Worst way to start the day is finding a nail in your tire when you're already in a rush, but this Discount Tire location made the whole experience so easy. They were able to repair my tire for free, and because my tires are under warranty, they would have replaced it if it couldn't be repaired. They also checked all of my tires, including the spare, and thank goodness they did. My spare was from 2015 and completely flat. They explained that you really shouldn't drive on a spare that old. Luckily, they had a new one in stock, so I was able to replace it for only $150. They even checked to make sure I had all the tools and parts needed to actually change the spare if I ever need to, so I don't end up stranded because I'm missing something important. Before I left, they made sure everything was properly filled and balanced and checked the tread on all of my tires. I went in stressed and left with total peace of mind. Another GREAT experience at Discount Tire. I haven't had anyone else touch my tires in probably 20 years or more. This location isn't totally new to me because I've had them air up my tires after a cold snap several times. ALWAYS nice guys. Today, I really needed tires. I had a massive screw grind into a tire and take it down in a matter of minutes. I knew I needed to have at least one more replaced, but this wasn't the best time! I always make an appointment. I was able to get the one replaced still under warranty and that left me with enough budget to get one of the others replaced that really needed it. My other two are in great shape, and they told me as much. Edward C/917 was my service advisor and I can't say enough good things about him. I have never had a problem with anyone at Discount Tire telling me something that wasn't true. Is their job to sell me more? SURE! But I can honestly say, ONLY IF YOU NEED IT. I did need what he said I needed. One and only one minor complaint: I always make an appointment. I wish they would have ONE register just for appointment people to check in. I still got out of there in less than an hour, per their own guarantee. My gripe stems from orthopedic injuries that make standing for long very uncomfortable. I went to this location to have my tires rotated. My car is 2023 with 16k miles on it. The gentleman who inspected my car told me I need new tires because they were wore down. That is completely wrong I know what bald tires look like and I also know properly maintenance tires that get rotated on a regular basis have a life expectancy of 50k miles. Not sure if the gentleman thought I didn't know any better and tried to get more money out of me. Not to mention the front passenger tire was replaced 5 months ago because it had an air bubble in it. I personally think it's a bad way to do business. First time there and will not be returning. I would give zero stars if I could. The location is 5540 Arapaho Rd in Dallas Update took my car to the dealership where I bought my car on Saturday, July 12 they were able to rotate my tires. They said my tires did not need to be replaced. They are currently at a six when they need to be replaced will be at a three so I'm good and this is the dealership telling me this so for the gentleman to tell me that I needed two front tires was falsely incorrect. read more

It's a little hard to get into (we always have to do a U-turn on Arapaho since we come from the west) or you can turn into the Super Walmart parking lot and go around through their parking lot. This location always provide excellent customer service. The wait times are minimal and there is a large waiting area so plenty of room to spread out. We like the free tire rotation that they provide and if you ever have a flat tire, they will repair it for no charge! I came out of Target run, only to discover I had a flat tire so my husband put the spare on and I drove my car over to Discount Tire Company have the tire fixed and they discovered a huge screw in one tire and an impact bubble in the other. I'm so glad that I stopped in because had I gotten on the highway I could have potentially had a blowout. I took my car in to have a tire rotation. The tires are original, and I only have 22,000 miles on the car. The associate came out to check the tires and said there was excessive wear on the inner side of the front tires, possibly due to a mechanical problem. I told him I wasn't getting new tires since the car and the tires were still under warranty and I would go to the dealer to have it checked. I'll admit I was a little curt with the guy since he was suggesting there was an issue - one that I didn't think existed. I took it to my local Hyundai dealer and had the car checked out plus the tire rotation. They said there was no problem and the wear on the tires was fine. A yellow dashboard light has been on in my car for about a week now, and like many people, I kept putting it off until I could find the tire gauge. My husband, not one to let it go, checked the tires and then rolled the car forward to check the tread and found the culprit - a nail. I was super bummed to hear about the nail, and even more disappointed to learn the tread was worn down on all of my tires and required being replaced. Thankfully my husband was willing to do the research on the best replacement options. Discount Tire was offering a $110 rebate for Michelin Defenders which seemed like a decent deal. On Sunday, I went online to checkout the deal and I went ahead and made an appointment for the earliest time available at 10:45 AM on Monday the very next day. When I arrived, I parked and headed towards the door, but employee Carlos told me I could wait in my car until they were ready for me. Once they were, I pulled my car into a bay with the help of Jose, and then Carlos met me inside the waiting room where I was able to jump the line, and pay for the service. I then sat in the lobby until service was complete, and Jose came and got me. There is a pandemic going on, so I was happy to see the employees wearing masks, keeping their distance, and cleaning counters and high traffic areas. They were also very good about quickly moving through the well spaced line and dispersing people so that they could return to their car, wait in an area in the spacious lobby, or wait on the bench outside where they had setup a shade tent and cooling fan. Unfortunately, not all of the customers wore masks, but most did. I wish the store would implement a policy requiring everyone to wear one inside. Fortunately, I was at Discount Tire for less than 30 minutes, and I mean from the moment I pulled up to the moment I drove away. They got me in and out of there very quickly. They were extremely efficient in getting the job done. The price for tires was not cheap ($715 before the rebate), but I'm not sure there are better deals out there for the quality we got. I would definitely come back here, especially if they are running tire or service specials. read more

When i arrived 15 minutes before closing, they went right to work and did everything, rotating, changing my tire. Took the car for a simple tire change after getting a blowout. I have low profile sporty tires for my 86, and they continually told me how I needed to get a matching set. I insisted I only needed one of the same tire, for which the salesperson rung me up for. 15 minutes later, he comes up to me and tells me that not only did he not have the same tire he already charged me for, but they had put on a different, more expensive tire and asked that I pay the difference. I had somewhere to be, so I did. But that's ridiculous to charge your customers for a mistake you've made. I am a bit skeptical of this location. I called in before heading over there because I had a slow leak in my drivers side front tire. They said they would patch it for free if it was patch-able which is much better than the $19.99 I was hearing from other places. I came in and they quickly welcomed me - everyone here is very friendly. A gentleman grabbed my keys and said he would go check out my tire pressure. He came back in and said that he could not patch the tire because it was too low of tread left. He said that two of my tires were a 4/32 and two of them were a 3/32. This is a scale starting at 11/32 down to 1/32 which is really bad. So a 4 or 3 they want you to replace. I was a bit confused because I had just replaced one tire maybe 6-9 months ago - how could it be that bad already? He showed me pricing for tires - no discounts for buying 4 btw unless there is a rebate of some kind but none that worked for me that day. The cheapest tire was $81 each plus install, etc. I had no planned to buy ANY tires that day let alone 4 so I tried to price match and negotiate but he was not having it. I asked him to show me the tires again and all of a sudden it was a different tune. The tire I just replaced was suddenly an 9-8/32 and he would offer me $30 to buy it and if I wanted a whole new set to have even wear. I am glad I asked him to show me because I knew I did not need all 4 tires. I found some tires online that were $52 each and asked him to match the price and all of a sudden more tire options popped up on the computer showing he had 2 in stock at the $50 range but were only good for 30K miles and etc. He finally gave me $5 off per tire on the $81 dollar tires. It only took them about 15 minutes to get me into a bay and replace them. Again, very friendly people but I feel like if I did not check my tires myself they would have scammed me out of a great tire to sell to someone else as used and charge me for all new ones. They do offer free rotations every 6K miles or so and they had free water and coffee. Sitting area was clean and the staff again were very friendly. I just feel a bit misled. read more

When he went thru I informed him I had a few years back from that very store he stopped talking about the age. When I asked how the leak occurred he said wear on the tire from which I stated for 20k miles there should not be that kind of wear on the tires. I brought my car here and had new tires put on. When they put the tires on they broke the bolts and lug nuts in two tires, causing one of the wheels to almost fall off, and leaving the wheel unusable so that I ended up having to buy brand new wheels. They wouldn't pay to have it replaced because they said there was no way to prove they had caused the damage. One week later, I had to bring my car back in to a different location because my tire pressure light came on. They claimed the sensor was broken, not by their doing, so I had to buy a new sensor. I find it hard to believe that one week after getting brand new wheels put on, the sensor on my 2019 suddenly broke and it has nothing to do with them. I'm really not sure why this particular DT is outstanding when compared to others. Even though it's next to Waly World (see YouTube), this place is top notch. Just like most places, they will price match, let you know of rebates, pull tires from other locations and special order (I wanted a particular set). You can get wheels too if you like. They have FREE AIR CHECK. You pull up, they guide you in, make sure you are running the right PSI's and you are on your way. No more fumbling for quarters and filling your tires in the rain or cold. You don't even get out of your car! Besides all that stuff (which other places do too), its the quality of service you receive and the way they treat you. Everyone is treated with like a customer should, even if you don't buy anything. That's where most businesses fail. They work on your car within reasonable time and have you back on the road quickly.
