Came in to get a dress hemmed and the slit closed for a baptism I'm attending. $30 for the job and turn around was 5 business days. I picked up the dress this morning. Hem chalk lines are still on the dress (I'm not sure if this is standard, I suppose I could clean it myself for tomorrow). More, there are TONS of loose threads in the front where the slit was closed. I'm concerned for the integrity of the seam. As you can see in the video, they're coming out with very little effort. I'm not sure if this was an issue in just finishing the process, but a little disappointing nonetheless. read more

I've been to many tailors over my lifetime. They know what they are doing. I've never had a "redo" in any of my clothes. Suits, Hawaiian shirts, dress pants, jeans, and even way-too-long pajama pants have been done by them. Always perfection. The prices are way, way, way more than reasonable. This place is horrible. I can't believe I brought a bridesmaid dress here. First off, I tried the dress on inside with a pair of heels on. The dress was too loose and too long, this was clearly the problem for anyone to see when trying on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lady had looked at the dress on me, put a couple pins in for the proper height of the dress, I told her I wanted it tighter up top and brought in a bit. She had told me "it doesn't need to be tighter, that it was fine and looked good, I can just wear clear bra straps and buy them somewhere else if they didn't come with the dress."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mind you my dress is falling down and it's loose and baggy upon appearance when tried on... can't wait to wear this one for a wedding I'm in!!!! Any tailor should be able to visualize what's wrong when a customer is trying something on in front of them, this was not the case. Either a combination of no experience and lack of care or no desire to help, unsure of what was going on here. I have in because I needed this dress fixed, I figured you know what yep you're right. Payed $60+ for a single hem, mind you they don't take card, only cash or venmo but they don't advertise any of that. Anyways I went on my way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then 2 weeks later comes my pick up date. Absolutely a mess, a waste of money and they didn't bother to listen of what I needed done on the dress.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ended up taking my dress back to someone else, Tina's Tailor in Costa Mesa and the service there was phenomenal, I even received a same day turnaround for not even half the price of what I was charged here at MM Tailor. So here I am.... Buying a new suit for a funeral. Took it to 2 places which told me it was impossible to tailor my suit within the 3 hours I needed it. MM lady looks at me sternly... smiles, measured me up and says, we close at 6, be here at 6. I show up at 550.... Suit is tailored, I tip her, promise her a review for her help and reasonably priced service and I'm off to a celebration of Life. Tailored and happy. Very quick drop off and pick up. $6 for altering pants shorter. It took 3 days and they didn't call when it was done. She just told me to change, stuck a pin in the pants, and that was that. Very straightforward. I'm not sure what the pricing is supposed to be but seems reasonable. read more

This is the 5th time I've come here for tailoring. Each time I've come here I leave a happy customer. :) In the past I've had sleeves shortened, pants hemmed, my pant waist taken in, shirts taken in on the sides and darts put on my dress shirts. Prices are fair and the work is great. Some of the negative reviews do not sound anything like what I've experienced. The Good: The best prices that I know of for original hems. They are fast, friendly, and priced right. I took a pair of jeans in to get hemmed and you really can't tell the difference between them, non-altered jeans, and a hem from a tailor that charges twice the price. This is my go to place for now on. The Bad: They only take cash. The Ben: They do so much volume that they can charge lower prices? I don't know how or why but I'm glad they do. read more
