This has been my tailor since about 1997. I remember the mom and dad well. Always provided great customer service and superior craftsmanship! Their business space was small-to-mid size and expanded to the current larger size, to accommodate their clientele growth. I need special sizing of one pant leg to compensate for external orthopedic lift- aesthetically. The hem must be long enough to cover lift. Every once in a while, they'd make hem perfect- go figure! I bought a bridesmaid dress in size 2, thinking it would be totally fine, as I always fit into XS without any problem. Wellllll I was wrong. The dress was too tight in the bust area and was too long. I took the dress in 3 days before my best friend's wedding!! The tailor said she'd have it ready for me. I gave her a huge hug and thanked her for helping me so last minute. She let the dress out in the back, added straps, and hemmed the dress to fit me perfectly!!!! Thank you!! I would recommend this sweet little tailor to anyone. She's amazing. I have been coming here since moving to OC in 2016. The quality is unmatched and I have had about 5 good experiences with MM. Today I picked up 2 pairs of suit pants that I had tapered for a tailored look. The cost is $15 per pair. I highly recommend this no nonsense seamstress. read more

The best thing about this store is the low, low, low prices. I got my jeans and slacks altered here for $4 each! But, unlike other places, I don't think your garments are steamed when returned to you. My only gripe is that the lady who takes measurements insists heavily on her length suggestions. Saw all the great reviews so I went in to get a pair of jeans tapered. After a week I picked them up and found that my left out-seam line and my right inseam line crossed over my shins. They wouldn't fix the obvious mistake and now I'm out a pair of jeans plus the cost of alteration. Don't come here. read more

I come here regularly for 7 years, I don't know who the seamstress or lady is but she's the only one I trust with; pants, shirts, suits, etc. Taking in or hem altered for better. I've never had an issue with them, they have changing rooms and they'll fit you for the modification there in the space. She knows what she's doing! read more

I went in after reading the reviews on yelp and was disappointed when I left. First off, I was charged $10 for simple hemming on some dress pants and everyone else seemed to only pay $5! Not sure how that happened. Secondly, I did not get what I wanted done correctly. I would give this shop a single star but it seems others have had a good experience so the get two, i guess for getting my pants back in 3 days or so. read more

I've been getting alterations here for over 20 years. They give great service for a very reasonable price... definitely the most inexpensive in town. I brought a vintage dress in today to get a tear sewn up and they literally did it right on the spot and charged me only $2.00. I was in and out within 10 minutes and they did a great job! Very satisfied with the job here!! Had a pair of work pants hemmed for $5 and it only took 3 days! Looked nice too. I had another pair of pants taken in a little and hemmed, cost $17. Not sure why that was so much more, it was not like she was redesigning anything, but not the less they did a good job. For a basic hem, its a great job and a stellar price!! read more

I agree with Grace's review. Actually my cousin had introduced me to this place since I was looking for some cheap places to get my clothes hemmed. For the nicer pants I took them to Spatola but for the regular ones, I went to MM. They original hem for $10, I was going to original hem, one pair of jeans but the lady said it wasn't worth it and I had to agree. I would give them a 4 star BUT when I went for the first time last week, they made me wait over 10 minutes just standing there until another customer had walked in and then they realized and remembered I was there. If that customer didn't walk in that second, I was about to walk out on them and take my services elsewhere. read more

I've brought clothes to get hemmed here before but I never realized what great prices they have until I shopped around other tailors. I would recommend you only bring clothes that need simple alterations and I would leave all the fancy work for Spatola Tailoring. I've brought dresses here before but was unsatisfied with the work done so I had to go to Benny to get it fixed. Otherwise, they've never let me down with pants, tops, you name it. Great place to get your jeans or pants hemmed to the right size; the ladies here know what they are doing! The only problem is that it is VERY VERY rare that they mess up an order which in my case i had a symbol from some board shorts i wanted to move since i was getting them hemmed and she just flipped the symbol upside down by mistake, BUT i took it back and they did fix it for free. I do recommend this place for a quick hem and the price is off the wall cheap. Only problem is that they take cash only, but thats not a problem in my case but for most people who use credit only I believe they should be informed before they come here without some cash. read more

For the low prices, this place is definitely worth it. Only $5 to get your pants shortened and hemmed. And the quiet little asian lady is always efficient and helpful. This place is quick, reliable, and does a good job. Yeah, they don't steam your jeans ...but who cares? Definitely worth it for the time and hassle it takes to try to do alterations yourself! I've been taking my jeans and pants to hem at this place for years because it was super affordable and used to be down the street from where I lived before I moved away. But it wasn't until I dropped off my bridesmaid dress for hemming in August 2012 when I realized how good of a job they did! The dress I bought for the bridesmaids were long, and had many pieces layered vertically (hard to describe). They charged me half of what some of my bridesmaids paid at Macy's and other private tailors, did a beautiful job and had it ready for me in time for the wedding. I would definitely continue to go there for my basic hems and recommend others to go for jobs big and small. read more

So I tried this place after reading all the reviews. I had a 50/50 shot. Well, I went in to get a dress taken in. $20. Almost half the price of the dress. Oh well as long as it fits right? I picked it up and it was still too big. I told them this and the older lady started saying no no it looks good. Ok, first off I know what looks good on my body and what doesn't. Then she leaves the dressing room and starts talking ish in her own language which is so rude (I'm Asian so I don't mind going there). And there were stains where she took it in. Yellow dye marks. Wth??? So that will be the first and last time there. read more

It's tough to find a good tailor. I've had many bad experiences in the past. Most self-proclaimed tailors are overly priced and under deliver. MM Tailor is family own and tailoring is all they do on site. Not like some cleaners or other places that send it out to a third party. They have done excellent work with every single garment I have brought in. Twice, I had minor issues, the sleeves were an eight of an inch off and they re-did it for me within the hour at no extra charge. Best thing is they are right around the corner from my house and pricing is quite reasonable too. Definately, worth a visit if you are particular like me. They get four stars because customer service is a bit dry and the lady's English is hard to understand. However, the quality of work and business ethics is there and that's most important to me. read more
