Just to start the food wasn't bad (as a Texan coming to Texas Roadhouse I was surprised how good it was) and the servers were decent however my issue is with the presentation of the food/drinks and service. I precalled an hour in advance since we had a party of 10 and they put us at two booths- that was very annoying but we over came the issue. The server was ok- he forgot my drink and I had to ask- and this is how it came vs the picture they displayed- it was a HUGE disappointment! But I couldn't tell our server as he was running back and forth. I get it's busy but you should still be better about checking on your tables. Our drinks were empty most of the time and our server forgot about us which we had to flag him down. Our food was delivered by someone else and by the time he came to check if we "needed anything" we were all mostly done- that was disappointing. Overall it was a disappointing experience for my first time. I would recommend them stop pushing gift cards over and over (it was very annoying to constantly say no thank you) while we are ordering or checking out and care more about providing a better experience and have better presentation. read more

Oh my goodness! I just had the WORST EXPERIENCE at Texas Roadhouse in Davenport, which is weird, because we have been going to Texas Roadhouses for years. We always buy gift cards for friends and families, and enjoy stopping by in any city we happen to be in. Tonight was different. After a movie, I stopped by to pick up dinner to go for the family. I went to the bar to place my to go order and...wait for it...was refused service. No joke. I was told by the woman behind the bar that I would need to "go outside to the back of the restaurant" if I wanted food. Hmmm... it is 43 degrees outside right now. I just wanted to order dinner to go, get a non-alcoholic beverage while I waited, and watch some sports. But she was having none of that. She made me feel small as she smirked and told me she would not serve me. Apparently, I was not the only woman she didn't want to serve at the bar tonight. She told another lady to "go outside to the back of the restaurant" as well. Smirking the entire time. Shout out to the AMAZING assistant manager who found out about this, paid for my 2 steak dinners, and apologized about 10 times to me. But she had to convince the general manager that this was the right thing to do. Bottom line: DO NOT go to Texas Roadhouse until they get a new general manager. Someone hired the rude bartender, and I can't believe that this rude employee is allowed to treat customers like this. Never going back until I see an "under new manager" sign. Avoid at all costs unless you, too, want to feel like a second class citizen. read more

Abby was our server, she was fantastic. We had free cactus blossom and we both ordered 12oz ribeyes with loaded baked potatos. My wife had a side salad that she enjoyed, I had green beans that were delicious but too salty. Both of the ribeyes were juicy and delicious but too salty. Restaurant is significantly overpriced. When you walk in the Chef/Owner is constantly giving this very bizarre and loud presentation on the food and the meat to patrons who are waiting to be seated. Banging pan lids together and speaking very loudly- very unsettling. Ordered the Cajun Ribeye- it was not good. Smothered in sauce - no steak should be smothered in that much sauce. Meat was chewy and not cooked properly. I am not sure the cut of meat was even a ribeye. Dial it down. Good steaks do not need a lot of help. They should stand on their own without a mountain of sauce. read more

Visited Texas Roadhouse at new one on Stanley in Mesa AZ last night March 31, Monday, at 3 pm. We were seated quickly. Rolls were brought as we were seated--they are delicious. The new restaurant was very nice. We had an appetizer from an email for my birthday. Ordered the ribs and fries. Asked if we wanted extra sauce. We said no but after a bit, we asked for more when they brought our salads. The wait staff was very good. Our main course arrived less than 5 minutes after salad and ribs arrived. All our food was on the table at the same time--I do like to eat the salad and appetize first because then the food gets cold. We had prime rib which we thought was the best we have had any where. Only problem was when the bill arrived. The price went from $20.99 (as was on internet as 2025 prices) to $29.99. A 43% raise. WOW! read more

It's very busy today and this is still the best place to eat in Iowa. They are always staffed to handle the volume of business because they are busy every day and night. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to special needs dieters. Our server is Samantha today. She is the absolute best! My wife had the chopped steak with a baked potato a a side of shrimp. I had the Ribeye steak with mashed potatoes. Both were excellent. The music is loud and that is the only con. Definitely one of our favorite restaurant locations. read more

Our normal experience is great food and mediocre service. This time, however, they took the service to a new low I have never before experienced at any restaurant. To make it a short story, we each ordered a steak and a baked potato. They brought the steaks for one side of the table. Just the steaks. And they said they said they were out of potatoes for the next 10-15 minutes. We could wait and let our steaks get cold or take fries. Then 5 minutes later they brought just the steaks for the other side of the table and one baked potato. So we said that if they had baked potatoes again, since they brought one out, we wanted our baked potatoes. And we were told we could not have them since we changed to fries, that we also did not yet have. Who brings out half a meal? Why didn't they just wait 10 minutes and bring it all together. We will not be going back for a very long time. read more

First off Love the food, especially the baked sweet potato and the rolls. That is not the issue here. My friend and I went for late lunch a couple weeks ago. The server was attentive and did check on us often. My friend was paying the check. She asked the server for the bill and the server said oh just use this and pointed to the Kiosk on the table. My friend said I don't like using those. So the waitress said hand me your card. She put the card in the machine. Asked my friend if she wanted a receipt? My friend said no. The server was unaware that I was watching what she was doing on the machine. She finished, gave the card back to my friend. My friend said.. do I leave the tip on the table? The server said yes and walked away. After she walked away I told my friend that the server hit the tip button that said 25% . My friend could not believe it. Then she asked the server for a receipt. When she gave the printed receipt to my friend Sure enough the 25% was rung up on the receipt. My friend asked the server what's this 25% ?? The server bold faced lied and said oh I am sorry but sometimes these machines do this themselves. On our way out we did speak to the manager about the server choosing a tip for herself . If I hadn't see her do that, the server would have got another 25% out of my friend. We will go back because we both love the food and for the time being this is the only Texas Road House in the area. However if you go please get a printed receipt yourself or use the Kiosk yourself. The last few times we've noticed the steaks are not as tender as they used to be for years....even the Dallas Filet's. My wife also tried the prime rib for something different to try....same thing, a tough piece of meat. After several tries over a period of time we're on hold hoping that they get the problem fixed. Saturday my wife and I waited 30 minutes for a table and were taken to a booth that my wife cannot use due to her disability. Back to the waiting area for another 30 min. Fail #1. I ordered 16oz prime rib medium rare. I didn't get the salad I ordered till after the prime rib was delivered. I asked for the salad to be packaged so I could take it home: never got it. The prime rib was medium well, dry, and did not have that good prime rib flavor I expect. Fail #2. My wife's salmon was overcooked and dry. Fail #3. We would have sent them back but we could not wait another 30 minutes to get another meal. Also, I did not get my ice cream dessert for my birthday. The side baked potato and green beans were good. The noise level kept kicking off the noise notifications on my watch. I don't recommend this location as they don't have enough trained staff to properly serve a weekend crowd! read more

Took my daughter hoping to get lunch, was seated and Waited and waited for a waiter to come take our drink order. I had to stop someone and ask if they knew where our waiter was. Meanwhile I notice everyone else that showed up after us was getting amazing service. Put our drinks as well as our meal order in. Was another long wait for apps to come out, dishes and cups were dirty as well. Place was pretty busy but nothing normal than usual, plus seeing the tables that came after us received great service made me more upset. Long wait between apps and salad and they forgot my daughter salad, wasn't even our waitress that took the order so she had no idea. Asked to speak to a manager and a young man comes out with a smug look on his face and instead of listening to me as a customer he begins to try to lie and make up excuses for the horrible service. However, the last few times we've been here, when the 'Texas Roadhouse theme song' comes on, they jack-up the volume to a level that's literally painful to my ears. I voiced my concern to the manager on duty, and he told me "that's what corporate wants." I have mixed thoughts on this location. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the area but my favorite meal of all time has gotten progressively worse. The pulled pork meal... with so much fatty pieces that each time I visit it seems to get bigger and bigger. The hard/burned pieces seem to increase as well. Onto the good: the mashed potatoes have consistently been a go to. You cant go wrong with the complimentary unlimited rolls with cinnamon butter spread. The little slice of a roll that comes with the pulled pork meal is typically the perfect crunch to it. Sometimes the music can be so loud that it can be hard to hear the person sitting next to you. I'd recommend adding your name to the waitlist early as the wait can be very long during the busy hours. They handle it well with smiles on their faces. read more

My family and stopped here for dinner after the Bix. As we were driving to the restaurant, my sister booked us a table. It was quite busy here, so we munched in peanuts in the waiting area. Make sure you make your reservations ahead of time. Once our paiger buzzed, we were brought to our table and had warm rolls brought to us. Our waitress checked in a few moments later to order our drinks. She was very nice and kept brining refills to everyone. I had the 6oz sirloin with grilled shrimp, buttered corn, and apple sauce. The steak and shrimp were well seasoned. There was even a little cup of butter with seasoning to dip the shrimp in. The corn was nice and buttery. The Apple sauce was a perfect end to the meal. Texas Roadhouse is a restaurant we often visit; however, our most recent visit was disappointing. While the food was acceptable, our server olivia displayed a lack of professionalism and courtesy. From the moment we were seated, her demeanor was unpleasant, and she seemed rushed. After serving us the initial basket of rolls, she failed to bring additional rolls when we requested them. we did not rush her about it because we had our appetiser. We had to signal her for a drink refill. When she presented the bill, we were still in the process of enjoying our steaks, and she left it without a word. My husband eventually reminded her about the rolls, as our toddler was persistently asking for them. In response, she rolled her eyes and suggested we could purchase a dozen if we wanted more, which was surprising given our nearly eight years of patronage without such an issue. She did not return to our table until we were ready to leave, instead attending to the table next to us and deliberately avoiding us. Her performance was unacceptable, and she is ill-suited for a role in customer service read more

FREE PEANUTS - nuf said! Actually, this Texas roadhouse is the only one that has offered peanuts through the several Texas Roadhouses that we've been to throughout our roadtrip towards Mt. Rushmore. Efficient and friendly staff. Everyone working in this chain of restaurants wears t-shirts with "I Love My Job" on the back, but one gets the feeling that it's not just a saying for them but a true statement.
