The work was scheduled to begin the following Monday at 8:00. The three person crew was on site on time and completed the job by 3:00. They were efficient, friendly, kept our house and work area clean and organized. 100% of the old material was hauled away, leaving no sign they were ever there. We could not have been more pleased! We have since made referrals to three of our neighbors and highly recommended Airmech and Alex to anyone considering a system upgrade or replacement. The installed price was very competitive and actually lower than the prices paid by some of our neighbors. All available rebates were applied to help offset the total cost. Their initial estimate was for a smaller system so I requested that they provide an estimate for a larger system. The staff was great and provided an estimate for the larger system which I appreciated. On the day of setup, they two employees provided information on the system and were timely and quick in set-up. I appreciated how friendly they were and they provided information on the system. During set-up they notified their might be a power issue related to the system but after discussion with the owner, they determined that the system would be adequately powered. Overall it was a great experience and I believe the system the set-up was a great value. Looking to get lower bills in the summer when the heat cranks up! Only issue that I did not notice till later is that they actually had changed out to from a stealth to a trident but they had upped the version. Initially I was surprised by this but since it was a larger system and it was still able to be powered I did not have any issues.

The technician was very nice, and the price seemed to be solid. The technician advised me that the units were very very old but seemed to be running fine. He suggested I could do a couple things to make the heater run more efficiently, which was great. However, soon after he left the unit stopped working all together. I thought it was the thermostat because it was giving issues and thought it just quit. NOPE. I found myself crawling into the attic and reassembling the panels to the heater because they were not reattached correctly and not engaging the safety switch. Also, he pointed out that the thermostat had a blue wire but it was not connected. While in the attic, I noticed the blue wire was not connected to the heater. For doing a maintenance on the heater he sure missed a pretty important piece. There was also no reason why I needed to go into the attic to fix the heater THAT JUST HAD A SERVICE LESS THAN 24 HOURS EARLIER. Jaguar, please reach out to me. Unacceptable.

He even didn't want to charge me for anything but when I insist, he just charged me for a simple diagnosis service. He could have charged me for a full HVAC replacement! but he fixed it!. :) Their Yelp five star is a real FIVE. These guys are super honest which might be rare in these days!. I had to let tech come earlier but felt slow on task- only found switch not working. Felt it was Appropriate pricing for diagnosing our house fan = $79. I Was told they have to check if the kind of switch we have is available. Then gave me an estimate of $395 to change the "faulty switch" for quietcool. But $79 diagnostic fee go towards the $395. Thankfully, I got a 2nd opinion from a coworker's husband who is an electrician and researched some more online about the estimate. TOO STEEP! The switch is only $35-50 in home depot. I understand we all need to make a living but dayyyyyym.

We recently had a terrible experience with our home warranty company and the HVAC contractor they…read moredispatched. The work that that contractor stated our system needed after doing a routine annual tune-up was that the evaporative cooler needed to be replaced; and was going to cost us over $4,500 out-of-pocket (and the home warranty was going to cover a mere $400). This work turned out to be completely unnecessary. After reading up on the reviews of that company the home warranty company dispatched, it sounded to us like it's their business motto to rip off homeowners through their home warranty companies. My instincts told me that we needed to get a second opinion after getting their "diagnosis" and quote, as well as after reading their reviews. However, our home warranty company declined our request for a second opinion. We contacted Climate Solutions for a second opinion anyway on our own. To be clear, I wanted to make sure we got a thorough inspection and an independent opinion, and not influence their opinion by sharing the diagnosis of the other contractor. So, I never told them that we were told we needed to replace the evaporative cooler. Kao came out as scheduled, and after his inspection, told us our system was just a bit low on refrigerant, but it's still functioning just fine (and it is, as we've never had any issues, and the "issue" we were told we had resulted from just a routine seasonal tune-up). We ended up saving ourselves from getting ripped off over $4,500. We also decided to be done with our home warranty company, as it is clear to us they do not properly vet their contractors, nor do they value their customers' feedback, opinion, and their best interest. We highly recommend Kao and Climate Solutions. They are reliable, trustworthy, and reasonable in their work and pricing. We will continue to use Kao's service for all our HVAC needs going forward.

Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few…read moreyears ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.
