I am so sad to write this but must for my fellow people who love Thai and Lao food. I will not be ordering from this place again. Having eaten both cuisines my entire life as a Southeast Asian and having made both myself growing up. Service was good and staff were friendly. 1) pad Thai: ok, but didn't have enough tamarind flavor. Generous amount of chicken and tofu. This saved our meal. 2) Laos style papaya salad: worst I've ever had. The papaya is shredded wrong, was missing an ingredient, and I've never had it served with purple cabbage. A must skip. I have a feeling they do not make it in a mortar and pestle.

I had seen reviews and they made me curious about Thai & Lao food served in this bowling alley. They also serve traditional bowling alley fare as well. But for the adventure I need to find out for myself for all the hype. I narrowed down my order to Pad See Ew Chicken and Thai Ice Tea. I made it to a "to go" order. It was packaged well. Having it a home was probably choice than the bowling alley for obvious reasons. I wanted to be overwhelmed by the food but found it to less than I can get at local Thai restaurants in town. I guess I had high hopes. The Thai ice tea is what you ordinarily expect. Also, the dish prices are slightly higher than those in town. So if you're bowling and crave for Thai & Lao food look no further.

My family and I came by not really expecting much from this place. We were excited to try some of the lao dishes we grew up with and were pleasantly surprised with quick service, good food, and a fun environment. We ordered the angel wings, beef jerky, lao sausage, papaya, and khao piek. All were made fresh and quick. A solid pick if you want to impress some friends with well made lao food from a small cafe in the back of a bowling alley. Would definitely revisit this place!

Deep Fried Spare Rib with Special Sauce My FAVORITE dish. I order it to go usually after I am done bowling as I need some good food to absorb all the alcohol I consumed. I can't tell you how much I love this dish. I look forward to taking it home every time I bowl. Other things I've tried and love: CHICKEN WING EGG ROLLS LADY FINGERS BEEF SALAD FRIED WONTONS LAO SAUSAGE PAPAYA SALAD Try the Asian menu. You will not be disappointed.

If you're craving lao food and don't want to venture to far out of the Hayward/Castro valley area, this spot is hidden inside the Castro valley bowling alley. Got the Lao sausage 7.5/10 Papaya salad 8/10 Really enjoyed my meal

Great food! Not your normal bowling alley food. Try their chicken wings, appetizers and rice plates.

We had the smore pancake, peach cobbler pancake, and banana apricot French toast. Everything was super yummy and perfectly satiated my sweet tooth. Pancakes were fluffy and portions were generous. It was my first time trying seafood with ny eggs benedict. The Neptune eggs benedict had plenty of shrimp/crab and avocado, and the eggs were soft, but it also kind of felt like overkill where there was too much. The hash browns could have been more crispy. Very spacious with plenty of tables. There was constantly a line of people out the door. But the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating.

The CFS here at Breakfast Club was not it. Yes it was big but it was underseasoned. I've been to other breakfast spot that taste better and cheaper. 2/5 for the size of the food. 1/5 for the taste. My sons Strawberry Banana crepe was big yes, but the batter was cakey. It was doughy for a crepe. 3/5 Also didn't like that they put my cold Watermelon on top of my hot Hashbrown. So when I took a bite of my Watermelon it was warm. Who likes to eat warm watermelon I sure don't. I cannot speak for the other food we order because I did not taste them. This is our second time here. I want to mention that I didn't want to return after our first time. But my family did, so we had too. Now they know why we will not return here...

I love the New Orleans food scene and therefore had a pretty high bar for Cajun food outside of Louisiana. I came in a little hesitant because I've been disappointed too many times by the options we have in the bay for Cajun food. But after I opened the box and took my first bite of that blackened shrimp Po Boy I could've sworn I thought I was sitting in the French Quarter again. The nice young lady that took my order recommended the blackened shrimp as an underrated choice on the po boys so I had to try it out. I came stuffed with a Red wine coleslaw, tomatoes, pickle slices and a drizzle of their special sauce (that I can only describe as spicy cajun mayo). 12/10 and I'm not exaggerating I also had a side (and when I say side take it with a grain of salt cause this feeds like 3 people for being a side) of the fresh Crab fries. Not overdone with the ingredients yet what a powerful hit of flavor, the Cajun seasoning usually comes out a bit salty on fries but these guys figured out how to balance it with the fresh shredded crab on top, garnished off with some green onion and more special sauce, this thing made me look around the room to see if anyone else was reacting like this over the food. (And they were! People were sitting there talking about "last time I tried ___ and ___ and it was fire") In the end I saw a guy that looked very proud to be there and was helping around the place while running back to his computer, that was Brett, the owner. I had to go and shake the man's hand and pick his mind a bit. He's a born and raised in New Orleans guy and you could tell by his kindness and southern hospitality. (Dude gave me a delicious carrot cake to go) Unfortunately in the end I had to walk back out into the reminder that I was in Castro valley and not New Orleans but for minute I was able to remember everything that had previously experienced from my trips there and that's what a great meal should do for you. His city should be proud of what he created here. I will absolutely be back to work my way through the full menu and add more pics to this review.

The batter and crunch from the fish and shrimp was delicious. I didn't finish my grist and had them the next day and just as good. Brussels sprouts could have been chopped in 1/4 to get more sauce on them or cooked a little more tender. The Jambalaya was seasoned perfectly for me. The beignets were very dense and not light on the inside, maybe skip those next time. The brown sugar lemonade was on point!! Would recommend for a brunch date on a the weekends. The staff were helpful and responsive. Food came out quickly and the music set the ambiance

The charbroiled Smokey burgers were enough to make the meal, but the nice amount of large steak cut fries and pump ketchup really added to the meal. A bunch of places were mentioned and I looked up pretty much all of them, but this one looked the best based on the kind of burgers I like. I love a charbroiled burger where you can actually see and taste the char, a soft bun, and melted American cheese. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with an extra slice of cheese, swapped the regular onions for grilled onions, and got the fries extra crispy. The burger was amazing. You could really taste the char on the patty, and they even char the bun, which I loved. Everything worked really well together, and it was so good without tasting heavy or greasy like some burgers can. The fries were good, but I personally prefer thinner fries, more like McDonald's size. If I changed anything, I would've asked for extra mayo on the burger. Definitely coming back!
