Full of highly processed junk food in the grand tradition of 7-11. Not a nutritious option to be found in the place. Nevertheless, five stars. Why? Because this gas station is incredibly close to the car rental center at Tampa International Airport. I mean close. Like walking distance close. Use your maps program, and it will guide you down a few hundred feet through an adjacent back street and suddenly you're on Airport Service Road with the car rental center right in front of you. No getting back on the highway. No more traffic of any kind. You probably won't even see another car. Discovering this gas station as the spot to refill before returning the rental car may be very favorite thing about flying in and out of TPA. For what it's worth, I've always found the employees to be friendly too. Seriously, if you fly into Tampa a lot and rent a car, bookmark this gas station on Yelp for reference. Ideally, you'll have gone to the bathroom elsewhere, but if you're desperate, at least they have one.

The restrooms stink worse than you can imagine and are always out of soap. Worst of all, the day manager is rude and never acknowledges or thanks the customers. Avoid if at all possible! Try visiting the Circle K at Manhattan and Bay to Bay. That one isn't too far away, and you'll find it much more appropriate for a well run convenience store.

I was looking under the hotdog signage when the clerk approached me with an angry look. He asked what can he help me with. I said I was looking for a bun. He yelled at me to speak louder and then I spoke up and said I need a hotdog. He said they don't let customers handle the buns in a rude and condescending way as if I was doing something wrong. As usual, I give people the benefit of the doubt and I assume some people don't realize that they talk with an attitude. I was just feeling him out for a sec. I rarely interact with the employees as they are inside tending to business while I fuel up and go. I've seen employees outside picking up trash and emptying the trash cans by the pumps. A few times, I've stopped in for an afternoon Slurpee and the place looks clean. They had my favorite Slurpee flavors ready to go which is always a nice treat. There are a few transients in the parking lot but they did not approach me. As soon as DOT finishes the road construction on the turn lanes by both entrances/exits, this location will be much easier to access.
