The old one had a bulge at the bottom and was causing the case to pull apart. Shaddy was great! I cracked the crap out of my iphone6S after I dropped it on black friday (at home! not even at a target or something). I paid $80+ tax for my screen as only the glass was broken and my LCD was working fine. This was the non-apple glass as the apple glass one was +$30 on the 80. I went in to try and fix it and not only was the dude (different than the guy I had before) a complete ass but he refused to honor the warranty on my screen. Casualty of last year's Zion trip was a cracked iPhone screen when I tried to scramble over some boulders. It was a small enough blemish that I could live with. But while waiting on a boba order, I found myself staring at the Mobile Device Repair cart. Did a little simple math and realized I've spent more on Boba in the past 6 mos than Sam's asking price to install a replacement OLED screen! But that's not the reason for the 5 star review. The stars are for the service that Sam provided after I had walked away, went to work, returned home, charged the phone on an after market charger only to find out there was something wrong with the screen. I thought I had a poltergeist, a virus, an alien inhabiting my iPhone: the screen was recording all the apps that was starting up on its own, audible playing, iTunes blaring, photo snapping, screen mirroring the tv, all while on airplane mode with driving mode on! I shoved the phone into a cigar box that night and called Sam the next day. He assured me it was not a virus, possibly a defective screen, and said he would make it right. Weighing my options: Genius Bar (and spending mire $$) vs giving Sam the benefit of the doubt. I went w the later. And so far, all is working as expected.
