HIGHLY Recommend Mobile Paws and Dr Jessica Christiansen!! When I began working in Silicon Valley 3 years ago, I was living in the North Bay and only staying in town during work shifts. My senior 19lb cat began losing a lot of weight very quickly, and also suffered from occasional seizures. One week while in town for work, my Senior cat needed care, although he would need to be tranquilized to be seen in a vet office, and I didn't want to put him out while not healthy, as it also increases his risk of new seizures. I called half a dozen mobile vet services, and all told me they couldn't come out to see my cat for another week or two, but I needed someone to see him within a day or two. Thankfully, I then found the number for Mobile Paws, and Dr Jessica Christiansen said she'd make time to come out that night for me! In the past 3 years, the Doctor has helped my cat through possible cancer diagnoses, seizures, significant weight loss, abscessed injuries, multiple colds and respiratory infections, arthritis, kidney issues, thyroid issues, and now at 15 years old, he has an enlarged heart which causes fluid buildup in his belly, so the Doctor comes out to drain his belly every 3-6 weeks. When my cat needed x-rays, Doctor Jessica Christiansen brought an impressive Mobile Vet Van and was able to take and process x-rays within a few minutes in my driveway! She's great with pets and after 12.5 years of my cat being tranquilized for every vet office appointment, my cat has not needed to be medicated for a vet appt since switching to Dr Christiansen 3 years ago! This is a huge relief since he is older now and suffers from occasional seizures, I no longer feel comfortable tranquilizing him. When my last vet thought she felt a tumor in my cat's intestines, Dr Christiansen recommended a local Vet Hospital for the sonogram; they did a great job and no cancer was found, so they wanted to do surgery for multiple biopsies. Dr Christiansen counseled me on the phone a number of times to discuss options, statistics, quality of life for my cat, etc. I decided not to do any surgeries or further testing and that worked out for the best. I really could go on for much longer if I explained all the great help and advice she's given us over the years! MY FAVORITE VET EVER!! I've been a pet owner for over 15 years, and my pets see the vet at minimum once per year; I'm happy to say Dr Christiansen is the BEST vet my pets have ever seen! This vet comes to my house, so I don't have to fight my cats to get them in carriers, or listen to them cry during a long car ride...I can't believe I did that for so many years when a mobile vet is a 1000 times easier and more convenient! This Vet is really caring and very knowledgeable, and always willing to discuss various treatment options, or research something new or more in debt for me or my pets. I have 3 rescued cats, 5, 10, 15 years old, and Dr Christiansen provides great care for each of them during their different stages of life. My 5 year old cat spends most of his time outside chasing birds and mice, and fighting other cats (and sometimes even raccoons!), so he's often got fleas, allergies, or injuries that need tending too. My 10 year old cat is significantly overweight for her size, so the Doctor offers dieting and home-play suggestions, and keeps up with her annual vaccinations and check-ups. My 15 year old cat has begun to develop various health issues as she ages. The Doctor is great at giving suggestions and options for keeping her as healthy and quality of life as good as possible these last few years I have with my fur baby. I recommend Dr Christiansen to anyone with household or farm animals needing care or simply annual vaccinations! This Vet can do anything, and is easy and fun to work with! read more

Two years ago, I adopted a cat from the Peninsula Humane Society: an all black female short hair, named Midnight. She had been a stray and was still very nervous around people. Getting to a vet would have been a nightmare. The idea of getting her into and out of a carrier, and all the stress of getting to and from a vet's office - the waiting room with other animals. It was daunting for me, and I didn't want to put Midnight through it. Mobile Paws was recommend by a relative. I really can't recommend Dr. Jessica Christiansen highly enough. She was on time for the appointment and took time to carefully answer all my questions - it didn't feel rushed like at other vet's offices. Midnight is entirely comfortable around people and could travel to a vet's office now, but I still have Dr. Christiansen as her vet. It's just too easy, and the level of care so much better. read more

Dr. Christiansen came to our house to help our senior cat who fell very ill, and for whom being driven to the vet I was afraid would just be too traumatizing. Dr. Christiansen responded to my anxious call to visit promptly and with a caring, patient, and professional attitude not just immediately evaluated and diagnosed my cat's situation, but also performed, without having an usual access to state-of-the-art facilities, a surgical repair that saved my cat's life! I am both very thankful and relieved I have found Dr. Christiansen and her mobile service. It makes such a difference to very senior and very skittish cats to get a loving and capable care within the peaceful familiarity of their home. Today Dr. Jessica Christension and her assistant came to my home to examine our two cats. I admired their warmth and expertise in engaging each cat and proceeding professionally with each examine. Dr. Christension reviewed with me her findings and answered each of my questions completely. I was pleased that Dr. Christension arrived with an experienced assistant. We have used many different vets for our critters over the years, Dr. C stands out for her quiet compassion and true knowledge of her trade. Her pricing is very reasonable for house or barn calls. Dr. Christiansen is an excellent veterinarian. Her diagnoses are always accurate and her choice of treatment is careful and considerate . In addition, she is a very versatile veterinarian, her prices are reasonable, she is very nice and responsive and comes to your home.
