We had to put our 19 year old dog down this morning. We decided on an at home euthanasia to make sure my dog was in the comfort of his home surrounded by the people who loved him. These people gave me a time a mess to when they would come and they did not arrive. I took half a day off to meet them and they did not even bother to call or text to tell me they would be coming later. I had to run back to work and my job is 5 min away and they would not leave my doggy at my house or drop him off at my job. Then I specifically said to leave him at my house and he refused because he knew I was getting emotional and mad because they didn't meet their end of the agreement to which he states "it's out of their control " when he had said before they missed my exit and it was going to take them another 20 minutes to get back but that exit is less than 5 minutes away and there was no traffic. When I asked yet again to leave my dog he said the driver had already left and she could not have been more than 2 minutes away. My son and I were expecting his dog today and now he said that if I keep being difficult that he will postpone delivery completely to which I asked if that meant he was keeping my sons beloved dog forever and he said that's not what he meant but I don't know what else it could mean. He never said sorry, showed empathy or understanding. He took my dog even though he was by my house just to show me a lesson. He said he couldn't wait for 5 minutes for me even though they made a mistake by taking the wrong exit and my time tone at work was almost at the same time. Then he's threatening to keep my sons dog indefinitely as punishment???? I should have known not to go with them , as when I first called they never said sorry for your loss even though they are in this business. Then one of the business partners calls me and said she had made a determination that my dog will not be left at my place unless someone can receive him and that I should not be upset because that's not way to feel. She attacked me and my feelings because of my profession saying that I basically should not be as upset as I got because of my profession when I was upset due to their lack of empathy, understanding, professionalism . She was only listening to speak didn't care to hear my side and had made a determination that it was ok for her employee to say that my doggy would be delivered never. They are very rash and don't look at the emotional and heartbreaking side of the coin nor try to work with you on their strict delivery schedule even though I waited for hours for them.
