Where do I get started ? I would not recommend this place to anyone, Number one. The Groomer arrived 20 minutes late We gave him specific instructions how to cut the dogs hair? What's does he do ? I hate writing bad reviews... but the cut was just so bad. It started with the appointment. You have to make the appointment then pay a separate transaction of $50 to hold your spot. I don't know what happens if you have to cancel... your appointment and your payment are two separate transactions. Hopefully they have a better system of keeping them connected because it's confusing from the customers side. Good thing is, he showed up on time. I have read reviews where they're consistently late so I made sure to book their first appointment slot of the day. As for the rest of the appointment... it went downhill quickly after. One thing I don't want to mention but was an issue was that he didn't speak any English. I don't know any Spanish other than the typical greetings and ordering beer so that was no help. We ended up using google translate until he pulled up pictures of my dog's breed and pointed at one. I agreed and left it at that. Well, when he was finished, I expected to see a similar representation of the picture he chose now on my dog. Since I was in a meeting, my husband paid, tipped, and brought her back inside... in comes this weird little creature I was taken aback by. The picture he chose- I didn't even choose it, had a fluffy poodle with a round fluffy face and body. My dog was shaved way down and he shaved off her cheeks so she had this weird angry alien face. It was so horrible. It was the longest 2 months before her next appointment somewhere else and we're still trying to fix the mess. As nice and as prompt as the gentleman was, it was just too expensive of a service for such bad quality. read more

This company was recommended on NextDoor and has high ratings here on Yelp. My Dog came out of this experience smelling and looking good, if not exactly as I wanted. I had a terrible timer biking. They let me book for 4p, then asked if I could do 6. When I said yes, they asked me to do a different day. That went back and forth a while and I got a calendar invite for midnight. Eventually we settled on a time but I was ready for no one to show. The real rub was, there groomer didn't speak English. Those was my puppy's first groom. I really would have liked to be able to better communicate what I wanted, what was happening, how long it would take. My nanny tried to help translate but the Spanish-Portuguese connection and working through a translator left me very, very uneasy I could just have cancelled, but since I didn't, at least my puppy is clean and trimmed. I debated writing this review because I really think Bruno is a nice guy and the previous grooming appointments went well-- until this last one. This last grooming appointment was not a good experience for my dog AT ALL. After washing and cutting my dog Max's hair, he returned Max and as Max walked into my apartment he immediately threw up and Bruno said his eye was bleeding. I looked at him and he had popped eye vessels and a bleeding eye which was absolutely terrifying. Bruno said that he had a really hard time cutting his nails and Max "choked himself" on the grooming ring which caused his blood vessels in his eye to pop. I've never seen anything like this before and was so upset. Nevertheless, Bruno still charged me full price of $145 and sent one text later that night asking how he was. When I responded and told him that Max was throwing up all afternoon, he never responded back or followed up again. Very disappointed and will not be returning. They are punctual, very kind, responsive via text, and know what they're doing! They always make my pup look so cute. I just so them pics and they work their magic! I am writing this post to make all pet owners aware what happened to my dog during an at home grooming service. Last Friday at 8am my dog Skyy had an appointment for a bath. This was her 3rd bath with the company "Mobile pet grooming spa peninsula". About two hours later around 9:50am I received a text from them saying your dog is feeling unwell and asked if I could come outside. Once I went outside Skyy was laying on her side on the grooming table unable to move and struggling to breathe. I ran inside to get her some water in which she was unable to even touch because she was in horrible condition. My mom quickly grabbed her keys and the groomer had to carry her into the car because she could not even move. We drove to the nearest vet which we arrived within two minutes of leaving the house. I was sitting in the back seat with Skyy and watched her as she was barley breathing. I turned her head and her tongue was sticking out completely black and blue. The vet techs quickly ran out and grabbed her and immediately started CPR and intubated Skyy. Unfortunately the damage was done and 3 rounds of administering medications to try to restart her heart and 20 minutes of CPR she sadly passed away. The vet doctor said she suffered from a heat stroke and that her blood vessels were basically fried. For those of you that own Huskys you will know how vocal they are which is a true statement for Skyy, because whenever she would get a bath she would always sing a song for us and the neighbors to hear. In the beginning of this appointment I heard Skyy singing but later on did not hear her anymore which makes me believe she was muzzled further on into her appointment which ultimately led to her death. The vet explained to us that many people don't know dogs can't sweat like us humans which is what helps regulate our body's temperature. In the case for dogs, the way they lower there body's temperature is by breathing through there mouth, which again makes me believe she was muzzled because she was not able to lower her body's temperature through her mouth. Skyys temperature was so high the thermometer could not even read it. The vet told us that there temperature probe went up to 109 degrees fahrenheit, so Skyys temperature was way above that which caused her organs to shut down. I just want to make everyone aware that this is something that can happen to anyone and you never think something awful like this could happen to you or your pet until it unfortunately does. I thought this grooming service was very trustworthy due to there multiple certifications, and reviews. Please be very cautious while choosing a company to groom your pet and be very aware of the possible outcomes that can happen and always check up on your pets during there appointments. I would hate to see this happen to anybody else because it was the most horrible and traumatizing thing to witness. Below I attached Skyys report from the vet along with some photos of her. Best pet grooming experience this far! As a new dog mom, I've been trying to find a good groomer in the area that can give my puppy the perfect mini schnauzer cut. I tried a different mobile grooming company last month. They showed up late and couldn't understand the cut I was asking for. My baby ended up with a completely different look! The day of, Bruno showed up on time and took amazing care of my baby girl. She doesn't like strangers but Bruno made her feel comfortable. She wagged her tail at him even though she hates being groomed. He let me hold her while he trimmed certain areas to help her calm down. He had a photo of what I wanted and throughout the trimming, he referenced the photo multiple times. I cannot express how happy I am to have found this grooming company! I booked this appointment on their website as they encourage you to. It seemed like a simple process, you find an available time slot. Yeah you have to drop $50 to reserve the time, but I get it, you don't want "no shows". You get a confirmation email with a calendar invite. I don't know if they realize that every time they change the invite I keep getting emails. I got literally 8 emails because of this, and nothing was changed. Ok, maybe it's a mistake, I can let it go. But then the day before they had to change my appointment to the next day. Ok fine, rescheduling is understandable. But even then my groomer was 1.5hrs late. At this point this business doesn't seem like they have it together if being late is a constant thing. What's the point of an appointment system then? I ended up with a groomer with a language barrier. I'm all for employing capable people without discriminating, but the owner responded to another reviewer that it was her (the customer's) responsibility to ask for a translator. WTF. I had no idea who my groomer was going to be and had no idea he would be unable to communicate with me. It's up to the business to accommodate their employees and clients especially when it's a business where you have to communicate what you want. I wanted a lion cut for my cat. He sent me a picture and seemed to understand. However a lion cut isn't what I got. I also wished I could watch the process. I'm not sure if this is standard but I've had experience with other mobile groomers that allowed me to be present. That and being able to communicate I could have gotten the cut I wanted. Would give a zero star review if I could! We explicitly stated what we wanted done to our dog and the groomer followed zero of the directions. We asked for a very light trim on the body (leave 90% of the length) and to leave almost all the length on the head and to just reshape the beard. This requires more time but we were willing to pay for the service. Instead our dog came back completely shaved the same length from nose to tail. Zero beard was left, zero facial hair, zero head hair, and more than 80% of the body length was gone. On top of that the shampoo and conditioner seemed rushed, I know when I personally bathe our dog what his coat should feel and look like after a proper shampoo and condition. On top of that he was not properly brushed after the shampoo and condition as he shedding more than when we gave him to the groomer. If you want a groomer who follows directions, listen to the customers needs, and provides quality service then this IS NOT THE GROOMER FOR YOU!
