Her fur had become matted and needed to be shaved, which I understand, but the shaving process appears to have caused skin irritation. That was it for me. I got a recommendation from Pet Food Express in Belmont for OMD for Carlos. My husband and I stopped by with Soshi and spoke to Carlos and his wife, we were impressed. I've been to Oh My Dog twice and I probably won't go back after my second experience. It seems they did everything requested for my dog (wash him, cleaned his ears, brushed his teeth and trimmed his nails) but they are pretty expensive ($95 before tip) and I was very unimpressed with how they manage pick ups. I had to wait 10 minutes before someone helped me check out and my dog was brought out before I had a chance to pay, so by the time my account was pulled up, myself, my dog, two other people and one other dog were in their very small front area. My dog is reactive with other dogs and sometimes people too so this was pretty stressful and frankly, totally unnecessary. I highly encourage them to implement a system where people pay before their dogs are brought out to avoid this congestion and stressful situation in the future. read more

I found Oh My Dog after pup was butchered by someone else and I turned to the trusty yelp community for help. Carlos was able to fit us in and gave great advice about areas that still need to grow out from what we now refer to as "the butchering". The location is super easy to find with lots of parking. What did you do to my 11 month old Shorkie? Where do I begin? First of all, the new booking system is unreliable and misleading. I entered Full SM Bath and SM Haircut only to be told at the door that it was a flea and tick shampoo and trim at 4pm and they closed at 5pm with Carlos but a young lady was to take my pup. I decided to leave and rebooked, but already had another appointment booked for my 11month old Shorkie yesterday. I booked with our usual groomer since this would be his 3rd time getting groomed and she knows his baby tendencies and how he is still nervous around scissors. Only to be called for them to confirm. I said yes and confirmed the full bath and shampoo, nope. Not again. They had it down for a trim and something else.they said they can take me within the half hour, they gave me to ANOTHER groomer, I said that my Shorkie was matting and to pls not cut too too short as I know his mats were bad. But please do your best. Why, tell me why did you shave him bald, he has a cut on his chest and two bald spots (size of half dollars) in the middle of his chest?! He has a razor blade line down his hind leg and when I brought him home, it was so bad. He is food motivated and would not eat the rest of the night. He was aggressive with his brother, which he never is and would not play fetch, at all. And that is his favorite thing to do! He hid in the corner and would not let me touch him! I tried to comfort him, but wouldn't let me near him for almost two hours. Today, I'm hand feeding him, he hides in his crate. And I am beyond disbelief and disappointment. I have been coming here for 5 years, with my 5 year old Shih Tzu. We stopped for a while because it took forever to book the next appointment. Glad they ask if you'd like to book your next one when you're in front of them now. That's a plus one. But sadly to say, as a Business Owner myself. Customer Service is key. When you walk in, no one says hello to you or even looks at you especially when you're trying to say hello (as my own personal courtesy). You book with your usual, and they end up giving you someone else. Unprofessional. They take two dogs at the same time? Really? The woman who shaved my 11 mos old puppy asked if he was young. She also told me he's anxious with loud noises. One, yes pls read the notes before you take a new client/pup on, in case of allergies, reactive tendencies for your safety and theirs, and two, he was not scared/anxious or any of the sort of loud noises until this sad, sad appointment. I was told he was just getting used to getting trimmed so as suggested by his usual groomer, run a spoon around his body so he gets used to it. I did my homework. The staff looks overworked, tired and too busy to give a hello to the folks who pay good, hard earned money to take care of their four legged children. They used to say hello, they used to greet, they used to be professional. I'm sorry to say, but you've lost my business but I hope that you take into consideration of the notes, especially the Booking system, the staff swaps and are you taking care of your employees? The energy in your shop has gone down tremendously and apparently it's showing in your work. I have tons of fellow dog owners who take their pups to your shop and they were flabbergasted to hear and see my poor pups photos. read more

Our dog Nala has been getting groomed at Oh My Dog for 3ish years now (maybe longer). Nala is not an easy dog. She's a Samoyed with lots of anxiety and energy. No one would believe she's actually very well trained haha. She hates everything about being bathed especially the dryer. After coming here for over a year for our dog's haircut, there are many reasons we liked here, but we decided to leave this place. 1. Price has gone up 50%. We have a ~50lbs 5yo golden doodle. The haircut for the last two years has always been $120 + tips, which is about the price we paid for her grooming before we switched to oh my dog. But this latest haircut (April 2022) the price went up to $180 + tips. I called to confirm if that's the correct price since on the website $180 is haircut price for X-large dog like Burmese Mountain dog, which is normally over 90lbs. How can a 50lbs dog categorize the same as 90 lbs? they also listed Golden doodle as X-Large dog. There are different sizes of golden doodles, ranging from 20-80lbs. It doesn't make sense that no matter the size and weight, all golden doodles count as X-large! 2. It's so hard to make appointment now. When we first found oh my dog, we were able to make appointment 1-1.5 months in advance. Now if you want to get your dog groomed, you have to plan 3-4 months ahead. I guess they have so many customers that it makes sense to raise the price by 50% without being afraid of losing some. Updates: Owner emailed me to confirm that Mango should be categorized as Large dog rather than X-large. Large dog grooming is $150 now. he would credit back $30 to the next grooming. read more

I paid $170 for a wash and hair cut $150 + a $20 tip. I figured for that price they would have brushed her out or de-shed her, wrong. I don't even know which "package" I had. All I know is that I brushed so much hair off of her after her grooming. I called and asked if they de-shed her, they said no, it would be $25 extra. Long story short, for a 25lb dog, a bath, haircut, and de-shedding costs $175 before tip. They said they have a minute brushing but the amount of hair I pulled off of my dog was ridiculous. My dog was groomed here for the first time (she's a 9 year old multi-poodle) about 6 weeks ago, Naomi being the groomer. There is a true essence to the phrase "you get what you pay for." My grooming bill for a small size dog was truly quite shocking! What I do want to stress, though, is how GREAT my dog looks. Any groomer can do the puppy cut look which is what I usually get for my dog. What Naomi did was off the chart wonderful. She paid extra attention to my dogs feet and legs...this really is the first time the dogs lower body looked as good as the face. As well, after a bit of growing out, the dog is holding her cut! If you have a doodle, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! In what world does "light trim around the eyes so she can see" translate to "shave my puppy's fur down her snout"??? And why would you assume that when I came in with a puppy clearly with a puppy cut? Came here for a "just a trim package" with Melissa and came home with a nightmare of a haircut. It took 3 whole hours and cost $85. Unreal. Apparently other dog owners here are happy, but I see none of them are doodle owners. Clearly they have no idea how to cut doodles and will just go ahead and make a bunch of assumptions about what you want without asking or calling. The only thing redeeming about the service was that my dogs fur was soft and smelled good, but it didn't make up for the terrible haircut that was also uneven at the top. Also I learned that they charge $15 for express service which means the hairstylist only works on your dog and it's faster. Isn't that the whole point of making an appointment?? I did not pay that much to have my dog in a crate for hours. Go elsewhere. Even Petco has better service / more knowledgeable stylists. read more
