I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Paul with A Mobile Screen Shop! Living in an area where several neighbors have contracted West Nile Virus, our old screens needed to be replaced. We're not financially able to replace the windows yet.  And it's summer time! We attempted 3x's unsuccessfully to repair the screens on our 2 sliding glass doors (with a kindergartener and dog breaking the screen within minutes of repair) and decided to call in the experts. We called Paul to repair/replace our 2 sliding glass screen doors and 6 window screens (all of which are over 60 years old). Paul arrived on time and worked in the rain to access our windows and ended up replacing our 2 sliding glass screen doors.  However our 60 year old window screens posed a challenge and required a follow-up appointment. (I was concerned that with the vintage window design and age meant that the screens were beyond replacing or had to be fixed in place.) !!!PAUL TO THE RESCUE!!! Paul devised an innovative and elegant solution to tension hold the screens in place with a plunger on one side and a spring on the other!  The screens fit perfectly and are able to be removed and replaced for cleaning. read more

Just had two half Santa Fe swinging screens with cat doors installed. I took me quite a while to decide what mobile screen shop to go with. I used the quote feature on Yelp and all the screens came back around the same price... All very expensive. $942 for two screens installed... Crazy! The other downside is that you can't see/touch the screens before you purchase them. Paul seemed friendly and honest so I went with him. The install went great and the family is happy with two new screens. They look sharp. I wanted to go with the Centerion doors... But they were twice the cost, almost 2K! Called to get a general quote and ended up making an appointment for a more accurate quote following evaluation based on Pauls professionalism and courtesy on the phone. He came in today and made some recommendations to replace additional screen/frames AND not replace others based on practicality. I appreciated his insight on some things I didn't think of like Windows I never use/open, and that showed me he was there to serve me as best as he saw based on my individual needs not to just make as much money as he could since I would not have known any better. After I agreed on his findings, he discussed costs and details of each cost, the total was about what I expected so he moved forward with rescreening existing frames and making new frames for my 11 windows and sliding glass door screen, all basic screens and frames that were better quality than the ones they were replacing. He was here for about 2 1/2 hours total and the entire time was polite, friendly and didn't even mind dodging the dogs land mines in the back yard that my teenage son seemed to have missed picking up. (Can you yelp your own kids?) At the end we reviewed costs again and I paid. He takes all forms of payment, that's a plus. As much as I don't want to be that person that makes a big dramatic witty Yelp review, I like to support those small local businesses for their outstanding work and recommend others to consider them as well. I saw the Mobile Screen Shop truck when I was parked at a red light a long time ago and put the number in my phone. Recently, my iguana ripped a big hole in one of the screens and I had to get a pet screen put there because she hangs on the screens, and two other screens in my bedroom were wearing and torn, too. I thought I was calling the guy from years ago when I looked up the number in my cell, but when Paul came to my house, I realized it was the number I put in my phone when I saw the truck at a light I was stopped at. Anyway, when Paul came in, I showed him the other screens the other guy did years ago and he noticed immediately there was a 1-inch gap at the top of the screen because the other mobile screen repair guy put the wrong sized screen in. I saw it with a gap for years but assumed it "settled" or my cats did it hanging on the screen. But it was not the same frame that came with my home at all. Paul showed me and I was really annoyed at the other guy and glad I didn't find his number again! My frames were brittle after 13 years in the sun, so I needed new frames and I wanted the pet screens because they last many years and don't get cut up by my bearded dragon, large iguana or my cats. So Paul gave me a quote for two very large frames/pet screens and one smaller one for a total of $200. He went into his truck and did them all and installed them in less than an hour--wow! The quality of the frame FAR exceeded the other one and they fit PERFECTLY! My pets can scratch and hang on them all they want now because he has quality screens with mitered edges, versus the plastic inserts around the corners that were brittle the builder put in. I think the two screens were like 5 feet or larger and were $80 each, by the way. I have peace of mind now for my pets and durable frames and screens. Something that will last 10 years or longer was well worth it, and Paul was extremely professional and honest. I will be calling him to do some other screens in my house--not the other guy!
