I had to come back here because the manual rear entry ramp of my van was stuck and I couldn't get it the ramp down. A major problem as this is how I transport my son. Luckily he takes the bus to/from school so I had some time to get it fixed before he got home from school and potentially need it in the afternoon. Hubby called in the morning to see if they could look at it and they said I could bring it in. I immediately headed over and they were able to fix the issue fairly quickly (one of the parts came off) and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Yay! They have coffee/tea and snacks to munch on while you wait. The entire staff is all friendly and Steve C. (He originally helped us with our van conversion) is still there and is as awesome as usual, we were able to chat and catch up. Ask for him if you are in need of an accessible van! read more

Worst customer service... I need a wheelchair van for my elderly parents to move them. It didn't matter the amount of cost. I just wanted a good sized van. I tried to find pictures of the vans and couldn't find them. I decided to chat online and the chat online does not work. So I decided to call, and got nothing that was helpful. When you want to have a safe car to drive your elderly parents and want to be able to take it for a month it is important that customer service listens to your needs. I was told that only under certain approval would I be able to get a car delivered to the John Wayne airport in Orange County and that I would have to make a trip to the Pasadena location to get a van. In addition to getting a possible approval, it was gonna cost me an additional $300. No, thank you... All I wanted to see was the fleet of vans and consider the company for the month of August. Nothing... don't care to ask simple questions and get complicated answers. read more

Writing an updated review after the service was completed here. I'm shocked at the unprofessional behavior in this service department. The cost of any repair is insane. Be aware that they also charge to just inspect the vehicle to see what they will charge you. For one visit we made, we were charged $1500 to repair a cord which kept falling out and blocking the door and interrupting the ramp. They ended up using a zip tie on the cord. This took 3-4 hours plus $1500 is charges. It's unbelievable. If you do rent or purchase a vehicle here, I stand behind my previous review that they have great options for vehicles, but be sure you have your own local mechanic to repair the MANY repairs which will be needed on a mobility vehicle. I developed severe neuropathy and had very little feeling in my feet. I thought I wouldn't be able to drive again. I took driver rehabilitation training and they recommended I see Mobility Works for "hand controls" (controls that allow driving without the using your feet). Their mobility manager, Steve Casaus, was extremely helpful and spent quite a bit of time with me. He was able to provide me with hand controls that worked extremely well for my situation. I'm driving again. The people there were very personable, knowledgeable and courteous. I highly recommend them to anyone needing mobility products. read more

From the initial phone call ... to the in person greeting upon arrival at MobilityWorks, Ms. Alicia Aguilera was one of the most informative and pleasant customer service representatives I have experienced. By my calling in advance, Alicia had already prepared the rental contract so I only needed to supply my California driver's license and proof of insurance which made the process that much easier. The rental van was very clean, ready to go and full instructions were given to me by Alicia that made me feel like an expert on operation and all the safety features. Simply put, the departure was a breeze. Also, leaving my own personal vehicle in their secured lot left me without worry. The customer service at Mobility Works is simply unmatched. I had my hand controls put in over two years ago after my five spine surgeries. I remember feeling very discouraged that I had to have them put in, but my advisor Steve was extraordinarily polite and thorough when helping me. October 10/2017 Today was a great day! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I had to take my van back to mobility Works after only a little over 3 weeks because I was a dumb ass and hit the bottom of my van causing the flare to come away from my van , I'm going on a trip with my sons to see their father shortly and needed it to be fixed like yesterday and again Tim came through getting me an appointment with Mike Martin within 3 working days I was in getting my van fixed! Mike Martin was fantastic and came right over to us asking what our problem with my van,I felt so embarrassed because of the reason I was bringing in the van (because of My carelessness)well Mike took all my information ( and never made me feel bad about what I did . My embarrassment just went away) and had the van in the shop working on it at my appointment time. He was so friendly and helpful!Within a short period of time he made it safe and put back together!! After fixing the damage I caused Mike explained that normally this would have been done at a body shop. That they said if I want the very bottom of the flare to match up better or if it was worse then it was or he Mike couldn't have made it safe again repeating myself I would have had to take it to a body shop. I guess the reason I'm going on about Tim Rosso & Mike Martin is they did so much for me a kept me from postponing our trip! This is why I came back when I was ready to buy a new van!! I went from buying a 2013 Dodge Caravan but after having the Caravan for just under 4 years I bought a 2017 Pacifica Touring L-Plus. You should go by there they don't push you to buy anything but they do educate you on how well this vehicle could benefit you and the special little things that are there for you as the driver! I had a great salesman named Tim Russo. He made my purchase of a wheelchair van with an auto-ramp a pleasant experience. No high pressure. He answered all my questions and I had many. We must have discussed every Van on the lot before I purchased. All of the other personnel have also been positive and ready to help. I found this true with the mechanics as well when I had my first service. From time to time I'll call to ask Tim a question about the van. It's always like talking to an old friend. Pasadena's Service Manager Kyle Frye thoroughly checked my wheelchair van than had not been serviced since 2019 due to COVID. He recommended replacing or repairing a number of critical components, including the tires which had internal dry rot. Kyle took the time to explain what needed to be done and why. Took my dad's van in to replace a door hinge. I had a service appt and they got it done in the time specified. A few days later, we ordered the other two door hinges because they were in bad shape. I was disappointed that it took a month for the parts to arrive (granted - they were parts for a 2000 van), but I'm grateful because they offered to replace them for free. Anyone who has a family member, a friend, or knows someone close to them who is disabled and in a wheelchair knows how difficult it is when it comes to transportation. I'm a caregiver for a gentleman who is quadriplegic and in a wheelchair. Today we went to Mobility Works in Pasadena to get his van serviced we were told that it would take 3.5 hours because some extra work had to be done so we asked if there was a vehicle we could borrow in the mean time they said they could check if there were any rentals available in the mean time, there weren't any so they gave us the option of having one of the drivers take us somewhere while our van was ready, we decided on the mall. On our way there we asked the driver if he would be the one picking us up he said most likely, we were in the mall for about 3 hours and we called to see how much longer until the van was ready. The secretary answered the phone she transferred me to the service area, no one answered so it transferred me back to her I told her we had been dropped off at the mall and that we wanted to know how much longer until the van was ready she went and asked they said about 30 mins so I told her if they told her when we would be picked up she said no so I asked her to please ask them to call us when they were on there way she said of course. An hour goes by and we still had not received a call so we called them, the office was closed! I called about 5-6 times when someone finally answered in the service area, it was the gentleman who had given us the option to be given a ride, when we told him that we were still waiting at the mall he had the audacity to tell us that all the drivers had already left and there wasn't anyone who could pick us up and that he thought we knew we had to uber our way back, HE NEVER TOLD US THAT! My client is almost 6 ft tall which means his wheelchair is much taller than a normal wheelchair making it difficult for him to get transportation such as an uber, which by the way is already very rare to find a wheelchair accessible one nearby, and companies like Access require a 24hr notice. I had to leave my client alone at the mall, which let me remind you he's quadriplegic which means he can't move anything below the shoulders, and take an uber to pick up the van. The gentleman tried to make the excuse that he thought we already knew, I paid $300 (which was going to be $394 until my client spoke to him very angry) and left to go back with my client. When I got back to the mall my client had called his wife so that she could meet him there and he wouldn't be alone for long so we ended up staying a little while longer at the mall when we were getting ready to leave I pressed the button to open the ramp and the ramp did not function! It would come out 1/2 of the way, not enough for my client to get in I had to manually crank it so that my client could get in. We called them immediately and obviously no one answered because they were closed. WE PAID $300 TO BE LEFT AT THE MALL AND HAVE A RAMP THAT DOESN'T WORK! This is UNACCEPTABLE! Worst purchase ever, bought a used van from them. Nothing but problems with the ramp, it always get stuck not working properly placing. Got stuck several times until some one could help me. They would always say the problem was fixed however the issue stayed the same. They would not offer to help me in any way with this issue. I do not recommend buying used and check your warranty limitations before you buy. Ask a lot of questions. New might be a better option. But shop else where if they have better reviews. Bought my first accessible van from them about 2 years ago. The purchase side was a good experience, and the servicing side has been an excellent experience. James, the service manager has gone out of his way to accommodate my busy schedule. His technicians have been able to do the routine maintenance quickly and efficiently, and they've been excellent at finding and adjusting any loose items causing interior noise to help keep our van running smoothly and quietly. The level of friendliness and professionalism is as good as it gets. James goes out of his way to make it a perfect experience, and I can get it all done at the same time. I had my first service on the hand controls they installed back on Dec. 2015. I asked them to include an oil change and tire rotation along with the inspection and adjustments on the controls. They gave me an excellent deal which motivated me to have that work done instead of separately by my mechanic. I had a pleasant interaction with them and their waiting room is really comfortable with gourmet drinks, water, and snack available along with a TV and comfortable furniture. The work was completed on time and I am very pleased. Highly recommended if you need someone to help you get mobile while coping with a disability. read more

Mobility Works has been a life saver for us and what that means is they provide a service that allows me to take my husband to his appointments in comfort and with flexibility. I have tried the other companies where it is a ride share scenario and it is one way in most cases and this just doesnt work for us. SO when I found Mobility Works and started renting a van from them it was a god send. Alicia in rentals is wonderful. She is patient and understanding. Even when I throw her a last minute curve she responds with care. The drivers Yolanda and Mark may only be a team of 2 but they are like an army to me as they are always pleasant and greet me with a smile and provide me with all the necessary information about the van I am renting and making sure it is clean and has gas. If I am running late or need it really early in the am, they go the extra mile. Thank you to all that I have come into contact with there for not taking advantage and gauging us for a service that we can be desperate to have. Until you have ever had a loved one who is wheelchair bound you have no idea what it means to be isolated and not have the ability to even go to McDonalds if you wanted. A company like Mobility Works provides such an essential service to our community and so far as I have experienced only wonderful customer service at reasonable prices. cant speak to any of the other departments but would hope the whole company would provide the same level of service. I am not one to write reviews, but in this case must state how non-responsive the Pasadena branch is. Service Manager James Duss had our van for 6 days and not once initiated call to talk to customer or better yet to give price on repair. If you were lucky enough to get him on the phone he would point finger and or blame to Northern California branch and offer either no information or contradictory story and then say he would call you back when questioned further yet would not follow through. Hand written note and email sent on Saturday to Service Manager James Duss and GM Mark Magnus plus 2 additional staff memebers at branch who know about our van and NO RESPONSE! Oh and the best part if you call to tell them you are picking up vehicle they tell you keys are locked up and they can't get to them, plus when you do get your vehicle it is worse then when you first took it in in addition to the problems that you as the customer originally wanted repair. However what was always pushed was getting a rental from them REALLY?! read more
