Yummy donuts! Always a classic when visiting crossroads, love the rotating options and drinks

I was prepared not to like Mochinut. I mean, it's just a donut, right? Or so I thought. But nooooo...I was MORE than pleasantly surprised by my experience here. First, the ordering process was super easy and efficient. It's all done via a kiosk and then you wait (I waited about 2 minutes) for your order. There's a large staff behind the counter preparing all sorts of mochinutty deliciousness, among other things (like Korean rice hot dogs - which will be next on my list). Before I knew it, my order of three Mochinuts was ready. My plan all along was to enjoy one donut in the store, and save the other two for when I got home. But I was not prepared for the light, sweet, donutty deliciousness that ensued. Before I knew it, I'd jammed all three of those Mochinuts down my piehole. And no, I'm not sorry. My favorite, surprisingly, was the plain one. But the other two were no slouches. Next time, I'm gonna have to get a dozen! read more

This was a pleasant surprise! It had been a while since I had gone to Crossroads mall, so my friend and I decided to go visit the mall. Right when we walked in, we saw Mochinut on the right. This little location is pretty cute! They had two screens that you could order from. One of the screen was pretty life sized, which I found pretty hilarious. I want a TV screen that big! Make sure you double check your final order - we didn't realize until after we got our order that we had clicked the wrong dish! We got the Blackberry cheesecake donut, Chungchun Original Rice Dog, and the Whole Mozzarella Rice Dog. The donut was really good! I thought it looked super cute. The Original Rice Dog was pretty good - I liked how it was piping hot when we got it. The exterior breading was nice and crisp, and the hotdog was nice and juicy. The Whole Mozzarella Rice dog was pretty good too. I would recommend this place if you're wanting a place to snack. It's next to Half price Bookstore, so you can hop on over to peruse the books once you're done. read more

This was definitely a 3.5 star but I'm rounding it up since I'm pretty sure I will be back. They are new so definitely can be faster but it's actually not too bad. You self order on this machine they have and then just wait for your food to come after. I'm pretty sure you can order online as well so you don't have to wait. We got: Sweet potato 1/2 + 1/2 ==== this was my favorite. I love the texture and the flavor Ramen 1/2 + 1/2 ===this was a close second Hot cheetos 1/2 + 1/2 === the texture is not as good and there needs to be more hot cheetos. You defniitely get more of the cheese than the sausage. Price was ok. Each dog also comes with a side of sauce and to be honest, I didn't need the sauce, but I do have to say, their gochuan sauce was off, it's more of like tangy bbq sauce. not my cup of tea. My friends also got their passionfruit lemonade drink and I like it but my friends thought it was too tart for them. read more

Very excited to see this store finally open up in Crossroads after undergoing construction for what seemed like years and years! The store is well-staffed and occupies a great part of the mall with plenty of space to sit down and chat. It brings a great variety to the existing fare inside the food court and for that it gets some brownie points. The food itself is alright -- the donuts aren't super flavorful and they're not as chewy as I would've liked them to be. We didn't get any hot dogs with cheese because we had some other food beforehand already, but sauce is definitely necessary and we enjoyed the potato one over the ramen because we chose a better sauce combination (standard ketchup and mustard vs. gochujang, which tasted more like sweet and sour). Would probably come back for fun but not super impressed. Cute spot though and worth a visit! read more

For what it is, Mochinut is great. I do recommend eating the mochinuts shortly after you purchase them. They get a little chewy a day later - though this is true of regular donuts too. We braved the line - see photo - to try out this new Mochinut location. We tried a dog, a boba drink and six mochinuts. All were good. Another suggestion: be careful biting into your dog - you might bite wood! I almost think it would be better to yank the stick out and eat with a fork and knife [or is that heresy?!!]. The boba drink was great, though the other boba place here in Crossroads has a larger selection of options. As for our mochinuts, we tried most types (Blueberry, Nutella, Raspberry, Vietnamese Coffee, and Caramal Churro). Of these I liked Blueberry best - it had the most flavor. As time passes, the lines will die down and it will be easier to order treats here. read more

Mochinut in Crossroads has finally opened! I was happy to learn that the Bellevue area was getting a Mochinut location, as I've been wanting to try this mochi-donut hybrid since I learned about it and quite honestly, am not big on Dochi. Yet, I'm glad to say that I enjoyed Mochinut more. I didn't know Mochinut was open until I visited Half Price Books earlier this week and saw the line of peeps nearby. What used to be a Starbucks here is now Mochinut; it's located right by the food court entrance and Half Price Books. They're still in their soft opening phase, but you can still get much of their goods here. My friend and I visited Mochinut soon after it opened on a Saturday and there was already a line. You order at the large touchscreen, so your interaction with the staff is minimal. I was interested in getting a drink, but wanted more information about it since the description of the drinks is minimal, so had to ask an employee what a "dirty" coffee was, to which he replied that it was a cold brew that was splashed with cream. Information like this would've been good to know on the touchscreen. I also only wanted one mochinut, and sadly, the minimum that you can order is three. So, I ended up ordering a s'mores, ube pebbles and a mango sour one. They have a total of six flavors, in addition to Korean style hot dogs. The dirty coffee drink wasn't bad, but wished it had a stronger coffee flavor and less cream. I do like that you can customize it to be less sweet, which it was. The mochinut was good though. I liked all three of the flavors I had. The texture was soft with just a slight crispy edge, and was chewy like mochi normally is. I just hope that in the future, I can only order one per visit since lord knows I don't need three. Not sure if this is their way to get people to spend more, but if I just want a little treat, it would be nice to order an individual one. Not too shabby though. read more

I find the donuts too sweet. Also, the spicy sauce that they offer for the Korean rice hot dogs is not spicy at all so that was a disappointing. Not a very healthy snacks so definitely not something you can have very often. read more

The dogs come with 1 free sauce, but in my opinion the ketchup should be free as it's just typical ketchup packets and not even housemade or special ketchup. The garlic cheese sauce is good with hotdog side of the corndog, but with just cheese side it gets to be too much cheesiness. The mochi donuts are alright and good to try once, but other than just sweetness, they're not too flavorful. I prefer their fruity flavors over the others. I got a six pack of the strawberry jam(?), ube, strawberry, mango, smores, and churro. The drink was pretty solid and very convenient in the area. read more

Mochinut in Bellevue has started their soft opening, and it's located in the food court of Crossroads, right next to Half Price books. Ordering was managed by a single touchscreen, and there was a line to order. All the staff, about 8 of them, were diligently churning out donuts and prepping orders. Minimum order of mochi donuts was 3, (choices of 3, 6, or 12) and there were 6 flavors to choose from. Hot dogs were freshly prepared and very crispy, I got a sweet potato with ketchup. This is a general mochinut sadness for me-- I wish I could get a single donut even if it costs more than 1/3 of the 3 donut box. I came during their soft opening second day, and they were fast with the donuts but slow with drinks and hot dogs. That said, the fresh hot dog was extra tasty and I enjoyed it immensely. For the mochinut, I picked this place's pistachio, mango, and ube flavors. I think the ube one was the least exciting tasting, actually. I like the refreshing mango sour to complement the sweet glaze. Pistachio was tasty with a nice texture. They have three other flavors but I can't recall what they were. read more

We had such a great experience at Mochinut! I brought my daughter Maya to pick up donuts for her 7th birthday, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Maya kept changing her mind (as 7-year-olds do!), and Thea was so kind and patient through it all. My son couldn't resist the adorable Halloween designs and had to get his own donuts too! The donuts were delicious, the shop was super cute, and the staff made it such a fun visit. read more

Super disappointed with my visit here for Korean corn dogs. I love the related Chung Chun location in the ID, and was hoping for the same taste and quality here, but no dice. Got two orders of the sweet potato wrapped hotdogs, one with half cheese, with sweet chili sauce and mango habanero. Also got a classic milk tea with boba. Ordering is easy enough with a giant touchscreen, but they don't let you customize the drink beyond toppings, so no editing the type of milk, ice level, or sugar level. When I went there was no line, and it seemed like everyone who came after me was just there for donuts. I ordered, walked to the main food court to get food at another place, checked out another place, then came back. I saw that my drink was on the counter waiting to be paired with the corn dogs, then after a few minutes saw my corn dogs placed into a container by the worker, who then set it down and walked away to make a drink for someone else. He then walked around for a bit, then seemed to take a break and chat with friends in the seating area... all while my food and drink sat there. Eventually the worker came back, put the sauce containers in the tray and gave me my lukewarm food and drink that had been sitting there for way too long. Unfortunately, the poor service and wait wasn't worth the food, nor was the $25 price tag after tip. I think the fry oil may be too hot, because a lot of the sweet potatoes on the outside were blackening and had a burnt flavor, but the inside dough wasn't fully cooked. It was still slightly gooey and left a residue on the hotdog, not like the fluffy inside at Chung Chun in the ID. Another customer came back to complain about the inside of their corn dog being undercooked while I was waiting as well. All in all, this was a really bad experience, which sucks because it's currently the only Korean corn dog in the area. I really hope they fix the issues with the corn dogs, but I'm not coming back for them anytime soon. read more

i've had mochinut a few times but haven't reviewed it before. one donut was $3.85 including tax, which is kind of pricey for one. i do think it was a good amount for two people though. i like that they always have unique flavors and it's a good party food, just so everyone can try different ones. the yuzu lemon wasn't super flavorful, kind of just a tart glaze. i do really like the actual donut, and it has a nice chew, and was quite moist. overall, i would come here every once in a while! read more

This review is based on the donuts only as I haven't tried anything else yet but I can tell you that I'm OBSESSED! The donuts are phenomenal. If you're a fan of raised donuts (the lighter chewier donuts as opposed to the old fashioned style which are heavy and dense) then you will love these donuts. They are chewy, bouncy, fresh tasting, and so darn cute! The flavors change weekly but we've liked everything we've tried, some more than others, but none that we've disliked. The chocolate and the Vietnamese coffee are super good from this week's menu and my daughter loved the raspberry rainbow from last week. They are reasonably priced too and don't contain a ton of sugar so you can indulge more regularly! Yum! read more

Happy to see a Mochinut open in the Crossroads Mall. It's next to Half Price Books. I'm a big fan of mochi donuts- I've tried them all over including Japan's Mr. Donut. For those who aren't familiar with mochi donuts, they're made with mochi flour which makes the texture more chewy and maybe a little more dense than yeasted donuts. The donuts are shaped into a ring of little balls like a baby teething ring and fried. I really like the texture of these guys- soft but slightly chewy and overly sweet. So you order at the touchscreens at the front and pick them up. Got one of each flavor they had for the day - Vietnamese coffee, passion fruit, churro, raspberry rainbow and plain powdered. The Vietnamese coffee was glazed and sprinkled with ground up coffee, the passion fruit was glazed- the flavor was subtle but you you definitely taste the passion fruit flavor. Churro was rolled in cinnamon sugar and the powdered was rolled in find sugar. I liked how the last two were lightly dusted and not drowned in sugar. The raspberry rainbow had a raspberry glazed and topped with brightly colored rice Krispies. This was the mostly sugary of all of them. It was hard to choose which I liked the best ( with the exception of the raspberry rainbow which was too sweet for me). But like I said, the texture was just right. They also offered boba drinks which I didn't get. Unfortunately, the rice dogs weren't available. We came at opening but we're told that they don't start making them til later and they didn't say how later. They should at least have a sign that said the rice dogs aren't available til later. A bunch of people behind us left when they heard that. Bummer! I'm taking off a star for that. Hopefully I'll get to try their rice dogs one day. Until then I'm happy with their mochi donuts. I have had several types of the Korean corn dogs here - the food is 4 stars when you're craving the crunchy salty sweet snack. It is definitely fun to get the half cheese versions with it all fresh and hot. I have had the doughnuts before and I like how it is lighter than a traditional doughnut. It will definitely fill you up. There's something about the ketchup and mustard with the sprinkle of sugar ( sweet and sour) components that makes this a delightful fusion. The most recent time I got the gamsung potato outside. Maybe because it was a thicker batter but the second half batter wasn't fully cooked and I could taste the soft breading underneath. I will say service is inconsistent similar to other reviews. While we are in a food court setting, sometimes the staff will continue to have side conversations even though customers have seen the timers gone off for their food and they are waiting. Unacceptable long line with only one ordering screen at a mall location. One the Saturday after, there is 1 person frying up the dogs, 1 person handles all drink and boxing donuts and 1 person decorating the donuts. The donut parts go pretty quickly as the selections are limited. The dogs however requires assembling from filling, dipping in dough, crusting to frying, which takes time and can use more than 1 person. I highly suggest them to set up additional ordering stations as the line is so long each time. They can also help facilitate the wait by helping with the touch screen and delay the timeout when the the person look through the selection. Overall, taste is ok, wait to too long, service was fair but not friendly. Not worth of my time. read more

A young lady was working behind the counter and as she was taking to her coworker she was dropping f-bombs all over the place. I was ordered at the self checkout so I was right there listening to her but I mean you should watch your language when a customer is 5 feet away from you. Wow way better than expected! Mochinut bellevue is the old starbucks in Xroads mall. I opted for their most popular one, the strawberry. Very tasty and just the right level of sweetness to satisfy a sugar addict. Soft like a krispy kreme's donut but twice as dense and about as chewy as those fried sesame black bean balls at dim sum. Same as other locations. 4/5 Ube milk, 70% sweet, no ice adjustment option, oat milk sub: most disappointing if the items. The boba/pearls were somewhat hard, reminiscent of early bbt days (circa 2000s). Ube flavour was mild. I was beyond thrilled that they opened a location on the Eastside (I'd only been to the SLU one before as I work close by). Now, I don't know if today I was especially topographically challenged but finding the exact location in the Crossroads mall was a pain. Apple Maps somehow was trying to take me in a completely wrong direction. So I ended up wandering in a wiiiiiiiide circle around the mall for 10 minutes before stumbling upon these guys. Hint: find either the food court (you are in the right place) or Joann store (and if so, go straight through it to the food court). The place is relatively new so the staff are still getting the hang of things - hopefully, it gets faster/smoother over time. The donuts are as delicious as always, and the boba tea is decent too (although I still prefer the one at the Don't Yell At Me location in Kirkland). read more

Stopped by on a sunday afternoon. Line was not long at all but services seemed slower as it took 10ish minutes before I got to the register. They have a bug screen where you order & the typical register where you also order. There is only one line for both. You wait for whoever is done ordering first. You can add your number to receive a text when your order is ready. I opted for this but actually never got a text. So that sucked because I left to the store & went back & my donuts had been sitting on the counter. I ordered the churro, funnel cake with raspberry & the Nutella almond. I appreciated the level of sweetness. The nutella & almond was my favorite. Definitely better to eat them warm for best texture. They have s small & cute dinning area & of course the mall has a lot of seating as well. I will be back to try their other menu items. read more

Mochinut exceeded my expectations as someone who isn't a big fan of donuts. The light and fluffy texture, unlike regular dense donuts, won me over. We tried nutella, plain, and caramel flavors, all of which I loved. The cheese dog with mango habanero sauce was a fantastic combo. Ordering through the kiosk was convenient.
