This is quite the bake bakery! We happened upon it when going to a Card Shop next-door and the kids were itching for something delicious. It's just so happens. They had many delicious things! The selection of baked goods was quite extensive! The woman at the counter was very helpful and explained the difference between a few of the different buns to me, and also hooked us up with a ton of Portuguese egg tarts for my wife's birthday. She is both petite and has a voracious appetite for such delicacies! The actual footprint of the shop is rather small and there's not a lot of space to enjoy things inside, but there are plenty of picnic tables just outside where one can enjoy a pineapple bun, and egg tart, a fancy dessert or an entire cake if you feel so inclined. Prices were as expected and with all the different options, this is 100% a place that we're going to be back to. Well played Regents bakery!

A great bakery to try for special occasions! I go here for their bakery because their fruit cakes are so good! The cream is light but sweet, and the breading isn't heavy! There are many options to choose from for their cakes, and they also have other types of bakery. The price is more on the expansive side, however, the cakes are on the higher quality. The service was okay. Nothing extraordinary about it. The ambiance of the shop was nice. It's organized and displays their bakery nicely. There's no indoor seating and they don't offer utensils.

They opened up recently and was excited to check it out. I got a couple of pastries for my kids - cheese and bacon and sponge cake. The sponge cake was good but the cheese one was too greasy. It like eating a mound of fat. The place is brightly lit and clean. The cakes look great. Ranging from $30-50. My coworkers fav is the black forest. When it's not busy, they are friendly but when they are busy, they just rush to get the next customer. I haven't tried the bubble tea yet. It was $5-6 for your classic milk tea. Boba is .75 cents more. Starbucks has competition now!

First time stopping at this location, although I've been to different Regent Bakery stores many times for cakes and boba. I got the Hong Kong milk tea this time, which was flavorful. The shop is bright and open but there are no seating options. Staff is quick

I had the worst boba tea I had in my life from here. I got the lychee milk tea and it tasted like powdered cream with water. The powder wasn't even fully dissolved. I had to trash it right away

Went to get The Cake From Portal. The cake itself was sort of average, it was moreso about the novelty that this was The Cake From Portal.

Love this place- authentic Chinese bakery not overly sweet. I wish this place is everywhere in Seattle like a neighborhood chain

My problem is the sign advertises they are originally from Hokkaido which brought memories back of Hakodate and all the other cities I visited in Japan as well as all the utterly amazing desserts. I couldn't eat desserts for months after returning because it didn't compare to the delicious food I ate there. I anticipated amazing desserts. Instead I was very surprised with how sweet everything tasted. I know it says they're straight from Japan but it makes me wonder if it was created sweeter than what they would create for their Japanese customers. For how expensive it was I found only an upset stomach and questioning my financial choices. One of the workers there was super helpful and enthusiastic. She greeted every customer, offered samples, explained menus - she was a bright sun of energy. Another met a solid middle ground giving recommendations and answering questions genuinely. The third did not want to be there and heavily brooded. I'm not sure if he thought he was being quiet or if he just didn't care as he openly talked to himself about going home soon trying to urge time to move just a little faster. It was ok, not great.

Why does Mercer Island have an abundance of fantastic bakeries?…read more La Fete is a petite pastry / coffee shop that has amazing pastries. The earlier you come the more likely you will get to eat the delicious pastries, but if you come past 11 AM you likely won't find much. Their croissants are always on the menu, but many of their pastries are seasonally available so you have to come back. I haven't tried their sandwiches yet, but those pastries are amazing. The staff here are so nice too! Super tolerant as my indecision took over my brain seeing so many pastries! I think not having anyone behind me helped with that - a rare slow moment - because once the door opened I waved the white flag, asked them to pick me 3 of their favorites and off I went. The only problem with that is I can't recall the names of what I bought. The croissant, easy. The little puffy pastry with big sugar flakes and apricot that was very light? No clue except it was delicious.

They also have small baguette sandwiches that I'd like to try next time. There was tons of traffic on a weekday morning. Great place for catching up with someone.

Chef is gone and now the range of food and wine is drastically diminished. I'd advise on the quality of what remains but we literally got up and left due to the repugnant attitude of the waiter, who identified himself as the manager and was all too happy to see us leave after some unpleasantries were exchanged. I think this restaurant's days remaining in business can be measured in days or weeks, not months. It's sad because the owner obviously put some real creativity and money into the design of the wine bar side of the establishment, but as many restaurateurs have learned the hard way, the nature of the personnel can make or break a business, and this place has gone from one extreme to the other in that regard. I predict this particular manager will put the last nail in the coffin of L'Experience Paris with total certainty.

The bakery wasn't busy with any customers when we arrived, so it seemed like a quick call might have been possible. I appreciate the staff offering a solution once we got there, but a little communication ahead of time really would have made a big difference! In the future, I'll probably skip placing online orders at this location and just order in person instead.
