For newbies: - mochi is rice based. It's chewie, and really has no flavor by itself. As an Asian snack, it's often covered in something sweet or rolled in peanuts, cookies, etc. So it's very understanding why they thought to fry it like a donut and cover it in sweet goodness! - the drinks. There are LOTS of options. Not just boba. They have traditional tapioca pearls and also jelly's. Try them all :) - Ordering. When you walk up, you'll see standing kiosks (iPads on a stick). Touch it and order away! Also pay there too. It'll send the order and they'll begin getting it together. - options. The Mochinut flavors rotate. I would check online or call ahead if you are set on a particular flavor. They will advertise online all their flavors but it's not available like that. They also have mini Korean donuts! I'm giving it a 3 star not because I don't love Mochi Donuts. I do! The donuts are good and if you're going to grab a few for a party, definitely a place to go. It's self service so you order at a iPad/kiosk type thing. I would NOT order a drink. It is way too sweet and there's no way of adjusting. I went for a Yelp Elite event and got a hot dog with ramen crunch on the outside. Overall, it's an interesting concept, but it's a bit heavy. My first time trying mochi donuts and they were amazing. I tried the Nutella churro and the ube. The Nutella churro didn't taste like Nutella at all, but definitely an authentic churro flavor. Way too sweet though. I liked the ube better, but it just tasted like the glazed donut version of a mochi donut. It wasn't as sweet so I liked it much better. I love the chewy texture and the way the donuts are molded to be easily pulled apart and shared. I can't say much for service because you order on iPads and the staff call out your name when your food's ready. That's the peak of the interaction. I wish they had some more tables inside, it wasn't even that busy but everything was full. The chairs are super comfy! The only thing that would keep me from coming back is the price. $3.25 per donut is a lot considering how small they are, especially for someone who just wants to come in and enjoy the donuts rather than taking selfies for the gram. read more

We drove by this place last weekend and saw the line inside - immediately said nope and drove right past. Came today on a rainy Friday around 4pm and the situation was a hundred times better. There was only one group in front of us so we got to the self order kiosk in less than a minute. I was ecstatic to see they offered Korean corn dogs in addition to the mochinuts so had to get me some. I ended up ordering the 3 pack mochinut: raspberry funnel cake, passionfruit, and brown sugar. I had originally wanted to get one of them with creme brulee flavor but they ran out so had to substitute for the brown sugar. In addition, I ordered their hot cheetos corn dog with house sauce and crunchy ramen corn dog with mango habenero sauce. Altogether the total came out to around 24 bucks. The mochinut tasted alright - soft yet chewy at the same time. My favorite out of the three flavors was the passionfruit. Second was the raspberry funnel cake and lastly the brown sugar. If only they didn't run out of creme brulee I'd be a happier man. If you asked me if I'd come back for the mochinuts I'd tell you most likely not. Now the Korean corn dogs are a completely different story. I'd come back in a heartbeat for the corn dogs especially since there aren't many places in the triangle that does Korean corn dog - the big one being Mat Jib inside Hmart. The prices are pretty comparable too. Where this place shines is they have the cheetos and crunchy ramen flavors which aren't available at the Hmart so you have to come here specially for those. The corn dogs were absolutely delicious - as you'd typically expect from Korean corn dogs and their soft sticky mochi-like batter that they use. Coupled with the sauces and that took them to the next level. Keep in mind you'll only be to order the corn dogs after 12pm as noted when you try to order on the kiosk. Overall, great experience here especially with the corn dogs. I will be back certainly for them when the craving hits. It's a maybe for the mochinuts - it'll depend on the flavors if anything catches my interest. read more

Mochinut is worth the hype! The inside is cute but I didn't visit for the ambiance. I wanted the donuts! So we ordered one Ube and one raspberry mochinut. A potato mozzarella Korean corn dog. A coffee Bubble tea and a brown sugar bubble tea! All delicious. I will say that if the mochinut isn't warm and fresh then it's just okay. If you get one that's just been sitting out and is room temperature then you'll really be missing out on all of the goodness! The bubble teas were good but the tapioca balls kept clogging up the straw so that wasn't great. My daughter enjoyed the Korean corn dog. She said it tastes like a French fries. read more

We've been waiting for this opening since last summer!! We first discovered Mochinut up in New Jersey in 2021 and have been craving them since. We love how the flavors change weekly and that they're made to order. The ambiance is fast casual and the staff is super friendly. Ordering from the kiosk makes it time efficient! I ordered the ferrer rocher donut. This is a mochi donut with a topping of light hazelnut chocolate glaze with crushed hazelnuts. The price was approx $3.50. The donut was nice in terms of consistency/texture. However, it would've been better if they were more generous with the sauce/ toppings. It was not necessarily a donut that was very memorable and would make me want to return... maybe the drinks could be better. There is also limited seating (only six seats), and service is impersonal given that you order on a screen. I understand this is opening week and maybe they need some more time to obtain possibly more furniture and more familiarity with this site. read more

The donuts are more fried and crispy than the soft and chewy mochi donuts I'm used to and expected. The flavors were good and the icing was still liquid when they boxed ours up. The Thai tea had a weird after taste and didn't taste like classic Thai tea. Also I saw one of the workers touch their hair with their gloves on and then use the same gloves to handle food. My husband got to stop by when it wasn't super busy. Got some donuts and they were good. The mango and ube were my favorite. The only one we didn't like was the churro one-tasted like nothing. i've had a bad experience with stale mochinuts before, but i dont have to worry about that here because they're constantly putting out fresh ones! i like that these aren't overly sweet or greasy and have unique flavors. the only reason i bumped it down to 4 stars is the boba was average. it was super mushy and i prefer my boba on the chewier side with a rich brown sugar aftertaste. the coffee was strong and not overly sweet, i would get it again without the boba. the coffee was also a little overpriced in my opinion as i can get good vietnamese coffee for way cheaper at other places. i have to admit the packaging is sooo cute though! read more

This was our second time coming here and the service definitely needs to be improved. The first time we came was late Tuesday afternoon and we ordered 3 mochinuts and a matcha boba tea. There were a few people ahead of us and waited 30 minutes, as there was only one person working up front, boxing the donuts and preparing all the drinks. I would not recommend the matcha boba at all, can definitely get better ones at other boba shops in the area. We decided to give this place another try since they released new flavors for easter. We came around 7pm on a wednesday and We ordered 6 mochinuts. it took about 30 minutes, once again because there was only 1 person working in the front who had to make the drinks and box orders all coming in at once. All the donuts were out on the display and ready to be boxed. The person was not prioritizing well and was going out of order in giving people their orders. You can definitely tell this place is not staffed well at all, so i don't recommend coming during busy times like the weekend. Additionally, there is very little seating so lots of people standing around in a small space. The mochinuts were good, but most definitely not worth the wait unfortunately. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The food is good but WAY overpriced. They need to charge half of what they are charging at most. That aside, the service is awful. The people that work there have zero personality and NO customer service skills. My first visit, there were two teenagers working that were on their phones the entire time. The only reason I come back is because my son likes the donuts. I tried going today to surprise my son, walked in and there was one item remaining. We asked about waiting and if they were going to make more, to which this child said she "DIDN'T KNOW." What?!? How? First, I want to talk about the food. The food here is just wow! I got the regular half and half Korean corn dog and it was delicious! The batter was not to thick and it was nice and crispy. The cheese was stringy and the hot dog meat was decent. I like how they have sauces to make it taste better. Most other places that I've seen with Korean corn dogs don't offer sauces. I also got donuts and I got the Churro donut and o.m.g. I was in heaven!!! It was warm and fluffy on the inside and the outside was sweet and had a little bit of cinnamon on it. I tried to original donut and it was nothing special - it just tasted like vanilla and it wasn't that warm (although I did enjoy the Pocky stick they put on top). I tried some of my brothers and it was interesting.. it tasted like blueberry icing and the dolphin gummy made it look so cute and perfect! I also want to point out how cute the donut boxes are. Secondly, I want to talk about the ambiance. It is very calm and quiet inside. The donuts were organized and nicely displayed for you to see. The tables and chairs were clean and fancy.
