First time! We tried everything! Well, almost everything. We tried the ramen rice corn dog and half potato mozzarella corn dog. O M G. These were very tasty and freshly made. They have a variety of condiments that include dipping sauces such as mustard, ranch dressing, ketchup, sweet n sour sauce, bbq sauce, and spicy mayo. We also got an assortment of donuts. This place is okay. Customer service is not great. No friendly faces and prices are kind of crazy. 6$ for a small drink. I requested easy Ice on my brown sugar drink and they said they cannot do that. No bobas in my drink nor did it look like it was supposed to. Mochi donuts are an amazing food. I used to get them all the time when I lived in Hawaii. It was great to see them here now. So, to cut to the chase, they're expensive. $30 for a dozen. I was looking for Korean Fried cheese in San Antonio and saw this place had it. I ordered 2 donuts and a 1/2 cheese 1/2 hotdog. The fried cheese/hotdog was REALLY GOOD! It was perfectly crunchy and has that iconic cheese pull most people associate with it. I'll be going back for that soon! The donuts on the other hand are a different story. I wasn't a fan at all. I lived in SoCal for years and Mochi donuts are everywhere. This just didn't taste good. I got the Thai tea and chocolate drizzle. Since discovering Mochinut, I've been back several times. Eat-in dining doesn't seem to be their priority. I don't find the facility to be necessarily cozy or inviting, so I always take my order to go. The mochinuts are amazing though!! I got the churro and churro taro mochi nuts and they are so delicious. The taro Mochi nut is SO good surprising flavor in the best way but beware the purple dust may stain your fingers. This gave, cute small food truck vibes. They are located in a little strip parking center and no issues finding a spot. I saw some reviews on Yelp and I LOVE doughnuts so I had to try. I got a Christmas vanilla theme and churro doughnuts, ramen, hot Cheetos, and potato rice dog.....oh and a strawberry lemonade drink. I have never had a Korean doughnut before but it reminded me of a mochi dessert. It was good enough to go back for. As for the rice dogs, I wasn't a huge fan because they lacked flavor and they didn't have any house dipping sauces to add that kick. I was honestly very let down by the ramen, because it tasted just like hard over cooked noodles with no seasoning. So that was a no for me, but if I had to choose one the hot Cheetos was the best, and maybe some custom dipping sauces for people like me. Rice dogs come with sausage or cheese or half and half. On a good note I love LOVEd the drink and the cute cute cup they seal with a cute logo cover in house. Glad I went and will go again. As other reviewers have already mentioned, the service here isn't that friendly. I walked in and the store was basically empty, so I already felt kind of awkward. The cashier didn't say anything to me and kind of just stared as I was looking at the menu, and when I asked her what flavors were the best, she kind of just half-heartedly pointed to two flavors and answered in a quiet tone. I already knew that since the store was so empty that the donuts probably weren't going to be that fresh (it was already evening at this point), but I enjoyed the Mochinut a lot in Houston so I wanted to try it here as well. As expected, the donuts were room temperature but they tasted fine. They are pretty expensive though, at like $3 a donut. I'm not sure if I'll be back at this location just because it didn't seem that inviting, but I think mochi donuts are still delicious and worth trying if you haven't yet! They're even better fresh, so maybe the morning is a better time to visit assuming they make them fresh in the mornings. read more

I live in stone oak but drive a couple times a week to go to the mochinut all the way out on de zavala just to get corndogs. please go to de zavala locatjon and try their corndogs so you know how to properally make it! i would love a closer mochinut trip read more

My daughter and I went to this place today. The hotdog was acceptable. The bun fell apart as soon as I tried to pick it up. The noise level was astoundingly high. We have actually visited both locations. Both times, the food was awesome and fresh. The donuts are very unique! Not like the usual American style donut. These are Japanese inspired donuts with a different look and texture. The corn dogs are Korean inspired and fun to try! Unfortunately, both times we have gone, the location has been out of various things. However, we do not hold this against them as we took it as a sign that if we really want to try something, better to go early than later. Check their social media for flavors of the week. This business has quite a few items under $5, but has a $5 minimum for cards. They also refuse to make proper change for cash. So you either spend over their minimum or you're shortchanged/refused service. Either they need to get proper change, lower their minimum payment for cards, or simply do what they're trying to avoid with this: raise their prices. Clearly, the point of this ridiculous behavior is to pass on costs to customers with them knowing it. I'd much rather pay $5 than be told it's $3, but then have it switched on me. read more
