She's learned and knows exactly what I want, and the ONE (1) time in all these years my nails chipped/broke, she welcomed me in and fixed it free of charge. Not only do I love Julie, but I love every person who works there. They treat me and their customers so well. Always taking care of me and my family when they come in. Accommodating my schedule when needed. Making sure I'm always as comfortable and satisfied as possible. It's clear they care about me as a customer and as a person. I have been going to MOD Nails since I moved back to L.A. in 2017. First off let's talk about the location. In the heart of Studio City there are plenty of places to grab a coffee or snack before you head over to get your nails done. And if you don't have time, Simone (love her) or one of the other amazing receptionists will ask if you want wine, hot chocolate, etc. So you have that going for you :-) Now let's talk pedicure. Everybody is good here. Mainly because everybody not only knows what they are doing but the place is clean--I mean spotless. None of this chop shop horror show. You get the best. The main reason I go to Mod however is because of the beautiful Hannah. Hannah is thee best. She can literally do anything. I have extra long nails and sometimes I want stiletto, sometimes I want tapered square. Sometimes I want gelx and sometimes I want acrylic. Hannah is amazing because she will tell you what will look good but regardless if you want it, you will get it. If you don't know what you want she will come up with one of her incredible designs. By the way, when you go, look at her nails---they're her signature. I usually say, just do that on me lol I love Hannah and everyone that works at Mod Nails. Her husband is amazing and does acupuncture. This place never fails. They are always consistent. Always fun to go. And the salon is gorg. Dirty af. Nail dust everywhere. Generally crusty. Took them 25 minutes to remove gel pedicure. Just put on the remover and left me. Had to glad someone down to get it off. I went there instead of the superior place next door bc they told me they could see me right away, clearly they did not have the staff. At this point I said I just wanted to polish removed and to leave. Didn't even do that well. And they charged my Amex and then told me they didn't take Amex. Made me pay with another card. Neither charge has been reversed... so I've paid twice for terrible service. Love when what was meant to be a relaxing experience becomes stressful. Needless to say I'll never be back. read more
