PROS: The first time I went in mod pizza I was greeted with warm smiles and greetings. I ordered my pizza and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not usually into thin crust, I'm Personally a Thick crusted girl. But I enjoyed the pizza. It was great! The pizza came out almost perfect and I love being able to pick my toppings. The food is filling and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Marion berry lemonade and the regular they taste like real lemonade. The atmosphere is great! Rock music playing while you sit in your comfy chairs. I love it! To be honest feels like a slice of Portland cafes. Which is a good thing I love Portland. The decor was hip and looked like they knew what they were doing. I like how they have a sign that says battle ground with trees in the background. AND OMG they have outdoor seating for days when it's nice out! Has a string of outdoor lights! It's so nice and I could sit there for ever enjoying my friends company. CONS: second time I came back the employees gave me an additude when I asked for extra cheese. I felt like I was being a bother to them. The lady who was cutting my pie (different gal) rolled her eyes at me when I asked for buffalo sauce...what happened to the warm atmosphere? I placed an online order with the intention of picking it up when it was ready and heading back. Instead I got into the store and by the time someone gave me the opportunity to check on it, I was told it just went in, 10 minutes after it was supposed to be done and ~30 minutes after the order was placed. I had to leave without my order to return in time for a meeting. Fantastic use of my entire lunch to drive to/from and not get food. read more

I've heard a lot about Mod pizza, and now have tried it for the first time. It's an interesting concept for make your own pizza in a to go like manner. First, the atmosphere is actually pretty cool, and clean. The hardest thing is the fact that you see so many employees with no hair nets and just gloves running around touching everything. It appeared to be some sort of organized Kaos. The long line was off-putting and then absolutely no attention to detail when you were being helped. Nonetheless, if they are busy, should be good right? The food... Well, first of all, my pizza and my 4 other friends as well were not fully cooked. I get that you make your own pizza and choose your ingredients, but when you say pepperoni and they put 4 slices total on your pizza, it's a little odd. I would not say that they use the best quality of ingredients either. Summary... There is a lot of hype about this place and the concept, but they have some kinks to work out or the fad will die. Everyone was nice, but it was not genuine as they were so busy. I'd say try to get it out of your system, but there are much better pizza places for the price. read more

Well this will be the first and last time we order from this place. I understand it's a Saturday evening and the dinner rush was in full swing, but my husband and I ordered online to save everyone some time. He went in to pick up the food a few minutes before the scheduled time and was given a drink while he waited, AFTER giving his name and order info. Well he waited. And waited. And waited. Watched pickup time come and go, as well as about 15 customers with their food. He was literally standing off to the side of the pickup area, in full view of all the employees. Not one person asked if he needed help or if there was some sort of hold up. At over 40 minutes past our order time and half hour after pickup time, he asks the pickup clerk about his order. Turns out it was sitting there THE ENTIRE TIME, yet no one called his name nor asked what the hold up was? You just let a paying customer WHO'D ALREADY TIPPED ONLINE stand there for half an hour without saying one word to them!!! So we got to bring home the salad I'd ordered, which was fine because it's a freakin salad, but the pizza was hard and stone cold. He expressed his frustration and was just told, "sorry about that man." The very LEAST you could have done was offer to remake his pizza. Come on guys. Get it together. You can do better than that! This is now going to be the reason why we will NEVER pre-tip a place ever again. read more

I had some trouble with my order BUT Andy, the manager, not only corrected the mistake but showed compassion for my specific situation. She expressed MOD pizzas business model of investment/commitment in helping the community. I have been a big fan of MOD for the quality of food and many options for my whole family but the way ANDY represented the business, makes me want to continue to support them. I just got back from having lunch at the new Battle Ground location of Mod Pizza. I have heard a lot of great things about this place so I was excited to try it. The place was clean and the employees were helpful and I really wanted to enjoy it but there was something REALLY WRONG. While I was trying to enjoy my lunch there was an employee who was roaming from table to table cleaning and sweeping the whole hour I was there. Normally it would be no big deal only, this employee smelled so bad that I couldn't even taste my lunch. His BO was hovering all around the room and as he lumbered around it would send his sickening BO scent floating around the room. Gag I am not trying to be mean at all. This is a restaurant and people spend their money to enjoy some good pizza. This employee MUST be told that he needs to clean up his act. Oh please fix it. We had a recent visit to the Battle Ground location, after over a year. It has really changed. The crust was as crispy as a saltine cracker -- not soft and chewy as it used to be. And, they really pile on the toppings, so much so that they are mounded on the pizza. Maybe that pile is the reason they are cooked so long and the crust goes to crisp? One worker was rather proud to explain that they cook them at 500 degrees. That could be part of the issue too, as I would think they would be cooked at higher temps, more like Neapolitan or New York pizza ovens? But, what do I know? I bought an Ooni oven, so it is a very rare occasion that we go out for pizza and certainly won't go back to the Battle Ground location. read more

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT come here. This is the slowest MOD I've ever been to. They lost so many pizzas in the time that I was here. My friend and I ordered at the same time and they ended up waiting 30 minutes longer than I did for my pizza, and I waited probably close to 30 minutes for mine. What a joke. So many people waiting around for 40+ minutes waiting for their food. Would not recommend, would not return EVER. Also the employees are quite rude. My husband and I went to MOD in Battle Ground for a date night after a long day. We walked right up and Micah (for the record, he needs a raise!) started chatting away. He asked how we were doing and, as we built our pizzas, he kept asking about our day and complimenting our choices. We about asked him to sit down and talk with us while we ate! We were thrilled to have MOD in our community. In person they were great for service and efficient. No errors in orders and completed timely. We began to use the app in March 2019 and loved the ease of use and the ability to save specific orders under names we give. When the order was placed through the app the completed time was provided at the top of the order. We would arrive to pick up the order at the time documented time of completion and sure enough the order was completed! Loved the efficiency. It was our primary source for ordering. Since April of last year we have had at least six orders placed which were not completed by the time stated on the app. Nor were theses orders completed fifteen minutes after the app posted completed time, but twenty. The most recent order was placed and at the designated completed time we checked on the order and it was not completed and they told us to check back in ten minutes. At twelve minutes we go back inside to pick up the single pizza and we're told they gave it away to someone else and to come back because they were going to remake it! Ordering through the app is no longer efficient or timely and the orders ARE NOT completed when stated through the app. Unfortunate for this location of MOD the delay in the order completion is thrillingly disappointing. We will use this location only if we don't mind picking up an order at least forty minutes after the order was placed through the app. Outside of the six lengthy orders and specifically the recent order mentioned above a majority of the other orders were between five and ten minutes over the app documented completed time. We don't mind giving businesses our patience but when so many other restaurants are able to complete a digital order by a documented time it is proof an order can be completed when an app states it will be ready for pick up. read more

Pizza is delish, and I love the concept. However a manager at the BG location, Corey, is completely unprofessional. I have only been there twice, and both times he was more interested in showing off by insulting staff than providing good customer service. As a business owner and 26 year healthcare professional prior to that, I was disgusted by his behavior. I also know a couple of the line employees there, and have heard very egregious information about his behavior and that of the "captains." I don't understand how a company can allow such behavior to continue. I will never visit this location again. read more

The two times I have been at this location they were not sanitary at all. I used to work at subway and we would change our gloves for everything. First time the guy making my pizza picked up the phone to take an order and proceeded to make my pizza with the now dirty gloves. The second time the guy took his cell phone out of his pocket checked something really quick, put it back and kept making my pizza. Shocked and grossed out both times. Burnt pizza. Also took forever to checkout and it was slow. The staff doesn't manage their time well. Most of the time you see them making pizzas and a line starts at the register. Then one may go and run the register for ONE customer then go back to making pizzas. Honestly a you don't need two people to make pizzas when there's a long line of hungry customers waiting to pay. Every time I eat here the food is usually good - tonight however one of the girls making the pizzas (short with brown hair and an orange bandana) asked me sauce and I said yes red and white - she started halving them on two sides and I said she didn't need to split them - she proceeded to heavily sigh like she was having a rough day and pretty much threw the pan at the next guy in line to finish it ...really weird and off putting...I'll also add that every time I order online and pickup the pizza has been missing at least 2 ingredients... read more

We decided to get togegher with family and friends for my daughters 17th bday at Mod Pizza in BG and were definitely not dissapointed! The staff was nothing but accomodating to our large group of 12. We sat out on the patio and really enjoyed our time. The staff was not only friendly but went above and beyond, even asked if I had a candle for my cupcakes, and I had forgotten, she brought one out to me. :-) also took a pic of our party for us as well. It's like the subway of pizzas :-) You choose all your favorite toppings and don't pay any extra. The staff was very friendly and fast. The only down side was there was quite a long line but that's to be expected for good food and a new location. I will definitely be going back and I will recommend it to others. read more

I'm new to MOD pizza and so far I'm starting to enjoy it very much! On Sunday the 25th I stoped by and right off the bat something was off. The whole MOD Vibe I know and am used too was gone! The there was not a lot of talking going in between me and the pizza gal which made it kinda awkward also seems like there was some tension between the employees. I live in battle ground and work at the Portland Airport. I had a friend run me lunch from mod pizza as it's one of my five places. She got me the pizza and dropped it off and i clumsily dropped it and watched it fall to the ground in slow motion. I luckily saved one piece from falling. It was the best piece of pizza ever and I knew I had to go back and buy another after work. When I got there I was met with excellent customer service and even a complimentary pizza. Let me start by saying that we are MOD lovers. Every other location has this down to a science- except Battle Ground. The store, itself, is probably the best one in the Vancouver/PDX area. However, it didn't feel like the normal MOD environment. We were greeted but not the anticipated boisterous MOD welcome we are used to. The employees were friendly but very slow. Our pizza was fine but that was it. Just fine. Crust wasn't crispy, not enough toppings, tasted boring and unlike the normal flavor explosion we are accustomed to. We are chalking it up to this being a new location and hoping they get in line with the other locations. We would really like to make this BG location our go-to. read more
