Kind, attentive service on a Monday evening. Ordered a vegetarian pizza and it was loaded. Fresh veggies and the server told me they used a sourdough crust when I asked. Piehole is a pretty decent pizza place. I've had it a few times and enjoyed it. Their double pepperoni is interesting and pretty solid. However, there are two other pizza spots very close by that have outshined Piehole in my honest opinion. Definitely give this place a try though. It might be your type of pizza. read more

I ordered a 6 inch Mediterranean pizza through door dash. I was charged $27.60 (there was no delivery fee). I received a COLD Margarita pizza. I am so disappointed. I have ordered pizza from The Piehole many times and have always been satisfied. To receive an incorrect order (not the delivery person's fault), have it delivered ice cold, and to be raked over the coals for $27.60 for a 6 inch pie.... The pizza options were plentiful and pricing was reasonable; however, the taste of the breadsticks were disappointing (especially with no marina dipping sauce that was said to be included) & the pepperoni pizza section had burnt areas that was hard to eat around. I wish I had taken a picture but I didn't. We had a half Hawaiian pizza and half meatball pizza. It was delicious. Heavily loaded with meat and cheese I have to say that the crust was spectacular. They make a sour dough crust everyday. We brought home half of our pizza and I heated it up two days later. It heated up perfectly. Our server was excellent. Update review on 6/19/23: We recently tried the Angry Peno pizza. It was good but I think I still prefer All the Meat. Old review: Oh my gosh, I absolutely love this pizza place in Vancouver. My husband and I stop there almost weekly ever since we discovered this place. Our favorite pizza is All the Meat. Their crust was made perfectly with just the right thickness. The crust has the right amount of char and is very crunchy. You would not believe how much meat they add to the pizza. Unlike most pizza restaurants, they place the meat all the way to the edge of the crust. The meat quality is supreme. Although we have tried couple other versions of their pizza, All the Meat is still our favorite! read more

This was our first time eating at the pie hole pizzeria. We hold a pretty high standard regarding Pizza, and this pizzeria did not disappoint. We ordered the angry Peno, which was essentially pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, and pineapple and jalapeño with mozzarella. The pizza was overflowing with toppings, and the combination worked well together. Typically we don't have pineapple on our pizza unless it's Canadian bacon, but it worked with this particular Angry Peno pizza. I Would have loved a crispier bottom to hold the toppings better but all in all it was a delicious pizza. This could be our new spot in Vancouver. We did take out but the vibe in the restaurant seeemed pretty chilled. Amd the service was excellent. It's not a large environment but big enough for small friend and family gatherings. What a great pizza place! We wanted a place that was good for hanging out and talking in. This was absolutely it! Our server Krystile was fantastic! She was there to get out drink order in fast and got our food order perfect as well. We ordered a large All About the Meat pizza. The flavors were balanced beautifully! There was just enough of each of the meats to compliment each other and the cheese blend was tasty too. The pizza was cooked to a perfect golden brown. The highlight of our order. was their delicious gluten free crust. They offer gluten free and dairy free options for each of their pizzas. The dining experience here left much to be desired. The basic and little character interior was not welcoming. The service was very slow, none of our drinks were made correctly, and the tables weren't clean. Echoing sentiments of other reviewers, I think I've found my favorite Couve' pizzeria. Nice selection of topping combos and no skimping on the toppings. Dough was sourdough base, not thin but not overly thick. More importantly (too me anyways), toppings extended to the pizza's edge. We ordered the All about the meat combo.....pretty basic meat pizza with sausage, pepperoni, salami, canadian bacon, and possibly other meats as it was pretty crammed. The 12" pie can comfortably feed 2 or 3. The large 16" would probably feed 3 to 5. Prices were comparable to other pizza places so it's quality that rates it 5 stars. Ambiance was standard simple sportsbar with a few flat screens showing ESPN. Some tables on the sidewalk outside too. 2nd time customer. First experience was ok, today was awful. Ordered a 12" half veggie, half pepperoni thru Grub Hub. 26.40 before fees and tip. Asked for napkins and utensils, received none. Asked for less than usual amount of peppers and onions, pie was loaded with these. The crust is very hard on the bottom but doesn't taste done in the center, and is really dense. Veggie half had onion, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, bell pepper, olive, and I added artichokes. Pepperoni was very spicy. Nothing special about either. This takes first place for the greasiest pizza I've ever had in my life. The cheese tastes like "cheese product", and had a strange texture and little flavor. My order was late and completely cold. Not sure if that's the restaurant or driver or both (I'm within 2 miles). I'll take a pass on this restaurant in the future. Really disappointed and feeling ripped off. read more

Still stand behind the fact that this is the best pizza downtown vancouver AND the best prices. My one complaint/why it's not 5 stars for me is the overall vibe if you are dinning in. It feels like a makeshift restaurant with just a few random things thrown together. I want people to so badly choose here over The Hungry Sasquatch, but fear the foot traffic will choose the latter every time based off of looks. I think some easy fixes would be paint the walls black, turn the lights down, get some more fun neon signs and frame up the TV and bar area better. We will for sure be back, but will probably skip dinning in until some decor changes and atmosphere changes take place. read more

We had a less than stellar experience at the PieHole recently. Celebrating a birthday several of us decided pizza was in order. I suggest we go the PieHole as the two times we ate there previously the pies were great. Something has changed. I was so disappointed and sure were my friends. I got comments like, I'm not allowed to recommend restaurants anymore and similar ribbing. The pies were sloppily made and undercooked. Service sucked too. I don't know what happened but for me pizza is a rare treat and I'm not going to risk being disappointed that badly again.
