Finally, a Mod in our area! We've loved other locations and have been hoping that this one will have the same level of excellence. We went today and it exceeded our hopes! Mod uses great quality ingredients and, along with normal toppings, has some creative ones as well. (Fig balsamic glaze?) You can go with one of many of their own creations, or customize your own. Your pizza is built in front of you then baked in a wood fired oven. Standard size, any toppings, costs under $8 and is enough for a hungry big guy. Good value. Brad & Rick really care about things being done well. The staff is very well trained: friendly, fun, and hard working. (Thanks Brent for taking such good care of us!) We love this place! I love the brick oven cooking method, versus the typical conveyer-belt style of their competitors. So many great toppings, and the price is really good. The create your own pizza restaurants are really a trend right now and I wasn't too impressed with Pie Five so I decided to give Mod a try after hearing my friends talk about how they loved it. It's actually cool little place, pretty small inside. The line was huge and we probably had to wait in line for 10-15 minutes, and then wait some more for them to cook our pizza, so if you're looking for food that's fast this probably isn't your place! They had a ton of toppings and endless possibilities. I ended up getting a mini pizza and mini salad and the blackberry lemonade. The salad was great and the lemonade was awesome too. I regret getting the mini pizza because the crust didn't look the same as the regular. My crust was a bit chewy, almost like it was gluten free. Over all, it was a good experience, all of the employees were very nice and the food was pretty good and decently priced! read more

asked for fresh ground beef not the nasty old looking bottom of the pit with chunks of pork in it stuff so she pulls out the new stuff and gives me the old still, almost walked out and should have after that, now left here fishing pork out of my pizza. she seemed like a total B as well. and several times i have driven by before closing and witnessed them spraying all the food with their glass cleaners and have drove passed and ate elsewhere. use to come a ton. don't think i will ever return here read more

Cooked in an old fashioned pizza oven with their unique bread (that resembles flatbread more than traditional pizza crust) gives the pizza an awesome flavor. Lots of unique bottled drinks & brewed teas to choose from. As someone with high dietary restrictions due to food allergies, I never thought I would find a place that I could have pizza again. Simply put this is the best pizza place I've probably ever been to. I'd equate this to a subway for pizza but subway doesn't make good enough subs to compare. This is Minsky's pizza on steroids. There is a perfect modern aesthetic with comfortable seating and a great atmosphere. The service I received was superb and they explained how the process worked perfectly. The price is impossible to beat I paid 12 dollars for a moderate sized pizza and a 16oz drink of some of the best lemonade I've tasted in my life. A magnificent choice for any occasion, whether you're on a date or simply going out with friends I cannot recommend enough. If the was an option I would give it 6 stars. read more

Love this place! The pizza is fabulous! Tons of toppings to choose from and they have three base sauces (tomato, pesto and Alfredo sauce) to build your pizza. I have actually been there two days in a row because you can get something completely different each time. They also have an incredible balsamic fig sauce you can finish off your pizza with after it comes out of the wood fire oven. Love this place!! Loved loved all the ingredients to choose from! My only complaint is the crust! Too hard and way to crisp! Ended up just picking all the.toppings off! With ALL the various toppings why do not they have more options for crust? Next time I will order my pizza under done so I can enjoy the whole thing! Next time I will order the aragula and gonzolla to be added after my pizza comes out of the oven! The flavors just disappeared. I like to take a combo basis like the tristian and add extra toppings. I actually planned on driving to Pinsa Pizza in Lees Summit from Grain Valley. My wife told me that Mod Pizza in Blue Springs (5 minutes from home) is the same setup as Pinsa, so I should try them. To save time we called in the order for 4 pizzas at 6:35pm and was told they would be ready by 7pm. Drove to Mod Pizza and arrived at 8 minutes to 7 and paid for the pizzas. Admittedly the place was packed with a long line of ppl, so I expected a little delay. @7:10 I asked how much longer the pizzas would take and was told 10 more minutes & was offered a free soda while I waited. @7:20 I asked again how my pizzas were doing and was told another 5 minutes, it should be noted here that by this time the long line had thinned to 2 ppl and now a new line of ppl was forming. One of the staff offered to refund my money, but I declined to accept and told them that I understood they were busy. @7:30 I asked again about my pizzas and was told they are coming now. I finally got the pizzas @7:35 along with coupons for 2 free pizzas and I left. Once home we discovered that 2 of the pizzas were not what we ordered! Sadly, I am not able to rate this experience any more than a 1 star and don:t ever plan on stepping foot in this place again. read more

Me and my son visted Pepper Jacks, a couple weeks ago.I was pleased there was a brand new pizza place going in right across the street. Blue Springs is flooded with pizza places. Was exicted to see somewhere new. My son and I went in the late afternoon about 4. I am not a expert on pizza. I just know what I like. I very stradgetically plan my pizza went with the tristian. All veggies abd then built my own extras. I had everything written down.You have alot of choosing to do. Sauce, cheese, veggies, meat and a glaze for thr final topping. They 30 options. I wrote everything down.forgot greens too. I chose arugula. Next time I will order it after pizza comes out ordered the 11' cut in 8 small pieces. 2 problems it was not really hot.pet peeve was not sliced all the way thru. I hate that.pull 1 piece and ended up sliding almost all the stuff off the 2nd piece.Only 1 type of crust. Thin and too crusty for me.All in all I sorta liked it. Will go back. No alochol yet not til the 5th. read more
