This past weekend my boyfriend and I were looking for a quick bite so we decided to stop by MOD because we love Blaze. To our surprise, MOD was just as good as Blaze, if not better!!! The only reason for my lower review is that their cauliflower crust, which is generally expected to be a lower carb option (although they don't state that), is NOT. The fast-casual, custom pizza scene is heating up. MOD is similar to places like Blaze or Pieology. But as far as these places go, MOD was pretty good. PROS: _Decent variety of toppings (definitely have all the basics covered, though I'd love to see more interesting/exotic options) _No fee for extra toppings, you can add extra ricotta without adding cost _Thin and thick crust options, also a "mini" pizza option if you want pizza but lack self control _Flavored iced tea and lemonade choices CONS: _As above, lack of more rare toppings (eggplant, banana peppers, etc.) _I think this is a trade-off of unlimited toppings, but topping quality is "meh" (this goes for pizzas and salads) _Customer service; staff seems to rush you through the process (I get that fast is their thing, but I don't think impatience is an intended part of the brand) I would totally go back when I'm looking for a quick lunch, especially when I know exactly what I want on my pizza and my husband disagrees. Our plan was to get some dinner prior to seeing Groot 2. That way we won't be hungry for popcorn. Well that plan failed; we still got popcorn. Not that we didn't get our fill of MOD. Anyway, I don't know how the employees see everyone coming in but we all get a hearty HELLO upon entering. It's a really good idea to know what you want before lining up as being indecisive delays everyone. We were 6 in our group and we each got the Mega size. That is a double crust sandwiched together with cheese and sauce in between. We each had pesto drizzle. It's s nice touch but we wanted more pesto. One of us had the Mad Dog, which has sausage, and ground beef. We added mushroom, whole garlic cloves and additional cheeses. We enjoyed it and got full after two slices. Another one of us ordered the Jasper which has sausage and mushroom. He added bacon. The other party ordered her own creation. Not sure exactly what was on this, but when we got it, we thought everything was on it... corn, chicken, you name it, it was on it. We all enjoyed our orders and took the liberty of trying each other's custom pizza. Some options for drinks include a few different lemonades, Boylan soda, and the usual fountain drinks and some beer. For the 3 Mega size pizzas and 2 fountain drinks, the damage was only $50. Not bad considering we spend upwards of $100 or more for a similar size party. Outdoor seating is available. I don't have photos as we have been confiscating phones during mealtime to encourage conversation. Check it out but have a plan about what to get before lining up. I came in to order first of all the guy taking my order was slow didn't even know what was going on. Then after I pay waited 35 minutes til I asked how much longer. There were only one other person in there and theses people lost my order. I asked where did it go they looked around lost saying that they don't know. In the midst of the holiday season, sometimes it's hard to get your food right away. Every time I come here I don't usually wait long. And even if I have to the variety of choices on the menu distracts me. I was familiar with the concept and decided to go with the create your own pizza. I went with half red and half white sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, chicken, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Pizza came out quick but I was so disappointed when I saw my pizza. I felt that it could had been cooked longer. My mushrooms were still raw, and I was so underwhelmed when I took my first bite. The crust was also very thin. I've been to Blaze and Pieology, and I much prefer going there instead. Also wished there were more variety in toppings as well. But a very affordable option if you just want OK pizza. read more

Besides the food being good, the staff here gives incredible customer service. Once when we came here with a group of people, they had a problem ringing up our order. It wasn't that big deal but, without me even asking, the girl behind the counter used her employee card to ring up our order and it gave us a 50% off! When I asked what that was for, she said it was for the wait and trouble! Today, when we grabbed a late lunch, we were greeted as we walked in by Jeremy. Great experience at the Serramonte Shopping mall greeted at the door by staff upon entry within a minute wait although not very busy Rizz stepped up to take our order and I can say that she was on top of her prep work and done with two orders within a 3-4 min.time. We used to go to Blaze at Stonestown for our DIY pizza fix, except it was always crowded and noisy. Decided to check out MOD, and what a difference! I love how crispy and not greasy their pizza is, and the wider range of toppings they have. My favourites include roasted garlic cloves, roasted asparagus and most recently their balsamic fig glaze. I went with my wife on a Sunday afternoon and upon entering the restaurant i was trying to figure out how to order and was a little confusing with the menu. I ordered a 11" customized pizza and a order of pizza sticks which they made out the wrong ingredients on the dough twice. Paying at the register was also slightly confusing as I wasn't sure if I was supposed to give them my name or ?? I had to tell the cashier what I had ordered instead of them having a system of keeping track of customer orders. Visiting the restaurant you are presented with a huge menu outlining the pizzas, salads, drinks and dessert options. What great about MOD, you can customize any order, add or remove toppings and have a pizza made any way you like. Want less onion and more olives, no problem. This is a meat lovers paradise. Want double sausage or linguica, you can have it all for the same price. $9 for a 11" thin crust pizza that includes whatever toppings you want is a great deal. No skimping or missing out on a favorite here. We ordered a Cesar salad too. They offered chicken, but we declined. I added artichoke hearts and asiago cheese. The Cesar dressing was pretty good and the croutons were crunchy. My only complaint and where they lose one star. The beer selection was just ok. I came for a beer. They have a few, Fat Tire and Red Barrel were the only ones I recognized. The others might be good but was hoping for an Anchor Steam with my meal. I did ask if other beers were ever offered. To their credit, they said they might change. We carried the salad and plates to our table. The pizzas came out of the oven in literally 5 mins. Cooked perfectly. Fresh, fresh, fresh.
