I tried MOD Pizza out of curiosity. I made my own combo: mega-size [thick] crust, tomato sauce, mozzarella, asiago, & green peppers. Mmm, it was delicious. I also got cheesy garlic bread. It was so good, I ordered one to take home! The staff was super-friendly & helpful. I felt valued as a customer. I left with a smile on my face. Can't wait until the pumpkin cakes come in! We have always had a great experience here. It's not your traditional pizza but a thin crust variation! Love MOD Pizza! My husband always gets the Mad Dog. I like to create my own pizza - white pizza using a bit of olive oil on the dough, mozzerella cheese, Asiago cheese, pepperoni, a bit of onion and arugula. This was our first time at this Hanover location. Place was on the end of a mini strip shopping area. Be aware when parking that the Starbucks drive through goes around the building, so cars can be whipping around the lot on their way to a caffeine fix. There is an outside patio here at MOD which would be nice in warmer weather. Pizza makers were quick and efficient. There were tables roped off to enforce social distancing. My hubs and I enjoyed our pizzas, they were nicely made and not over cooked. It's not a NY style pizza, of course tastes like a fast casual pizza-which is what makes this MOD. read more

Terrible pizza!! The employees were nice and the food was ready on time but it was probably the worst pizza I've ever had. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Disclaimer though - I'm from NJ so my pizza expectations are higher I guess. Not sure if any other PA pizza places are any better. read more

Mod I think stands for make on demand. In any case that's how we interpreted it! I picked a traditional margherita pizza but with sliced tomatoes on it and it was delicious. My husband picked a regular pizza and enjoyed it although the crust was a little too thin for his likes. It is not very inexpensive to get a custom-made Pizza although the service was good and the selection was excellent. I thought prices were moderate. I was very impressed in particular with the beverage selections from the fountain. All kinds of Iced Teas which I love! Our servers were very friendly. I like the decor of this place, too. I cannot believe the affordable price, no matter how many toppings, same price. i got the 11" MOD pizza , $9.87. Huge! Enough for next day's lunch. There were traditional toppings, & then artichokes, roasted brocolli, roasted red peppers, all kinds of different veggies. and meats galore! I don't understand those who say it took long, we made our pizza, paid, got our drinks, found a table & they were calling our name 'cuz our pizza was done! And the teas! Oh my! I work in Hanover, and there aren't too many quick options for lunch that don't get old or boring after a while. I love that MOD has seasonal salads to keep things fresh and interesting. They recently started serving cauliflower crust too, which is great!! They can't claim "gluten free," but they are "gluten-friendly." Just be sure to ask for a glove change, as in my experience they won't know to do it unless you ask. When you do, they completely respect and are attentive to your allergies or sensitivity though! My favorite is the salad pizza. They are technically served separately, so you have to assemble to salad on top of the crust, but it's delicious and a healthy, filling way to get a quick pizza fix. Service here is always quick and timely if you're on a lunch hour! read more

I've never visited a MOD Pizza location, but options are slim for vegan folks in this area so while I was traveling I stopped for lunch. You have the option of two sizes of pizza (mini and regular) and no matter the toppings the price is always the same which I like. I ordered lots of veggies with vegan cheese and my order was ready in about 15 minutes. I noticed they don't have the oven space for many pizzas at once, so I would expect a wait if it looks busy. Fountain drink selections were great with several ice teas and lemonade (which was really yummy). Pizza style is thin and crispy as per the brick oven style and was enjoyable. This place sucks. we were pretty much the only people in there but we waited 12 minutes before we even ordered because a worker was holding up everyone by making a pizza for himself. other workers were taking about tattoos and black ops. another worker was walking around hitting vape around the store. and then as we left, the same worker who held up the line was making out with a customer behind the dumpster. pizzas is 10/10. workers is 1/10. read more

Despite my previous review, I eventually found myself being dragged back to this Mod Pizza location by my peers. I am glad they did. The long and short is that I believe that my first visit was due to varying issues between having a new team for the new location, maybe a lack of understanding of handling the ingredients, but more recently upon going to this location I had a very surprisingly good visit. The wait time was appropriate (under 10 minutes) and my pizza tasted pretty good. While it is not my preferred pizza place to eat at, I was quite pleased this time around. read more

My wife and I went for their soft opening today and it was beyond crazy how busy today. Knowing that this was the first day open and how busy it was we expected there to be issues understandably...well to our surprise it ran like a well oiled machine and our Pizza's was perfect and staff was relaxed and friendly, not stressed out at all like we expected it might be. Like another reviewer, I wanted to like this place but they made it hard. I walked in around 12:20 PM on Friday, which was my mistake. There were already probably 10 people in line, but I still went in because I saw the phrase "super fast" on the window. So I waited in line for about 10 minutes until I finally reach the counter where I can place my order. I got one of the classic pizzas, so no customizations. It took about three minutes for them to assemble the pizza, which is fine, because it does take time to do that. But what blew my mind, was the fact that my pizza sat on the table for about five minutes before it even got put in the oven. Somehow there was a back up of like four other pizzas waiting to be put in. Once my pizza was put in the oven, it took like 10 to 15 minutes to cook and I only got a little 6 inch pizza. It felt like forever that I was standing there at the counter looking stupid. All in all, I was there for about 25 minutes. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt especially because the place is new, but I was really confused by how far behind they were with cooking the pizzas and how long it took for mine to cook. Maybe they need an extra oven for the rush. Also, not to nitpick, but two of the people (men) assembling pizzas had beards with no beard net. I don't want to throw them under the bus because I think their staff is very polite, for example if they got an order wrong they will gladly make another one. The pizza was also good (key word WAS). More recently the pizzas crust varies between brittle and a soggy piece of paper. Plus when it's brittle the crust comes off in flakes. Not to mention it's usually burnt on the bottom of the pizza, usually giving it a gross taste to it. I don't know if it's not being cleaned enough or what, but it's almost always burnt. In conclusion I think the staff is great but the pizza itself could use some work. p.s. it's best to order online it will save you a lot of your time. read more

To start with, being brought up in a high quality pizza restaurant in Europe(sweden) that my grandmom owned, I have to say this is as good as it gets for chain pizza. The ingredients had quality, the pizzas were baked to perfection and unlike most american pizza, the crust was thin, almost burnt and semi-crispy which is the way I want and know pizza. This is actually the best pizza i have eaten in the United states and I have eaten my fair share. read more

My friends and I went early, before 5pm on a Tuesday, pre-dinner rush, and were excited because the place had about five people in it, all of them already eating. We got on line, I ordered right off the wall with no customizations for the pizza or salad. I really wanted to love this place, but after waiting twenty minutes for my pizza (not to mention the bill!) then getting told they'd make me another pizza because the one I got was visibly burnt to a crisp, and a line out the door of people waiting to order coupled with people already lined up at the counter waiting on their orders to come out of the oven.... no. I told them I got there early because I was trying to beat the rush, and I didn't have time to wait another twenty minutes for another burnt pizza. These are thin-crust personal pizzas. A large pie at a regular pizza joint takes less than twenty minutes to make, and costs less! When our other friend showed up later, her pizza also took twenty minutes and wasn't fully cooked. Only one person in our group of four got a pizza that was done just right. Save your money and grab a full-sized pizza at one of the local mom and pop pizza places in town.
