This Mod pizza has been the best one I've been to. Staff here is super awesome. Very up beat and helpful totally want you to be here and enjoy your time while you're here. The GM Todd is super nice and helpful. The pizza is amazing. I'm from CT and we don't have one of these yet, but I hope we do sometime very soon. Anytime I'm out here in OR I want to make sure I make it here. The place is clean and a happy atmosphere. The great part of this place is that it's a young hip staff that make you your pizza at your style and your way. They don't charge extra for more toppings. If you're looking for a place to hang or even bring the family definitely come here. Well worth going out and the money. Drinks are awesome too. Have never had a great experience. It is not nearly as good or fresh as their competitor chain Blaze, which I have been to a lot in Washington State. When I went tonight, I found jalapeño and green pepper in my pizza, neither of which I asked for. I also found a hair in mine...disgusting. Same as all MOD locations. Good flavors. I love the thin crispy crust. I really like choosing all of my toppings for one price. However, it is not my first or even second choice for pizza. It is great for lunch but I would eat it for dinner when a more hearty pizza would be more to my liking. However, with that being said; the quality is great and the taste is great as well. read more

Cross contamination is likely to happen. Don't eat here if you have a allergy. The staff was inexperienced and didn't seem to care about cross contaminating. There is cheese,meat, and veggies all over the place. They were not busy and the shift manager recommended that I eat somewhere else if I was worried about the cross contamination. I don't normally write reviews since everyone has a different experience and some people are never going to be happy. I am not one of those people and give places the benefit of the doubt. This was a very bad experience and I hope that they can clean up their practices to minimize cross contaminated food. Hopefully this will help you choose a safe place to enjoy a meal. read more

I went here for the first time yesterday. I'm a pizza lover whereas my family isn't as much so I decided to check it out. Staff was very friendly, got through the line quickly and it was really fast! Good pizza. They have vegan cheese. The first time I went things were perfect. The second time...I tried the more expensive thick doigh. Raw. Had to get it recooked. They were nice about it but it was a big waste of time when I was in a hurry. Also my husband was done with his food by the time I got my pizza back. Took away from our experience. Great concept and tasty pizzas. But your mileage varies. In the early days I could go here and consistently get exactly what I asked for without any resistance. More chicken? No problem. More pesto? No problem. More peppers mushrooms and olives? No problem. But last few times here the vibe is like I'm asking for their left leg or their last precious slice of pepperoni. Sure, they'll add another piece of chicken to your already sparsely populated pizza, but it's full of drooped shoulder frowny face resistance and feigned topping plopping and hand waving act while one more tiny chicken chunk drops from that clenched hand onto the dough. Next topping, same belabored annoying act. The vibe they're creating is fast fast fast, so while I'm prodding and pleading Scrooge for another 3 mushrooms, the guy behind me is getting annoyed and huffy that I'm holding up the line. Hey, dude, it's not me, it's the tightwad mushroom Scrooge holding up the line. Sheesh. Like I said, good pizza, but I resent having to work so hard to get it made how I want it made, and I'm not asking for the moon for crying out loud. The pizza is good. The ordering ahead of time, is not. I placed my order an hour and half ahead of time. I walked in and went to the front like the website says. They say my pizzas aren't ready. There is NO ONE in line. Finally they start making my pizza and the rush starts pouring in. 6 people in front of me received the pizzas before I did. I would've understood if there were people in line already but there wasn't. They just hadn't bothered making my pizzas by the pick up time. Yesterday after work I went into your restaurant to order a pizza. I walked in with another customer and she was helped before me by a red head with glasses. I then waited over 5 minutes for the next person to hep me (which he was only making extra dough). He came slammed down the two pizza doughs and then asked what I wanted. I told him a mini. He then said well you have to wait again. I said wow, i just waited for a period of time while you weren't servicing anyone. Ok, so he finally comes over with my mini dough; he says what's your name?I tell him. He then has a short attitude. I'm thinking to myself I come here so often and the service is always awesome. I've waited during lunch hour rush being at the front door entrance to get a pizza. Even then no one was rude. I continue to order my vegetarian pizza letting him know what veggies I'd like. He says what's your problem, what did I do offensive to you?? I'm thinking this guy must be mad. I get to the register he slams his hand down and tells me that my pizzas on him and he walked to the back, asked another employee to cook it and he left to have a cigarette. My thought was wow, what just happened. I come here all the time. Then it dawned on me, I'm wearing a turban. Did he just treat me like this because he thought I was a race or religion he didn't like? Unfortunately, I wear it for fashion, I am not one of the nationalities that normally wears them. I then felt horrible and the young gentlemen with the red hair cut my pizza and boxed it. This would be a 3 or maybe even a 4 (3.5?) - but lately they are really really skimping on ingredients. They give almost no sauce, they barely put a couple flakes of cheese on, they put one or two pieces of meat. It has gotten really bad - you really have to prod them to get more than a dusting of any ingredients. I feel like they tricked us when they opened - making things full of great stuff - then slowly have cut back (probably to save costs) and now it's barely worth eating here. read more

My new favorite pizza place in town. Being vegetarian and picky about my toppings I believe this is exactly what I wanted. Walked in and selected the pizza sauce, toppings, cheese and waited for a few minutes. Voila my delicious pizza arrived. They have my fav hot sauce- sriracha. Even better. I was tired of Tabasco and pizza. The staff is great and this is gonna be a great stop for lunch. It is what it is. Mod pizza is a fairly new joint with only two portland metro area locations at the time of this review. You walk in. Give them your name and choose a base pizza. From there you can subtract and/or add toppings or leave as is. Everything remains at $7.16 no matter how much you customize it. They will then assemble the pizza right in front of you. You will then pay and go to your table or wait to the side if you ordered it to go. The pizza is then cooked in a huge fire oven that bakes the pizzas fast. They will call your name when it's done. They have a fairy decent sized dining area (more open then the Cedar Hills location) they also have outdoor patio with a garage door that they leave open on nice days. The crusts are thin, but I find that they taste pretty good that way. They also have thicker crusts and gluten free crusts for a few bucks more. For drinks they have your typical soda, plus homemade lemonades and ice teas that they say are made with cain sugar. Plus various drinks in the cooler, and a few local beers on tap. It's a nice concept. It seems these fast casual BYOM (bulid your own meal) estashments are all the rage now. They don't do delivery, but they do take out. If you want pizza, but want something different from the usual then try these guys out. read more

I've been going to mod pizza about once a month for lunch but today I received the worst customer service I've ever had anywhere. After enduring the typical 15min wait due to popularity I order my pie. They were half way done with making it before the manager (chubby guy with an AC/DC hat) pulls the girl away from making my pizza to bus trays while I'm left to wait 10-15 min before they can get in the oven. Just had an awesome experience at MOD pizza! Ordered the Ulysses, added a customization and it was perfect! Joseph was super amazing!! He was professional but not stuffy, very laid back and helpful. Prices are reasonable and has a garage/artsy atmosphere. Has a small outside patio with heaters but is close to a busy road with lots of traffic which is not that relaxing. However, love the fresh ingredients and great flavor but the music is WAY too loud. read more

What a friendly and helpful restaurant staff at this location. My order was on-time and fresh from the oven as I paid. this was my first order and I think they have a very good product that is fresh, authentic, affordable and quality product. As mentioned the product I modified came out great, but there could have been more of the fresh basil that was ordered. All other ingredients were sufficient based upon size and price.
