Ordered pizza without tomatoes which came on the pizza, because I do not like hot tomatoes and the app does not have a place for notes. Went in to pick up pizza and ask for the tomatoes on the side and was told I had to pay $2 because I said no tomatoes, even though it came with the pizza I ordered. I can't think less of Papa Murphy's, but I can manage far less respect for the people here who call it "pizza." I am unsurprised that this chain has its roots in Oregon's Washington County, given the area's regular and unrelenting assaults on pizza in general. Some of the most ungodly concoctions have emerged from the ovens of the local Izzy's, Abby's, Pietro's, Fultano's, Pyzano's and others. Those ranch-smeared, ham-laden monstrosities are an insult to anyone from a town that takes pride in its pizza (even you, Detroit), but at least someone takes the effort to cook them in a restaurant-grade oven. While I understand why *sigh* take-and-bake might be necessary in rural communities where people have to travel great distances to procure pizza--which doesn't stand a chance of making it home hot--Hillsboro isn't that place. It's a densely populated city of more than 100,000 where delivery services abound and even a chain like Pizza Schmizza can get pizza to your house in reasonable fashion. Which leaves what argument for Papa Murphy's? "Fresh" ingredients? They're still coming out of foodservice packaging: They're just uncooked. Price? I hate to say it, but it's such a large chain that it's competing against the Papa John's, Domino's and Little Caesars of the world: All of which will cook your pizza, and all of which cost as much or less than Papa Murphy's. Finally, that fucking name just tells you how deeply unserious the whole thing is. They kept the Papa from the actual, Italian, pizza-cooking Papa Tony's and saddled it with the Irish Murphy's after the guy who thought an uncooked dough ball would be preferable simply because he wouldn't have to install ovens, train cooks or, you know, do anything beyond what DiGiorno's does. Papa Murphy's is the exact kind of bullshit that the rest of the country laughs at when it comes to the Pacific Northwest and witnesses this backward-ass tableau. It's the reason Portland goes into full revolt against it and makes the best pizzas possible just to atone for the sins of its bucktoothed, backwoods forbears. It's the reason Portland's own Renata now makes frozen pizzas that put this sad take-and-bake nonsense to shame. Papa Murphy's is the Plaid Pantry nicotine patch of pizza. It is to Apizza Scholls what a TV Highway lottery bar is to Monte Carlo. It is rock bottom. read more

Ok, this review is a day late, but I fell asleep on the couch last night lol So, I went to Papa Murphy's yesterday evening to get my son a mini Murph. I knew what he wanted; cheese, sausage and pineapple. Now from previous experience I am aware that they come with one topping. I was totally prepared to pay extra. I walked into the location and gave my order to the employee. She did look confused by the order. She walked to the back to speak to the manager. He came out and i restated my order. His (the manager Seth) reply was something to the effect of "I don't have time to deal with this, you can just have it." When he said this he kind of made a "shooing" motion with his hands. Weirdest thing ever. It took me a few seconds to realize that he wasn't even going to charge me for it. Now I know that solving this problem wouldn't have been that difficult. It didn't seem very busy and it just would have required a basic override on the register. Now I have no problem with free pizza, but I was almost offended by the managers reaction. Hate the tip policy. This afternoon, 39 minutes ago, one server in the location. I was the only customer. I ordered two pizzas with some extras that I was willing to pay for, and did. I then gave her $20 tip and said make it good. She put in in a clear box with other money.... that is not what I wanted. I am not tipping random people I don't know. I am tipping her. I did not want extras... just a good pizza as one would expect from a server that was rewarded.. She made two good pizzas. I then came up to her after and said, I want to tip YOU $20. She said I will put it in the box. I put the $20 back in my pocket. She said "please don't complain". Sad that Papa Murphy's who prides itself on it's people doesn't reward them. We got a pizza and had a coupon today, we ordered online and paid online. Super easy and convenient. I used to eat papa Murphy's years ago, but we wanted to try one on out Traeger so we got one. It was amazing, definitely so good on the Traeger we will buy them in the future to cook. I liked that the instructions were on their website for the Traeger too. We will definitely keep ordering them now and the online ordering was super convenient and the pick up. No complaints at all. Highly recommend trying your Papa Murphy's pizza on a Traeger if you have one or know someone with it, made the pizza so dang good that now we will go back and buy more in the future. Okay, I'm a lazy brat sometimes. I'm a piece of work, I'll admit it. Sometimes I only choose Little Caesars over other pizza places in the area because it's cheap and it's already cooked and ready to go. I know my pizza. It has to be in my blood - I'm Italian. I mean, my last name ends in "O" for goodness sake! Boppity boopity! Well, maybe not. But pizza is at the top of my list for most versatile and most often-ly edible eatables. My little wannabe-boyfriend in Junior High was slightly older than I, and he worked at Papa Murphy's. He would bring me a pizza after his shift and I would [try to] devour it. This is how I discovered you, papa. Your pizza is so filling, but full of pizzazz. I had myself a CHICAGO STYLE STUFFED PIZZA the other night, with a $3 off coupon, and forgot how amazing this slice of heaven really was. Sadly, it had been years since I had this pizza. This is the ultimate pizza. I have had this style of pizza in Chicago before, and my only problem with most locally purchased Chicago stuffed pizzas were that they were beyond massive. Papa Murphy's, albeit a take-and-bake place (which adds some extra time til the moment you stuff your face), makes a lighter but still lovely version and I can't knock the use of FRESH and not dried pepperoni. +1 Papa M's! read more

We apparently have these in AZ, but there are many other local options in the ASU college town (Tempe). I wanted some good cheap pizza and the only thing in Hillsboro that sounded like it fit that bill was Papa Murphy's. I was impressed by the take and bake. I had a Large Cowboy and loved it. The prices was great for the amount and quality of pizza. They have coupons online and with their pizza. Take and bake is a great concept (saves them money to pass on to the customer) and the pizza is cooked to perfection, which is a touch undercooked). read more

Picked up a couple pizzas on Xmas eve and the kids working here blew me away with their excellent customer service. I was waiting patiently for my pizzas, I'd ordered online and was a little early. They got my name and finished them up and carried them out to me, which was above and beyond. They were super busy and had racks set up for people to pick up their own but they went out of their way to get mine to me, and they were all really nice and polite. I've previously gone to the one on 185th where they're outright rude and indifferent, and will be bringing my business here from now on. read more

I never had Papa Murphy's until I moved to Portland. Apparently this pizza parlor chain is not available in SoCal (but quite abundant in NorCal - so I've heard), but I'm glad I got a chance to enjoy this chain here in Hillsboro. After a long day at work and knowing I didn't have any food in the fridge. Being lazy to cook or I'm just avoiding the left overs I have in the fridge, I resort to picking up some pizza here. Compared to your sodium-lagen pizza parlor chains, Papa Murphy's is all about using fresh ingredients. The only downside to getting your pizza here is that you take and bake pizza. So technically, you're not really lazy since you're sorta "cooking" the pizza pie to your liking. What I like is that I don't have to buy my own pizza platter to cook in the oven. With Papa Murphy's magical paper-plate-looking bake & serve trays, it cooks the pizza pretty well. And I just toss the thing into recycling when the pizza is gone (yay to not doing dishes!) I usually order the Herb Chicken Mediterranean Thin Crust deLITE! Based with a EVOO + garlic + fresh herbs as well as sun dried tomatoes (my fave), feta cheese, spinach and the herb chicken itself. After cooking this sucker in my oven for 12-16 minutes, it's crispy to my liking. A large will run you about $10 and is good for 6-8 slices. If you wanna upgrade, the family size is $12. The thin crust pizza is probably a healthier option since it contains 40% less calories and 30% less fat than the other pizza options they have. For those who love their sides, Papa Murphy's also has cheesy bread, salads and desserts available as well. They also sell soda here too! Service is awesome. The employees were able to get my order and prepare my pizza within a couple minutes. Parking is shared lot with 7-11. I've never called in my order, but apparently you can do that here or even order online. Granted this isn't the "best" but it certainly isn't the "worse". The pizza here is pretty decent for a chain and I don't mind coming back here again. read more

Disclosure here is that I'm a Papa Murphy's fan. A friend of mine worked at one in college, and really had fun working there, and got free pizza to boot. This location can be hit or miss sometimes - it gets very busy around 5 or 6PM on weekends, so I always call in my order. And when they are very busy sometimes they get the order wrong, so you need to check the toppings before you drive off. They have a bunch of teenagers working, so I give them a bit of a break. ' All-in-all though, a great choice for a cheap pizza that is actually pretty good. A tip if you want to save even more dough - get the plain cheese pizza with no toppings, and add your own toppings at home before you bake. It'll turn out tastier and you'll save a few bucks. We always get extra sauce because it really improves the flavor. read more

Papa Murphy's T-n-B pizza is better than most cooked pizzas from the national chains. Their quality sets the standard and the price/value is also "top shelf." At this location, the service is the best. You are greeted upon entering the store. You get to watch your pizza being made. And, you rarely wait more than three minutes for them to prepare your order. There is a drive-thru, too, for people wanting to call ahead. Great pizza. read more

Pizza was great, service was better. We ordered a large pizza and paid cash for it, but decided to upgrade and wanted to use my debit card to pay the difference. Unfortunately their system was down, but I was told that they would give us the larger pizza anyway. It is what it is. It is raw pizza that you take home and bake. The dough is good the topping are lots. They have a good garlic sauce with chicken and bacon pizza. For a quick dinner and an easy way to try something different for not a lot of money this is a one stop shop. Get pizza and bread stick and soda, take it home and pop it in the oven while you are getting out of your daily monkey suite and you ready to eat hot pizza. Is there better pizza?
