Stopped at this location after working out. While getting my pizza made was a smooth process, it was the ending that went downhill. As the guy was putting the pizza in the oven he touched/itched his then afterwards touched other pizzas. I asked the manager to tell him to wash his hands as my pizza was next to go in the oven. Floors dirty, tables are dirty, trash everywhere, beverage station is dirty, the back area where they work is dirty just makes me wonder what their food area looks like in the back. Staff is good. Not the best customer service. Made to feel like a number. When I ordered the mad dog mod I was told "if that is all you can go to the register." When my name was called to get my food, it was just that. My name yelled and then the staff walked away. Not asking if I wanted anything utensils or or condiments. I had to stand there, staring at my pizza for near 5 min. Before I was acknowledged. The staff really seem to enjoy themselves. Love mod pizza but some of the employees are so immature. Listening to loud music with profanity without a care in the world. I went in around 10:00pm they were cleaning the lobby and putting up the chairs already. The male employee with the fluffy hair kept slamming and dragging chairs making eating there so uncomfortable but I guess I didn't bother him since he couldn't hear it due to his headphones being in. Upon walking inside, this reminded me of a Subway franchise, except with pizza as their main offering. While they have a menu posted for visitors to see and choose from, you can honestly pick whichever toppings you would like. Of course the price varies based upon size and like any other pizza joint; toppings will not alter the price. I ordered the Dillon James pizza and added grilled asparagus as a topping. It was pretty good, but recommend asking for a thicker crust. They lost 2 stars because upon looking for a seat, there were many, but they were all dirty. Dirty meaning the plates and napkins had not been picked up by any of the staff. There were also two flies buzzing around the kitchen....while they never landed on food, it was still concerning. Fast casual dining is the new black and Mod Pizza does it well. Imagine a subway style assembly line but with fresh and flavorful UNLIMITED toppings. Seriously, if you're not getting more than five toppings you're not living life right and don't even get me started on the drizzle option they give you once your creation is baked. And if pizza isn't your thing (impossible for me to imagine), they offer salads and pizza salads (salad on top of a pizza crust). MAMA MIA! Where do I begin? The whole trick behind Mod's selling point is the all toppings for the same price. This ends up with plenty of odd combinations, which are often rather delicious. I came in there and I decided to order a "Tristan" which reminded me of this pizzeria in Napoli that made a pizza called "pizza al pesto." The only difference is Mods has bell pepper, while the pizzeria didn't and the pizzeria's also had nuts. Regardless, once the pizza came out of the oven and my eyes laid sight on that perfect crust, my mouth immediately begun to water (picture attached). The cheese looked perfect and on par with anything I ever had in Napoli, or even Firenze. These pizzas all come along great service. The man serving me ironically had an Italian name, and he was tall with dark hair. While taking my order he managed to help me pick out a pizza and get a laugh out of me. Delicious goodness. I thought this was going to be another chipotle-style pizza joint that uses conveyor belt ovens like the now defunct Pie Five in Houston. However, they actually use a fire oven to cook their pizza. Plenty of options for vegetarians including artichokes, various peppers, arugla, and basil. The cheeses they use are full of fat and tasty and they offer a non-dairy option. Best of all is the price. No wonder the lines are busy even in non-peak hours. Hi Mod. This is more for management versus an actual review. I noticed you have vegan labeled as your options. Which you do have vegan cheese and I was a regular at all locations until I stumbled upon this one. I REALLY would appreciate it if you made your employees aware of cross contamination!! The red sauce had real cheese in it! Please make employees aware and more cautious or move the placement of the two items. What happens is when they pick up the cheese it sometimes lands into the red sauce. As someone who cannot have dairy at all this is very frightening and very serious. When I pointed this out to the worker that day they looked at me like I was crazy. And I left. I haven't visited this location since. It is not safe. I would like to make you aware of this issue and please relay this to the people working at the store. When you put vegan as an option we are relying on you to keep us safe. This was my first trip to MOD Pizza, and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. I've been to simliar build-your-own-pizza places, and MOD definitely ranks at the bottom. Maybe I came at a bad time, but the place was extremely messy, especially the counters the pizzas were being made on. At least wipe down the counters every once in awhile. Many of the ingredients need to be cut smaller, especially the onions and the bell peppers. I like my toppings spread throughout the pizza, instead of having two large onion rings. The most disappointing part was that the pizza was soggy, and since the crust was so thin, it couldn't really hold the toppings. I guess at the end of the day, pizza is pizza, but I'll probably go elsewhere next time. read more

A few weeks back my staff and I ordered food from here. They didn't give me part of my order and so I called them to let them know. They were really nice and apologetic. They offered to take my order down and said they would give me a complimentary meal for the next time I visited the restaurant. Today, I called to take advantage of the complimentary meal. The first person I spoke with put me on hold for 10 minutes, therefore I hung up and called back. I spoke to a gentleman named Mark. I explained to him what I was told the last time I ordered from them. He asked me what I wanted and I told him that I wanted what I ordered last time- that the girl had told me she would write it down with my name. He said he didn't know about all that and that I needed to figure out what I wanted and to call back and they would see what they could do for me. I was thrown off by it but still said, "okay, thank you." Mark just hung up the phone. Other than not getting my full order, the first visit was pleasant. The girl who helped me over the phone was very nice and respectful. As for Mark, not so much. I felt like he dismissed me, my business and didn't care to make things right. I understand that it's 5pm on a Tuesday night. They are probably busy. Maybe he is having a bad day. I don't know.. but from a person who works with people day in and day out, that was horrible customer service and it put a terrible taste in my mouth completely. I won't be spending my money there, nor do I want the free meal after this experience. Food is good from what I can remember but I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're looking to be treated with kindness or respect. read more

So, my awesome wife says let's go get lunch, little did I know she had been waiting for this place to open for some time now. We walk in and I ask what the heck is this? She tells me it's like Subway but for pizza. I'm thinking oh great, what will this be like. We get in line and of course I am looking at the tables as I walk by. I ask a gentleman what pizza that is as it looks pretty good. He tells me and I continue toward the beginning of the line. That's when I guess the manager on duty approaches me and asks if I have been here before. I tell him no this is the first time. He proceeds to explain the whole thing and it's concept. When I say explain it I mean in a super "normal" way. Not that BS you get from some folks on a first week open. This guy knew how to talk and make you feel welcome. We get to the front of the line and both of us start the "build" process. I go with the BBQ (big shocker I know) and add things to it like pineapple, spicy sausage and other odd things I like to eat. Expecting to get that funny look from the person "building" my pizza as if to say what are you thinking? The look I have seen many times before from other pizza places, but that look never comes. Instead the builders were super nice. You could tell this place had the process down. We go to pay and I see they have orange Fanta in bottles and on tap, we all know that is an automatic 1 star bump. We sit down and notice how nice and clean the place is, safe, the music is perfect. Just an over all nice atmosphere. Not much time goes by and we hear our names called. I go get the pizzas and a refill. While the dude is putting my pizza on the plate he asked if I want the BBQ drizzle thing that in a weird Lebowski way ties the whole thing together. I of course say absolutely to the BBQ drizzle, I mean who wouldn't. To tell you the truth both of these pizzas look pretty good. I mean mine looks great. My awesome wife's veggie pizza looks a little lonely with no meat but to each there own I say. We talk and eat and talk and eat and next thing you know the food is gone and I have had 3 refills of orange Fanta. Things are good, I would love to have had a White Russian but no luck there. So, all in all this is a great place. The build process is down pat. It's clean and has a nice atmosphere. The people are nice. Now, is it the best pizza in Houston? No it is not. The ingredients used are solid though. The crust is solid. It's fast, no weird attitude or odd twitter thing going on. In short I will be going back. So yes I am going to give it 5 stars for what this place is. A pretty well run place with a good concept and good pizza that is reasonably priced in a nice clean and polite atmosphere. I really love this place when I first started going. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful and unlimited toppings for a very small pizza. I called this good feeling fast food! End result is usually good but assembly line can get a bit sloppy and the enthusiasm of the preppers is very hit/miss. Lemonade is super good - tangy and fresh They a variety of serve sauces to drizzle atop your pizza to finish off. It comes in small ($5), medium $8 (Mod most popular), and large $10. You can get unlimited toppings but you only pay for the size pizza you want. It was ready less than 5 min I will def return. This place has to b in my top 5 for best pizza spots in Houston). So I just came to Mod pizza and it was 2 long strands of hair on my pizza and come to think about it I didn't notice any workers wearing hair nets!!!! Mod you have to do better. Gone downhill. I ordered through Uber Eats and half my order was missing. I got red sauce.. there was literally no sauce on my pizza.. Just threw my money down the drain for something unpalatable.. Came here last Friday for lunch at 11 am. I was like the 8th customer of the day. The restaurant appeared to not be ready to open. There were bins of toppings that were empty but luckily the usual toppings I order where already displayed except for tomatoes but I liked the diced salad tomatoes. The sound system speakers were Bose and it appears they had a good system but it seem like the internet radio had a bad connection because the music kept skipping and bad for my ears. Also the college students working were more talkative than usual - I guess they wanted to catch up with coworkers and talk about the weekend. I am all for socializing but please be more detail.
