MOD is a great value. Under $10 for a pizza, you can get as many toppings as you want. They have a few sizes, so if you just want a snack there's a mini size around $5. I want to love the food, but it's not that good. Underneath the crust was crispy, but the crust was almost tough. Sauce was flavorless. I opted for the thicker crust because I was getting additional toppings. I appreciate that the regular crust doesn't contain milk or eggs. Do not get the cauliflower crust if you're vegan, it contains both of those animal ingredients. The non-dairy cheese is pretty goopy/slimy. I've always felt that MOD is one of the best bargains out there since their flat-rate pizza offers a ton of premium topping choices, as opposed to cheaper fare like onions, canned olives and bell peppers. Artichoke hearts, sautéed asparagus, sliced kalamata olives, real Canadian bacon that they tear by hand, fresh basil, roasted garlic, and all kinds of other goodies that make for an unreal pizza at $8.50. But I have to give a shoutout to my new peeps Jordan, KJ and Rod. I went in during a slow period so we got to talking and they were all solid guys. They were all in a genuinely good mood, and we shared a few minutes laughing and talking music, beer, and what's good in the world. I went in a few days later and met James and Joey, two more guys with great attitudes and a pep in their step. I don't recall the cashier's name, but she gets an A+ for her vibe, as well. It's not often that you get to combine great pizza, great people, and a great price. We were greeted with smiles as we entered and they even asked if this was our first time.. which was great. They walked us through the obvious steps of building what we wanted. I love MOD pizza, I have never once had a bad experience until today. I walked in and nobody seemed like they wanted to help me. It already started off with poor customer service. I got my pizza togo and had left. I got home and it was the wrong pizza, I usually check but this time I did not. It wasn't busy so this was the last thing I thought would happen. I come back in (nobody was available when i walked in and there were people infront of me.. i'll post a picture) and she finally comes out and I tell her I had received the wrong pizza and she said "I figured, you can throw it away" ??? Love this place! I'm not a fan of any kind of red sauce, but here I can get very little red sauce or white (Alfredo) sauce on my pizza. It's set up like an assembly line. You walk up, stand in line and start with the size you want. There are two sizes: Mini, which is 6 inches and MOD, which is 11 inches. I've had both. The mini is a good portion for lunch, so you don't go back to work feeling overstuffed. You can also get a salad if you're cutting back for the New Year. Ok now back to the line. Select your size, then either choose from the list of pre determined pizzas (My fav is the Calexico), or you can create your own pizza. Start with your choice of sauce, meat, veggies, then add some additional items like olives or jalapeños. At MOD, you truly get to have it your way. This is what makes MOD Pizza one of my favorite places. You have no idea how excited our entire office was when we found out they were opening up almost in our parking lot. Oh the joy! First time going here, it reminded me of Blaze pizza with all the first toppings, and menu. Staff was super nice and helpful because we really didn't know what we wanted. Been coming here for about a year and the new management has really turned this location around. Personally I've never had any issues with any of the staff but just the genuine hospitality has grown tremendously to the point where they recognize me as a regular here. The pizza is always cooked to a tasty crisp and the soda tastes fresh always. Tables are always clean when I show up for my lunch time and always have a good spot to sit in. Music is never too loud to the point where I can't think and the ambiance is very relaxing. This has become one of my two favorite MODs locations in Houston. read more

Its like the Pizza version of Subway where you can either take a standard combo or make your own by choosing the sauce, cheese, vegetables and meat. They have a wide variety of toppings and cheeses including vegan non-dairy. And irrespective of the toppings, its all the same price. I just loved their Pizzas! Compared to Blaze, they have broccoli, cauliflower,corn and a few other sauces like BBQ and pesto and cheeses there is riccotta, The place looks different but much is the same. This past weekend was my first visit and sadly I came after working out, so all my hard work was for nothing. When I was in high school, I worked for a specialty pizza restaurant and with that experience I am able to recognize good pizza when I see one. For about $8, you get an 11 inch handmade pizza and no limits on toppings. However, I didn't ask for extra of the same toppings, so I'm not sure if there's an extra charge for that. I literally got 75% of the toppings offered and when the pizza came out, it was a nice golden brown color. The toppings didn't fall off when I tried to eat the pizza so that's GREAT! No bubbles on the pizza, which indicates the pizza dough was docked perfectly. Fortunately, I wasn't charged extra when I asked for 2 sides of ranch :) I will visit again, but not often bc pizza won't help me look sexy. read more

Staff were very nice, but rushing so fast that it almost makes you nervous. Noticed pizzas looked kind of brown & crispy as I went to a table. Mine came out almost too crispy and brown. There wasn't any plastic ware at the drink station - had to ask for it. Tables & restaurant were dirty and seemed unkept. Even the items on bulletin board by bathrooms were all crooked. Bathroom was filthy. Mold in mens urinal was so disgusting. Management needs to be watching these things. Systems are so important. Could be a great place with some oversight & direction. read more

Mods is a place that offers quick, made to order, pizza. They have a couple of items on their menu that has preselected toppings but you can also customize your own. You pay one set price based on your selected pizza size and all the toppings, regardless of how many you choose to add, are included in that price. My boyfriend being a meat lover tends to opt in for most of the meats and usually mushrooms as his only vegetable. Meanwhile I like a mix of flavor in my pizza so mine tends to be a bit more colorful than his. Regardless our pizzas comes out delicious every time we stop by this location. Their crust is thinner than your average pizza though so if you prefer pizza with a thick/pan like crust, this might not be your choice. read more

Our family loves coming to MOD and we have been to this location multiple times and it's been great but this location has really dropped the ball. When we arrived, there was only one gentlemen in front of us with a small order and it took us 15 minutes to get our order because the employee assisting us did not seem to know what he was doing and he did not receive any assistance. Really, most of the employees here on July 21, 2019 at noon didn't seem to even be aware they were at their job. Anyways, our one mini cheese pizza came out after 20 minutes and two of the pieces were missing cheese. We requested the pizza to be remade and another 20 minutes it finally came out. The pizza was better but still not great. A employee came and apologized and gave us a free cheesy garlic bread card and desert (we didn't ask for it). We appreciate the gesture but really better customer service would have been just fine for us. Sadly, we more than likely won't be back to this location. At least not anytime soon. read more

Super Burnt not Super Fast. Back to back crispy pizzas. Sorry this place went from fav, straight to crap!!! Quality is no good. Returned last night. Both pizzas for my mom and I were made extra crispy for some reason not by request. Burnt around edges. The person tried to cut around the burnt edges to make it less known. The person cooking the pizzas didn't know what he was doing and burning all the pizzas. When the pizza was finished large patches were showing because sauce, and cheese were not spread evenly... on top of being burnt. Felt like I was eating crispy pita bread. The workers need to stop rushing customers and make sure the dough is perfect, also use enough sauce spread correctly, distribute the right amount of cheese so when properly cooked it looks like a pizza. This wasn't the first time having so so pizza here. A few times it's made good, but recently not so much. Also many regular employees who use to work there are no longer there. Perhaps this is the reason for poor quality. I prefer Blaze pizza now instead. I don't recommend Mod and will never return. Sorry but I look for consistently and this place doesn't deliver. Pizza making is an art, not rushed. Sauce needs to be spread evenly and not spilled onto crust area. Cheese needs to be spread leaving no pockets of sauce showing. Don't rush this process as you end up with un satisfied customers. New employees need to be trained better. read more

Great spot to heal your pizza fix. This particular location has a very small parking lot so you might have to go next door to park. I prefer MOD over Blaze because of their crust. It's not as thin as Blaze and tastes much better. All you can top build your own pizzas for 10 bucks, it's decent for the size and quality. read more

I'm very disappointed. I love Mod Pizza but this location is not good. Multiple people waited for a long time and was ignored by staff to pay for their food. I ordered a gluten free crust and it came to me completely burnt because no one was able to service all of the people that came in. Their were some employees going in and out back and forth while the customers waited. It was not a good experience at all and cannot believe I did not just walk out after all that hassle and wait time. Multiple staff saw we were waiting and just continued on. Hopefully they improve so I can post a better review but I think I'll be going to Blaze down the street for now. read more

The first pizza was out within a few minutes but the person who baked it told me that it had ripped in the oven and she was going to make me a new one. She let me keep it and made a fresh new one. Flavor: 2/5. The ingredients *are* fresh and the pizza is baked right in front of you, but it lacks in flavor. The sauces don't taste like much and the crust while thin isn't very crispy.
