Very impressed at this spot! Stopped by on a lazy Sunday and ordered the 11 inch with pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage and extra cheese. Service was quick, ambiance nice and with a very courteous staff! Watching my pizza go in an open fire oven was amazing! Bravo Zulu as I will be back! read more

Today was an UNFORTUNATELY NEVER AGAIN for me. We love MODS but the 82 B score showed us exactly why we should have left! The pizza was cold-not fully baked and the maybe these ladies were new, but knew not what they were doing. Please clean up the assembly line as needed and as you go per se, change gloves often and try NOT to cross contaminate. I'm soooo disappointed. The trash bins were over flowing and outside smelled horrible. I'm not sure if the smell was from their bin or the surrounded areas. Managers, owners CEO's, etc. get your butts up & check on your businesses. I'm a business owner & I'm hands on! I was NOT the only one that felt this way. A few others said this place has really changed. I'm so sad because we drive from Smyrna to enjoy some good food & we were disappointed. I will be calling corporate for sure! Let's get in here and clean & organize & train everyone effectively, raise this B score & provide us with quality food & quality service. I really love the concept of MOD Pizza--being able to come in and quickly grab a couple of different pizzas is super convenient. The location is easy to get to, there's plenty of parking, and the pizzas themselves are tasty and affordable. That said, I was pretty disappointed with the overall cleanliness of this particular location. The health score was an 82/B, which is concerning, and unfortunately, the condition of the restaurant reflected that. There were food and debris all over the floors and ordering area, the glass sneeze guard wasn't clean, and the drink station was messy with trash overflowing from the bins. Even worse, there were a bunch of flying insects inside, which is never a good sign--especially in a place that serves food. There were around 7-8 employees working, but most seemed to be standing around rather than tidying up. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and polite, which I appreciated. MOD has a great concept and solid food, but I really hope this location prioritizes a deep clean and addresses these issues. I'd love to return more often, but cleanliness and food safety have to come first. read more

Whenever I'm in a pizza mood, I will always go here for the price and the fact I can build a vegan gluten-free pizza. I've had experiences in the past where each time I ordered online my order wouldn't be correct. Going in to build my pizza I've never had an issue. The staff are very friendly and there is no limit on how much of what you'll like on your pizza. Inside the restaurant is decently clean. Drinks and to-go/utensil counter area can be kept better. read more

I really like Mod pizza. It's different than other pizza places. I like the thin crust. But every pizza is a custom order and you can get it just like you like it. Everything is always fresh and high quality. And it is always ready in just a few minutes. I am a carnivore so I usually get the mad dog. I add jalapeño peppers for spice and pineapple for sweetness. Bacon because, well because everything is better with bacon, and I finish with a balsamic swirl. read more

Something has really changed about the services here, and I believe the quality of the food has also declined. I'm not sure if it's because teenagers operate the eatery after hours. I was very thrilled with this location over a year ago and waited to return; it was a shame because I wanted to adore it so much! I understand the staff was fatigued, but my pizza was certainly not fully cooked. Normally, I check it. I should have been concerned when they placed my pizza in for 5/7 minutes and then took it out! There are no strategies for preparing these pizzas or why they felt they were done. The crust was scorched, but I was eating the pizza when it was still cool, and I was leaving the restaurant right away. The ricotta cheese was clearly not fully cooked. I'm simply overall unhappy because I've previously had amazing pizza here; I'm not sure what's happened with management. They do have gluten free crust and cauliflower crust as well. It's causal restaurant where you can dine in or order take out. Very kids friendly. read more

We've been here twice so far, and the first once over the Summer wasn't anything notable besides good pizza! We went in yesterday around 11 A.M., 30 minutes after they opened and there were maybe two regular sized groups already sitting down eating. There was about 7-10 employees in the front but none greeted us, just stared until I started ordering. Which is fine, I'm not a talker either. But, when we went to go get our drinks the whole drink station was so gross. I typically get the blackberry lemonade but it looked old- and like it hadn't been circulating through- which I ultimately didn't get it since it was already almost empty. Then I went to get sweet tea, and that was empty as well. As well as multiple crumbs, unwiped counter etc. while the staff was just playing on their phones in idle time. I'm young as well, so I get checking your phone- but within 45 minutes of being there I'd say someone should've manned the drink / utensil station. Food was great though! lol read more

Terrible experience! When I walked in, I was the only customer in the store, yet four employees stood around the prep table chatting, completely ignoring me--no greeting, no eye contact, nothing. Eventually, one of them mumbled something and started making my order incorrectly. It's clear that the same poor service that led to the closure of your Sandy Plains Road location is happening here. I used to really like this place, but I will not be going back again. The food is good, but it's very dirty in the restaurant. We were the fist customers of the day, and there were crumbs on the tables, and the drink machine was nasty. Like, the drink machine was very gross, and the lemonade dispenser looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time and looked kind of chunky at the top. I decided to give Mod another try since its the only create your own pizza place close to where I live. This time knowing what I now know about the artichoke being from a container I decided to create a pizza with other ingredients than before. We walked in and the entire staff greeted the customers as they filed in which was a nice friendly touch. You get to choose from 3 pizzas sizes a mini for $587 which is great for kids. I ordered the MOD 11" for $787 and there is a thick crust option for $987. I kept my pizza simple this time, but I did add basil since I knew where it was right before the crust, cheese and sauce which still makes no sense. My pizza was delicious this time around and everyone who dined with me also enjoyed their's. I'm so glad I decided to give Mod another try. If you like pizza and like to be creative and have it your way, you definitely need to check Mod out. read more

First timer to MOD Pizza. I saw this spot couple times going to whole food but never managed the time to stop by. I am not a huge Pizza lover :) My favor spot for Pizza is Papa Johns, Quick trip and Costco Pizza so you know I don't have the best taste for pizza. Stop by over the weekend, had a feeling I have to try this new Pizza joint. Parking lot is pretty small and the restaurant wasn't huge but good enough for 50-75 max. First impression? Felt like Pizza version of Five guys. Simple 11" pizza where you can pick what type of pizza (which they have 10 to choose from) and add couple other toppings for free. (Not Meat) This spot also have salad they prepare right on the spot. We ordered a Dominic pizza which came with asiago, chopped basil, onions, tomatoes and sausage with white creamy sauce. We added Mushrooms and black olives for free. We also got small deluxe salad which came with greens, chicken, salami, green bell peppers, tomatoes, olives, parmesan, balsamic dressing which the salad was nice. In total with a drink came our about $19 ish. One thing I didn't know was there was different type and size you can do with the pizza. There is MOD which is just a 11" is what we got and there's a Mini which is a 6" and they had Mega dough which is 11" but thick crust. I like my dough thick on my pizza. Maybe next time ill have to try that. Pros - The pizza came out in 5-8min. It was very fast and simple to order. Cons - Kind of too small for me. I feel like the 11" is like a personal size. Pizza- was decent. It was something new. I like it but I didn't love it. I would want to come back and definably try something new or create my own. I gave 3 stars because you can get a better pizza elsewhere. But that might be just me. I am not a pizza guy so maybe that might be the reason. read more

The line wrapped around in the dinning room (7pm on a Friday) and we walked in, picked up our order and left...not even a full 60 seconds!! AMAZING!! Given it was a pick up online order we didn't interact with staff too much, however, the orders were prepared correctly and the gentleman at the pick up counter assisted swiftly and professionally with helping me make sure I had my order. The pizza was AMAZING!! The simple fact that you can add as many toppings as you want for one price is outstanding. I'm so excited for our next visit! Fast and delicious. I went in to eat and kill an hour before going to an appointment. I failed. Ordered my pizza, grabbed a drink and a table. Hot, fantastic pizza was ready in minutes. Cleaned my plate, eating at my slow pace, and out the door in a half hour. I saw families, business types, large groups and people like me (solo diners). I wanted to compliment the staff and owner of this restaurant, my wife and I who are moving to the area soon came to this Pizzeria and had such great service and a brilliant pizza, that we returned 2 days later for the same! I was there today with my friend and the food was not good at all. We have both eaten there several times in the past and enjoyed it. Today was very different. The cheese tasted either old or imitation. I've never known mozzarella cheese to melt to a creamy pasty texture. It made the pizzas so nasty. This was a visit to remember! Young girl with bad body language, barely spoke and just an all around nasty disposition. I get 2 pizza. 1 of them has some gray mold looking substance on it. I ask her what it was and she said "I don't know. The dough." I politely ask her to give me another one. She takes the pizza and hastily drops it in the trash. She starts putting on the pizza sauce. In it, it has some pork mixed in and I ask her to remove it. I DONT EAT PORK. She takes her gloved hand and slides the pizza sauce off with her hand. Then proceeds to make the pizza as I requested. She puts the pizzas in the oven. 1 comes out burnt and the other perfectly brown. The burn smell was so strong. I ask her to look at the difference in the pizzas. She said "I'm not saying they aren't different but that's just how the oven is!" I asked "How is it that 1 is burnt black and the other one isnt?" She snatched the pizza and screamed "I'll just make it over!" I told her that I didn't want her to make it over because her attitude was bad as soon as I walked in the door. She tried to say that I was rude to her first but when I asked her "How was i rude for not wanting something moldy on my pizza?" She had no response. We had a full loud argument in front of other customers. 1 of the customers told me to watch my mouth and then we got into it as well because WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO??? This white man is cursing and threatening me but the white manager only said something to me. She didnt correct her employee, didn't apologize to me or anything. She turned and stormed away to the back while cursing to herself, I guess. Another guy, a nice and understanding guy remade my pizza. He did it with care and understood what I was trying to explain to the rude girl. He made it better and it was not burnt at all. Its funny how his interaction with me was pleasant even after all that had happened but I was the problem. That girl is trash when it comes to customer service. Let me start by saying I love their pizza. I always come here when I am in a pizza mood . However , I had such a careless experience. I ordered not too long ago at 8:33 pm ( call in) . I was told to come in 15-20 minutes. When I arrived (9:25pm) , no one greeted me until one guy came from the back and asked "you have an order ?" I answered yes and proceeded to tell him what my order was . When he couldn't find it he went to the back to have someone else handle the situation . I explained my order once more . After this guy took a look at all of the orders they haven't started yet , he finally found my paper and said he could start it now. Everyone was laughing ( the workers ) but I didn't catch the joke. I am all about empathy and understanding but they lacked every bit of that . I know what it's like to get busy in custome service , been there done that. Its never what happens but how you handle the situation. Terrible customer service and thanks for doing me favor .
