There is something about the sweetness of the sauce and the crust. Just scrumptious. Gino's East at Lake Geneva didn't disappoint. We ordered our pie and decided on an appetizer as the deep dish pizzas take nearly 45 minutes and we were hungry. We chose the artichoke dip and it was very good. Nice crunchy chips and the dip had pieces of artichoke and spinach, you could taste both. Our pizza finally came out of the oven and it met all of our expectations. Seems basic but many don't know that the deep dish pie's have the crust on the bottom, the fillings of your choice in the middle with the cheese and the sauce is on top. Like I mentioned Gino's sauce has a really nice sweetness to it, and the crust is crunchy and not to thick.
