I want to start by saying i love mod pizzas pizza and their place is usually amazing! I usually get the same people who work late on the weekends (smaller girl who wears a beanie and stoner like kid) and theyre great! Its 652 on a tuesday and this team was really not that great. Theres a line of 5 of us and only one kid with a raiders keychain who is working hard while 6 people are jn the kitchen one by one they all come out and are SLOW so slow. And just not nice. The cashier( light brown hair in a braid with a paw tattoo) ignored me for a few minutes then reluctantly came over and said what did you get in a weird cold voice. Maybe it was me maybe i look annoyed or mad but i just felt weird. I wanna say again i love this place and my usual crew i order from. Maybe these kids are new? I've been in here a few times. I've tried to give them repeated chances, and the last several have all been a disappointment or outright disaster. Ranging from missing items on my pizza, to wrong pizza up to completely forgetting to make it(after ordering it online). When they first opened it was good, and service and management we responsive and great. Within the last 6 - 8 months, it's been in a tail spin. The latest debacle, has me going in and finding a disheveled and dirty appearing staff. As we are making the pizza, the cook starts freaking out and yelling at the staff in the back to 'get out here'. A couple of minutes pass and I come to realize they are 'freaking out', because they think they saw the manager in the parking lot. Let's just say this didn't instill any confidence or fix my previous assessment of this place. My pizza finishes and i leave (take-out) and come to realize they still missed the finishing sauce on the pizza. Not to mention, the person helping me with my pizza had to scramble to locate supplies to even get started to help me with my pizza. Yea great experience. read more

Last week I ordered pizzas for take out. Before hanging up I ask the gentleman taking my order if anyone could help me when I came to pick up my pizza since I recently had leg/ankle surgery? He said no problem just call him when I arrived. Mind you there is no curbside here. So I called to let them know I was there and would be coming in to pay. The young lady told me not to worry someone was coming out to help me. As the gentleman came out to my car he handed me my pizzas and I handed him my credit card. He told me not to worry the pizzas were on him. My heart was overcome with so much emotion that I just wanted to cry. It wasn't about the money it was about the true act of kindness that had brought me to tears. That is service above and beyond. Forever grateful and this will always be my favorite pizza place! read more

Love that I can have as many toppings as I want. Lots of choices.Good flavor. Great salads. Downside, Long lines and not enough seating. If you order to go check before you leave. Ours was burnt both times. I like a thicker crust but it always comes out burnt. I questioned the manager about it and he said it's because it's a thick crust . How about watching it as it cooks. First time trying MOD pizza and it was definitely a great experience. All the employees. All the employees working in front all welcomed me by saying "hello." We were helped by Tony on the line and helped explain how MOD worked and made the pizza just how I wanted it. I was so really disappointed with this place. I was expecting it to be like pieology. But not even close. First of all when I was ordering the person wasn't even paying attention I had to repeat myself like 5 times and the area where the pizzas were being placed didn't even look clean. And not only that when I received my pizza it wasn't even cooked all the way. Hope with time this place gets better. But for now me and my fiance can't rate it with more stars. read more

I like the pizza's here at MOD...but I have to say, they have the slowest service ever! I'm on my lunch break right now. I got in line at 12:08pm with about 7 people in front of me, my order wasn't taken until 12:35, it's now 12:45 and I still don't have my pie! My lunch hour is almost over!!! So the moral of the story is, if you have time to kill and fancy a pizza, come on down to MOD, if you are watching the clock, this is definitely not the place for you!!! read more

I've had 2 pizzas recently from MOD. My grandson drags me there after his baseball games. He loves it! I like the lean crust and being able to fold the pizza. Plus, the kids working there are fun, fast and efficient group. Keep up the good work! read more

Still waiting for them to get it right...... I have visited three times now, and each time they haven't been able to pull it together. The first two times I ended up with a totally wrong pizza( which is unbelievable since I am telling them exactly what I want as they are theoretically making it. The third time my pizza was burned , but after having the hassle of them remaking my pizza the first two trips, I just didn't want to deal w the complaining and waiting all over again. read more

Went here with some friends for dinner, and was really excited to try it out. Place looked fun, staff were very nice, and the atmosphere was great! However, my friend and I split a plain double layer pepperoni pizza, and when I took the first bite we discovered that the dough wasn't cooked through all the way, and was still raw in the middle. We were heading back home anyways, so we finished cooking it there, but it would be nice to not have to take this extra step. read more

Came in on Monday night with a friend. Used to come in more occasionally, after work. Last night was my first time inside in a few months. The pizza was good made well, and cooked well. That wasn't the issue. The issue I had was from something I heard from a worker. Heard this shorter guy worker saying what seemed like a slang term to a co worker. The coworker looked as though they were leaving, or maybe going on a break. I don't really know obviously. But I really personally didn't enjoy what I overheard. The comment seemed slightly insulting that he said to the other worker. I get it they're young 20 something college age kids. But still saying that in front of customers, is unprofessional and inappropriate. I will say though the worker that left just walked out quietly. If it was me I would have commented back. At least there was one person here last night acting like an adult. I will come back here, but I would rather order online and pick up my food. Then to eat around that again in store. read more

Love this place!! Finally we have a pizza place that is good and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. The staff was very friendly and moved fast. Even with how busy it was I hardly waited. The tea's and lemonade's are a must try. I will definitely be back and am already telling friends. read more

Go to MOD Pizza in Napa if you enjoy, dirty tables, over flowing garbage, no customer service, and under cooked pizza! We walked in about 8pm on a Monday when there were very few customers and no one in line. Three employees two men and one women acting busy completely ignored us in line for about 5 minutes with no greeting or contact. The manager was apparently not there and they were discussing how they were goofing off within customers hearing range. We got two pizzas and one was a mini, the man half attempted to make a good dough and made it so thin it was like a soggy cracker. We then asked for ranch and the female worker rudely told us to go to the other counter WHERE NO ONE WAS!! So we stood and waited about 3 minutes until another worker finally looked our direction. He then rudely questioned whether or not we had bought food and was reluctant to give us a container of ranch until he saw our food. We then ate our meal which was thrown together poorly and then went to throw the rest away because it wasn't worth saving. The trash containers were OVERFLOWING with garbage and there was pizza sauce all over the outside of the cans. This was our first and last experience at MOD pizza. read more

Too hot to cook Sat. Night, just moved to Napa...never tried Mod Pizza before. The Menu looks good!!! I ordered 2 pizza's over the phone. The 11" Mad Dog with added black olives and 11" Lucy Sunshine. Asked the young woman, who was taking the order, if I could get "Lucy" with Pesto dollops instead of red sauce dollops and add mushrooms, too. "We can do that" she said. She sounded a little "immature" ...or too new...to be answering the phone...and taking orders...had that funny feeling...she wasn't going to "get it right" I tried to pay with a credit card, because a friend was picking it up on his way over. No...can't do that! Have to see the card. He picked up the pizza's, brought them home....without looking. We opened the boxes... there were no Olives on his "Mad Dog" :(....and no Pesto ...or Mushrooms on the "Lucy Sunshine"...reeeally?? But we were hungry, had the red wine poured and although not what we ordered...Pizza's were still good...although a little skimpy on the ingredients. Four tiny pieces of artichoke on the Lucy and the Mad Dog could have used a little more meat...or olives :) We might try again. read more

If you are looking for an affordable and quality pizza with fresh ingredients, I highly recommend MOD pizza. We love to go here for a quick lunch. Today, however, they impressed me on another level. I went in and ordered 2 pizzas to go. One with chicken and veggies, and another with pepperoni, sausage, olives, onions and mushrooms. Their service was prompt and after about a 10 minute wait I was headed home with my pizzas. After arriving home, I realized that somehow we had been given a Margarita pizza instead of the pepperoni sausage combo listed above. We were pretty disappointed. I absolutely hate complaining in any restaurant situation, but we were craving this pizza so much that I decided to go back and see if there was anything they could do. Some may be wondering how I can still rate this eatery 5 stars after receiving the wrong order. Well, here it is. I am a patron who understands that mistakes are bound to happen, and I am willing to give the eatery an opportunity to rectify it. I went back into MOD pizza and explained the mistake. The manager (I think her name was Angie) immediately apologized and asked someone to re-fire the correct order. In roughly 10 minutes I was headed back home with the pizza we wanted. This type of customer service is truly impressive and will make me continue to frequent this establishment. In addition, you cannot beat the deal you are getting at this restaurant. An 11" pizza with as many toppings as you want (and they have plenty to offer) in less than 20 minutes for roughly 9$. If you are looking for quick service, affordable pizza, fresh ingredients and top notch customer service you simply cannot go wrong with MOD pizza. read more

The General Manager followed us out the door today as we were leaving before ordering due to a very rude employee whom is not cut out for the restaurant business, behaved badly. The GM was very respectful apologizing for her employee's behavior & offering to correct the problem. We declined but felt hopeful that she will get things under control soon, today was her first day at this store. She explained that she had just arrived here coming from Seattle. Went here yesterday and wow, what a nice surprise. You get exactly what you want, no limits on toppings and a great selection. Believe me, you are stuffed after eating the Mod! I think I ended up with about 15 toppings! How much would that cost somewhere else. Spent about $11 with a drink. Tasty, light crust and quality toppings. Not so crowded at 2:30. read more

I was very happy to try this new store. I've been to one other location in the East Bay and loved it, so I was excited to have one in my own town. The only downside of this location is parking can be a little busy. The line moved fast and everyone was very friendly. When my husband and I were done with our food, an employee (no nametag, but he was a shorter fellow with tattoos and glasses) had seen that our plates were empty, and asked if we were finished. He cleared the table and asked if we needed anything else. He was very attentive and polite. It's nice to have good food accompanied with good service. We will definitely be going back. read more

Ive been coming to MOD since the store opened in December 2016. Ive always been satisfied with the service and food until today. I recall since then how everyone seemed to work as a team with the "head cheese" aka the manager overseeing things. I was in there today for dinner and I noticed laziness from the young men behind the counter. If they do not want to work, there are plenty of others out there looking for jobs. Secondly, I was watching the staff as i usually do when I dine in. Im not sure if she is the manager of this store but i think he/she has an attitude problem of some sort towards her associates. I been in the working business for over 30+ years, he/she sure doesn't know how to be a manager or know how to talk to her crew. The past 2 managers Ive seen actually knew what they were doing, which is why I would tip. A manager shouldnt be lazy or scold associates in front of customers. They should be willing to help and serve. This is the wrong business for this female or male manager(couldnt tell what their gender is). Hopefully MOD gets a manager here soon who knows what they are doing and will end laziness and make this store better again like how it was when it first opened. read more

This place has become our all time favorite dining spot. My dad owns a business and supports Mod with several purchases at least 3-5 times a week. We mostly come in the evenings however today I decided I'd stop by earlier(3:45). I've gotten used to the friendliness, smiles and feelings of feeling welcomed in the place and today we did not. No acknowledgement, or friendly smiles. There must've been tension among the workers already. From the minute I stepped in there all everyone could here was complaining by someone who turns out to be a manager by the name of Dan. Complaining about the oven temperature being too high and how he had been making pizzas non-stop since he arrived. Even the other staff looked upset. I believe there's a time and a place for everything. If you are upset about the oven temperature being changed, have a staff meeting OUTSIDE of the public view. We don't need to hear you complain about things that are wrong about the workplace. We proceeded to order and when he rang me up, I asked for the public service discount. He said the company honored no such thing. I told him that was odd since even as early as last night we were given a discount. He said he didn't know who would do that but their prices are pretty low and reasonable already. I decided it wasn't worth arguing over saving $5 and proceeded to pull my bank card out. After today's experience, I don't think we'll be returning to that location. read more
