We had Mike tonight. He is a wonderful server very tentative.. he does everything with a smile and runs the bar. We really appreciate him.

    1/2 order of cheese ravioli's

Cozy, old school Italian pizzaera doing things RIGHT! We started with the lettece and tomato salad. I had blue cheese dressing. It was the perfect mix of ingredients and the dressing was decious. Then we had a 1/2 order of cheese ravoli in Marinara. The ravoili are oval shapped and stuffed with ricotta. Next time, I am getting the full order. We then split a vegetarian pizza. The crust was magic. Tasted just like my moms homemade from my childhood. Lena our server was super nice and very professional. Can't wait to go back.

What a gem! Checked this eatery out while traveling with my husband and omg old school Italian vibes all the way...I enjoyed my food so much I forgot to get pics lol! First, let's talk about the meatball and the garlic bread...the biggest meatball I've ever had so flavorful and moist! You can taste all the seasonings and didn't disappoint! The cheese on the garlic bread generous and ooey gooey goodness! I got the combination plate with spaghetti and lasagna with meat sauce and it was amazing! The lasagna is topped with the sauce and is layered with plenty of cheese. The sauce was on point and tasted like it had been made all day! Our server Paola I believe was her name and she was nice...gave us space to chat and catch up with friends but would check on us periodically. Quaint with a bit of old school charm! Overall a solid choice for Italian food and can't wait to return!

Beautiful nicely decorated Italian interior. Warm and friendly welcome. Perfect soft and not too loud 1940s & 50s (I think) music playing. Quick efficient service. Our orders taken right away. Freshly baked hot pizza with generous toppings. Crunchy but still moist dough. Simple bread elevated to another level with all the generous cheese and toppings. Fettuccine Alfredo's aldente pasta loaded with cheese just as enjoyable. Only comment was on the plate of grilled chicken. Chicken was dry and overcooked. Mushroom and broccoli were ok. Soft but not mushy. Still had some crunch in it. Meatball with sauce was delicious (loved the sauce). Soup ok but mild and lacking the stronger Italian seasoning I was expecting. Overall, it was a nice family lunch with sweetheart and my oldest son's family.

Such a great restaurant. Starting with the decor of empty old fashioned wine bottles. Our waiter Mike also doubled as the bartender very nice guy and knowledgeable. We had the margarita pizza and a Cesar side salad. I had a glass of LaMarca procecco. Yum Next time we are in Napa we will definitely be back.

An old school Italian Restaurant across from the Oxbow Public Market. It isn't that inviting from the outside. My husband was craving Italian food so we thought we'd try it out. Our back up plan was the Oxbow Public Market. We yelped it as we stood outside and it got 4 stars so we took the chance. When we entered there was a sign that said please wait to be seated. We were not greeted upon arrival, which was odd as several employees just passed us as we stood there. Someone could have said we'll be right with you, even though it wasn't there job to seat people. Eventually we were greeted and we had our choice of seats. The place was empty. The baseball playoffs were going on so we sat in the bar. As we sat down a steady stream of people came in. We were there on a Saturday evening around 5pm. So, we were a little early for the dinner rush. Once we sat down one other the people that just passed us as we waited to be seated greeted us, he was the bar tender and he served the people that sat outside and those in the bar. It seemed a little too much for him. He was really being pulled all ways. He greeted as soon as we sat down and given menus and as he took our drink order he brought us water. My husband then ordered a beer after our waters were being delivered. We ordered the anti pasta salad, It was really good. It had salami, baloney, cheese squares, Olives both black cut up and whole green ones with the pits, and a banana pepper. We also ordered the small margarita pizza. Both hit the spot. The small pizza was the perfect size for us, we even took a piece home. Overall we'd go back. The food was good and service was ok. Prices were reasonable especially compared to other Napa eateries. It was also nice to sit down and be served, as compared to Oxbow Public market.

    Spaghetti , 1 MEATBALL, LASAGNA
    Rob M.

Walked into Filippi's hungry. Walked out needing a forklift and possibly a nap. Let's talk about this glorious carb parade: The lasagna? Layers of cheesy, saucy joy stacked like it's trying to win a game of Tetris in my stomach. It didn't just hit the spot--it declared dominion over it. The meat ravioli was like little pillows of happiness, except instead of dreams, they were stuffed with perfectly seasoned meat and smothered in sauce like Nonna's love. 10/10 would let it ruin my diet again. Spaghetti? Classic. Comforting. So much of it I half expected Lady and the Tramp to slide into the booth beside me. I twirled it until my wrist cramped, and I have no regrets. And then... the meatball. Not just any meatball. This thing was the size of a softball. I don't know what cow they borrowed this from, but I hope it got a thank-you card. Juicy, tender, and capable of causing brief, joyful tears. Staff was warm and welcoming--even when I asked them how many people that meatball has taken down. Highly recommend. Bring friends, or at least a game plan and elastic waistband. Mangia!

    Prosciutto Margherita Pizza

Lovely restaurant with a lovely ambience! The inside gives a warm and cozy vibe, like you're in the comfort of one's home. The food was great and hit the spot. I ordered the margherita pizza with prosciutto and it tasted great. I also ordered a side of beef ravioli (not pictured) and it was so juicy and flavorful and saucy, just how I like it! Service was great--the server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Would come back to try the other menu items!

    Lasagna... looked bad, tasted decent
    E. Y. G.

Restaurant is cute with an old school vibe in a great location. Service was decent. Food review: All the food we tried was good in flavor but completely lacking a nice presentation. Not a fan of the cheese being over the pizza toppings as it doesn't allow for the toppings to crisp. The Lasagna had no sauce inside but rather they just top the pasta.

This review comes after my second five-star visit to Scala, and it has firmly earned a spot on my list of must-visit restaurants in Napa. The restaurant is both elegant and inviting, with a beautiful ambiance that has a perfect balance between sophisticated and comfortable. The service has been exceptional on both visits--attentive, polished, and genuinely welcoming. On each visit, we dined family-style, sharing a salad, an appetizer, a pasta, and, of course, the famous pork chop. Both the chopped salad and Caesar salad were fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned for sharing. The Spaghetti with shrimp and clams, along with the Calamari di Monterey pasta, were absolutely outstanding--so much so that I'm still thinking about them days later. And now, the pork chop. I'm not entirely sure what culinary wizardry goes into creating this Pork Chop Milanese, but it is nothing short of extraordinary. The pork is pounded impossibly thin, fried to golden perfection, and coated in a delicately crisp crust that somehow remains light and airy. It's finished with a buttery lemon-caper sauce that adds just the right amount of brightness and richness. It sounds almost absurd to say that fried pork melts in your mouth, but somehow this one does. Every bite is perfectly balanced, SO tender, and honestly unforgettable. I left thoroughly impressed after my first visit, and after my second, I can confidently say this wasn't a fluke. I'll likely find myself returning to Scala every time I'm in Napa until I finally get this pork chop out of my system--which, at this point, may never happen.

We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were soft and flavorful, though I personally prefer them a bit crispier. Similar to the carbonara, the added lemon flavor took away from the dish for me and overpowered some of the other flavors that would have otherwise shined. The arancini was excellent with a perfect ratio of rice to filling and an incredible cheese pull that made it a standout appetizer. However, our favorite starter, and arguably our favorite dish of the meal, was the Wagyu meatballs. They were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and paired with a sauce that was absolutely incredible. In fact, they were one of the best things we ate during our entire trip to Napa. I would highly recommend stopping in just to order the meatballs. I was especially excited for the fish, but unfortunately the combination of the salt block and caviar made the dish overwhelmingly salty for my taste. We truly came for the carbonara and were disappointed that it did not live up to our expectations. There were so many elements that would have made it a perfect dish. The pasta was cooked beautifully, the sauce was rich, and the guanciale was perfectly prepared. However, an added citrus or lemon flavor overpowered the classic flavors we were hoping for and took away from what otherwise could have been an outstanding carbonara. The star of the meal was the Raviolo. Between the egg yolk, truffles, brown butter, and the rich filling, every bite was exceptional. It was easily one of the best ravioli dishes I've ever had and a dish I would return for without hesitation. Even the bread service was memorable. The Parmesan and garlic accompaniment was absolutely delicious and set the tone for the meal from the very beginning. While not every dish was a perfect fit for our preferences, the atmosphere, service, and standout dishes made Bottega a memorable stop in Napa. The Raviolo and Wagyu meatballs alone are worth ordering and are dishes we will be thinking about long after the trip is over.

I still had to pick my kid up from school, so it just made sense to slide somewhere close by that never misses. Pulled up to Ristorante Pasta D'Oro -- this was my third visit -- and just like every other time, it delivered. Honestly, it might've been even better. We grabbed the regular spaghetti and split it between my two sons. Plenty of food, easily enough for two. I did ask about the spaghetti and meatballs since they usually run that as a special, but it wasn't available today. Still, the regular spaghetti held its own with no problem. I also picked up the mixed greens salad, and the vinaigrette is different in the best way. It's flavorful, balanced, and seriously one of the highlights. When I brought it home, my fiancée tried it and immediately said I should've asked for extra. I didn't realize it was going to be that good, but now I know. Pro tip: ask for extra dressing. We grabbed the penne pasta as well, which my fiancée said was great. And once my toddler finished his spaghetti, he went straight to helping her with the penne. That's how you know it's fire. On the side, I ordered the mozzarella sticks -- handmade, big, crispy, and cooked perfectly. I believe it came with about four to six, but they're large and filling. Everything was 10 out of 10. If I could give it a million out of a million, I would. Since I can't, it's a solid five out of five stars every time. Pasta D'Oro for the win.

We ordered the ribeye dinner, shrimp Alfredo, misto frito, and bread pudding (bread pudding was DISGUSTING because it's premade and microwaved). There's a few things that could be a lot better 1. Dining-in wait time was long even without no one dining in. 2. Our food came out very very cold 3. Mash potatoes lack creaminess and flavor. 4. We had to ask for the complementary bread and olive oil which was premade low quality. The ribeye was juicy had flavor the veggies was perfection in flavor the mash potatoes whew failed miserably almost tastes like box mash potatoes. Chef needs to get the mash potatoes recipe together asap. The portion size of the sides are very very small. Especially for the price you're paying for the ribeye dinner. The Alfredo was a chef kiss perfection ! Stay away from the BREAD PUDDING AT ALL COST!
