Pizza was good. We have experience with Blaze at Bayshore and really like the concept of the made to order pizza. This is basically the same but the crust is actually better. We liked the specialty pizzas and felt this concept for pizza is far better than the regular chains and doesn't leave you like you have a rock in your stomach after eating a few pieces of grease soaked pizza. These are light and you could easily eat a whole pizza yourself. The service was terrible. The person taking the order in the beginning was shouting at us and I don't think she even knew it. Not sure if that was her normal speaking voice but she needs to tone it way down. After asking if I have been there before I said no but I understand the concept. I think she took offense to that and continued to explain and make me feel dumb when I didn't say my name first and what size pizza. Every time I come here, the workers are super positive and smiling and greeting me as soon as I walk in the door! The employees have nice conversations with me and one employee even complimented my shirt! This REALLY cheered up a bad day. We are vegan and my husband put a dressing on his pizza that wasn't vegan friendly. I assumed that he knew what he was doing and I asked for some too, since I'd never seen it. The employee, Tatiana, saw that I was about to get some on the side and she double-checked the ingredients for me to see if it was safe for us to eat because she had suspicions, and turned it out it was NOT vegan and had eggs in it. This was my first time at a MOD Pizza and I was actually impressed. The pizza was really really good. I'm kind of a snob when it comes to eating pizza and I usually shy away from chains but this one was great. I had the Dominic and loved it. I'd like to try some of the others because they looked equally appetizing. And everyone inside was helpful in answering my questions--since I had never been to one, I had a few... Not too many people in there considering it was lunch hour. They have great lemonades and the decor is pretty nice. The food selection process is almost like going to Subway -- you choose the size and type of crust, and then decide what toppings you want (they have at least six types of cheeses to choose from, and at least that many types of meat). The only downside is that the crust is usually a bit soggy in the middle (maybe I put too many toppings on my pizza). I used Yelp to find a pizza place that was gluten free and dairy free. MOD Pizza wasn't far from our hotel. The pizza was delicious and the fact that they changed gloves before I even asked them was encouraging. I have Celiac disease and a dairy allergy so if I get contaminated then I am in trouble. While I appreciate them reacting to the growing line, this woman was clearly not happy about having to do any work. She had sunglasses on her head and was wearing printed leggings. I just found her appearance to be a little casual and inappropriate even for the casual environment. I may being harsh due to the fact that she was really rude. She couldn't hear me when I was listing off the toppings I wanted on my pizza and really rudely said "I can't hear you".. the tone in her voice caught both my husband and I off guard. There are a lot of options for toppings and my favorite was the roasted broccoli! There were a few brown pieces of Romaine lettuce which I was able to pick out but kind of annoying. I also got the Caspian mini pizza (a bbq chicken pizza). The crust was great and the bbq sauce was just right. The Gorgonzola cheese was a bit overpowering. Here's where the 3 stars comes in- the chicken was very disappointing. It was that kind of chicken you get that's 'ready to eat' for fajitas or something but you're not quite sure if it's real chicken...just grosses me out. So I ended up picking off most of the chicken.
