The whole concept is similar to Subway or Chipotle, but for pizza, you walk down the line and get to fully customize your pizza exactly how you want it. From the sauce to the cheese to all the toppings, everything is made right in front of you, which makes the experience feel fresh, interactive, and actually pretty fun. What really stood out to me was how many options there were. Whether you're someone who likes to keep it simple or load up your pizza with a bunch of different flavors, there's something for everyone. The ingredients all looked fresh, and the staff kept things moving quickly while still being friendly and helpful, especially for a first-timer like me. I ended up going with their limited-time option, and it was absolutely the right choice. The combination of flavors worked really well together, and you could tell it wasn't just thrown together, it felt thoughtfully crafted. The crust had a great texture, the toppings were well-balanced, and everything tasted fresh out of the oven. Honestly, every bite was worth it. Zero stars if possible... Customer service at this MOD Pizza location has significantly declined. The quality of service we used to receive here is, unfortunately, gone. With the change in management, there has been a noticeable shift... and not for the better. Instead of leadership that mediates, assesses situations, and sets the tone for professionalism, the current management appears to enable poor customer service. The lack of managerial presence and skill is evident. Rather than guiding staff in how to interact respectfully with customers, the environment feels unmanaged and dismissive. This is not simply about following procedures... new employees can follow rules and still deliver good service when leadership models the right behavior. Here, that leadership is missing. During our visit, one staff member did comply with a simple request to spread barbecue sauce... but did so with clear attitude. Items were thrown around, and the behavior made customers feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. It came across as confrontational... as if the employee was asserting authority over the customer instead of providing service. That is unacceptable in any customer facing role. What is most disappointing is that we have been loyal customers of this location for a long time. The change in staff and management has clearly altered the culture... and not in a positive way. When employees act as though they are in their own home rather than a professional customer service environment, it reflects directly on management. If long standing customers are treated this way, it raises serious concerns about how this business will sustain itself. This is basically like a bad version of Blaze pizza, which I like well enough. More specifically, the crust tastes like a flavorless wafer and the red sauce lacks flavor. My youngest and I really enjoyed our dinner from MOD. The place is always clean, simple design, friendly staff. I also appreciate they are super involved with the community and always offering fundraisers for local schools and organizations. They also have a ton of toppings to choose from, as well as alternative crust options like cauliflower and gluten free. My daughter ordered the Mad Dog which is their version of a meat lovers pizza and she devoured it. I ordered a create your own with unlimited toppings. I chose artichokes, tomatoes, spinach, red onions--which were diced and not sliced--the garlic rub, bacon, extra chicken, mozzarella, extra Gorgonzola and hot buffalo sauce and ranch on top. We enjoyed our pizza at MOD Pizza in Fontana a few weeks ago. My eldest daughter and I wanted to eat pizza again. There is a MOD Pizza in Rancho Cucamonga. Cool! And here we are... We got here an hour prior to closing on a Wednesday evening. Ambiance was nice. They have inside and outside seatings. They were not too busy at the time. Staff welcomed us right after our entry. The young gentleman was super nice and friendly. We ordered the same as last time... 11 inch thin crust with unlimited toppings. However, the toppings were a little different this time... Canadian bacon, bacon bits, red onions, garlic, basil, pineapple, mushroom, olives, jalapeno, roasted red peppers, roasted tomatoes, roasted corn, cucumber, artichoke, arugala, spinach, green leaf, and chickpeas. That's right... stack them up LOL. They have a drink station with various sodas and fruit drinks. We just got 2 water cups. Wait was not long at all, but then again it was just us and another table of customers. The pizza was yummy and delicious. The thin crust was crunchy. The fresh ingredients were tasty. I wished the Canadian bacon was on top so it could be crispier. I'll ask for that next time. We'll definitely be back here to get more MOD pizza when we're at the Day Creek Marketplace hitting the other restaurants LOL. read more

This place is cleaner and better than Blaze pizza although I do like Blaze but Blaze has lost its appeal while I do also enjoy Pieology in Upland. Happy this location stay open till 11pm but the service is sometimes off putting to say the least. There's always someone who wants to rush you through the order even if you're the only person in there. We came in and ordered fairly quickly, but again I don't know why it feels like they have to move you so fast when no one is behind you and it's like they expect you've memorized everything they offer. We don't. In this case, it was the cashier and prep person with the ID: AABMCM4SACED. It was only 9:30pm so there was plenty of time prior to close and three other people working, so I don't know why there was such a poor level of service. When our pizzas were ready, he said my name, put them on the counter and said there's one dipping sauce in the box. He then walked away. I said, "well thank you" and he muttered something back but wasn't about to make eye contact or acknowledge me. It's $50 for two pizzas and a salad with a tip. We didn't stay there. This place makes its money. I wish you could at the very least get a tiny bit of customer service. There's plenty of seating but they clearly don't want you to stay and eat it there. There is nothing happening to make anyone feel welcome or appreciated. I wish it was just a one off, but this isn't the first time, just the worst time...Same guy has another bad review in the comments from April. I got excited when I found another place that offers it-- so I thought to give them a try. I tried to order online but it didn't accept my payment, it took my payment then cancelled/ reversed the amount on my card so I wasn't able to order online. I went in to place the order which was fine b/c there was no line. My order: BYO (Build Your Own) cauliflower Crust Pizza, red sauce, basil, mozzarella shredded cheese, pepperoni, sausage, light olives. Customer service 10/10 Cleanliness of restaurant/ food preparation area 10/10 Taste of food 5/10 Although it's cheaper than Blaze (that's who I'm comparing them to b/c I don't care for Pieology and I eat cauliflower crust so since that's a specific type of crust that's why there's a comparison) the taste was t all the way there for me. MOD Pizza is located in a Stater Bros shopping center. There is plenty of parking and features both indoor and outdoor patio seating. This is don't chipotle style where you pick your crust, your sauce and then your toppings (this is for the create your own option or you can ask for one of their many pizzas). The create your own is definitely the way to go! I got the 11' cauliflower crust with traditional red sauce, basil and garlic as my base - I then topped it with mozzarella, grated Parmesan, spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, green bell peppers and red onion . I then had him sprinkle on oregano, salt and pepper . Once it came out of the oven (about 10 minutes) I had them drizzle on some ranch as well. CHEFS KISS ! They also have salads you can build and lots of drink choices. My one complaint - no lunch specials ! I was really hoping for a small pizza + mini salad lunch combo ! Shocked by the hostility, I addressed my concern with another supervisor, Daisy, who was equally dismissive and cold, offering a sarcastic apology. #102 for 2021 I had a craving for pizza and I wanted to pile the toppings on. When that happens the best thing to do is create your own pizza. You can do that at Mod pizza. With 30+ toppings to choose from the possibilities are endless. The pricing is not bad either. At $8.27 for an 11 inch with unlimited toppings we decided to get 2 for dinner. I let my son build one while I build the 2nd one. Customer service was super friendly spot on. It was my 1st time there everything was explained to us. The few questions we had were answered confidently and thoroughly. You start first deciding the kind of pizza you want. There are the classic ones. You tell them what you want and they make make. The other type is create your own pizza. Choose from a $6.27 6inch, $8.27 11inch or $10.27 11inch thick crust. There are 3 types of crust to choose from too. Regular, gluten free and cauliflower crust. Now here's where you can get creative beginning with the oil and sauce you want. Mix and match any way you want. Now choose your cheeses. I like to add 2 to 4 different types of cheese to mine for taste and gooeyness. The rest of ingredients is toppings. You have your meats and veggies to choose from. They don't enough of these. I'm constantly asking them to add more. Then, some times to even add more after that. It's like they're trying to use as little as possible. When I make pizza at home I'm very generous. And it's all right to do that here they don't complain about it so I just keep asking them to add more. Because the crust is thin, really thin, it's not a good idea to add a super thick layer of toppings which contradicts the idea of unlimited toppings. A super thick layer will make the crust too moist to pick up and takes longer to cook to get everything all good and gooey. If you do want a thicker layer better get the 11 inch thick crust. That will hold more toppings and that's what I'll be getting next time. Lesson learned indeed. Now that we had our pizzas built we were advised it would take 10 minutes. That's not bad. Some times the wait can be much longer when the place is poppin' busy. At this time fortunately it was not. We were able to sit at the indoor tables listening to the music checking out the decor watching the few people coming in and out. Before we knew it my name was called. They smelled divine. We were ready to chow down but that wouldn't be fair to the rest of my fam so home we went. Both came out deliciously good. For the 3 of us the 2 pizzas were enough to fill us up just right. No left overs and an easy clean up. Convenient, cheap, delicious and good. There are many pizza options around and we'll certainly be back for Mod Pizza. read more

My wife has celiacs disease and cannot eat any food with gluten and both times we have been here the staff have been very helpful in ensuring that in the preparation of her pizza that there is no cross contamination. It's certainly appreciated! The pizzas were delicious- you can select from their menu or custom make your own style pizza. They had a wide variety of meats, sauces, vegetables and seasonings. Price point expect to pay about $12 per person (not counting drinks) What's also nice is that this place is pretty casual, so if you wanna relax and enjoy the day you could come here and have a nice beer. I was envisioning coming home and writing a nice review about the customer service, because the girl who answered the phone for my curbside order was very nice. But after sitting there for 20 minutes past the promised ready time with no one coming out to give me my order, I had to call back in and ask them where my salad was. They were not busy. I could see them through the window, socializing and playing around in the kitchen area. The guy said they forgot to bring my salad out, and brought it out to me. I get it home, and it's got the wrong ingredients! Good job guys. You were 20 minutes late bringing out my incorrect salad. All of the staff working at MOD are always super friendly and efficient. It's relatively easy to pop in and out with a delicious made-to-order pizza at a reasonable price. The pizza itself is pretty standard, there's not a whole lot that sets it apart from the competition, like Blaze & Pieology, but it's convenient and easy to run in and out most times I've come through.
