As a New Yorker, I live for a good thin crust pizza. MOD pizza does that and more! After a day of playing tourist, I stopped by the armory before hitting up the space needle again for some dinner. MOD pizza was the only restaurant that seemed enticing to me, mostly bc the other places were dead and there was no employee behind the registers. The girl and guy that served me were super nice and welcoming, cracking some good jokes and asking if I was enjoying the music. I love the fact that I can customize my pizza, which is great for anyone who's watching their weight or just likes more options. I'm used to my dollar cheese slices back in the city, and papa johns/dominoes for "customizable" pizza that isn't even good. Yikes! I'm hoping they were having an off day. Almost 30 minutes in line and ordering. They were not moving real fast and kept messing up orders. I finally got my pizza and they forgot to put cheese on it. I didn't send it back because I didn't want to wait. I had an amazing experience at this location. Adam went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. The staff was extremely friendly and made sure to load my pizza up! Used to be good, but they have changed over time. Now the people working are talking more angrily to each other, the food is taking longer from when you finish designing your pizza, and more often then not the pizza is coming out with the crusts burnt and often with large bubbles. I am sure it can be turned around. But recently it has been getting worse. read more

Adam was amazing! I have been to Mod Pizza before but I didn't know about the garlic butter sauce for the crust! I absolutely love MOD pizza. But today I had a trifecta of issues. Waited and got two pizzas made; one small Maddy and one regular custom. Made perfectly and paid. Pizzas come out. But apparently they gave my Maddy pizza to the wrong person. They took it. That person returned for his others and was told his first one was wrong. He went to his table to retrieve it, and they moved the pizza a customer had for two minutes to my paper. For real. Then my pizza came out and with such a force that the toppings slid off on about 1/3. They tried to fix it (still not aware I was watching) and someone said the pizza wasn't done so after out & messed up for a minute they put it back in. A couple minutes later the forceful pizza cook threw my pizza out & it cracked off a third. They saw it. They cut it and moved on. One piece was pretty messed. On my second piece I almost cracked my tooth. Small stone in my pizza. What the heck? Not a good day for MOD. I'll likely go back to my home locale but I'm not hitting this one again. read more

Choose from chef favorite combinations or simply go down the line adding toppings of your choice. Pineapples, red onions, cilantro, and various meats are just a few of the available toppings. The polite kitchen staff cook your pizza on site, ensuring freshness and warmth - definitely can't complain about that. The only thing keeping me from providing more stars is the fact that spinach wasn't an option for a pizza topping but pineapple was (if you like pineapple on your pizza that's something you can take up with a higher power, lol). read more

Ok, food court pizza joint. I was expecting the worst. Glad I did because the food knocked my socks off and it wasn't overly expensive either. I also ordered a small side salad that was made and tossed with dressing while at waited on my pie to bake. All very fresh ingredients and a high quality dough. Same concept as Pieology. You order what ever you want on Pizza and they make it right in front of you. The master of ceremony is the guy who matches the pizza with your tray with your name on it. Seems easy but when there are 25 pizzas coming out of the oven they need a savant to keep up and somehow it works perfectly. I ordered my pizza well done and they really made it well done. Still excellent food, a bit chaotic but for the price and service well worth it. And they serve Milkshakes too; crazy and awesome! A Seattle must visit if you are near the Space Needle. read more

I have been to the Bellevue and University District location, and I give them both 4 stars. I just don't like this location as much. For some reason they put tomatoes on my pizza and I didn't ask for them, I caught that before it went in the oven, so I told the lady making it to pick them off. Part of this was probably because it is a food court and hard to hear with so many people around, which is why I prefer the other two locations. Also, there are flies near all the toppings, which I guess is ok since the pizza cooks in an oven at a very high temperature, but if I hadn't already paid before seeing that, I would have gone somewhere else. Another new addition to the Seattle Center. For $6.88, you can't get a better deal than this. The "personal" pizza easily feeds two people. My friends and I went here for dinner on a Tuesday. Two of us ordered the Mad Dog and one person got the Tristan. I thought the Mad Dog was okay, but then I traded a slice with my friend's Tristan. It was delish! I can't believe the pesto-based, no-meat pizza actually trumped the all-meat pizza. I'd recommend the Tristan. If it was for the Mad Dog itself, I'd give this place a solid 3-star. I have 3 kids with different food allergies. My oldest is allergic to eggs, wheat, and soy. My youngest is allergic to milk and wheat, my middle child is allergic to eggs. So what really impress me is when I talk to the manager they did what was necessary for kids to have their own pizza. They had non-dairy cheese that didnt have soy in it. Their gluten free crust is made of tapioca flower and rice flower and doesn't have eggs. They changed their gloves for each kid and use a different clean pizza cutter for pizza to prevent cross contamination. Bottom line all 3 kids was able to get their own pizza. First timers, came here on the rec of a local friend. We wanted a quick bite near the space needle. She suggested checking out the food court and specifically suggested Mod Pizza. The employees were very friendly and explained their process: unlimited toppings on a personal, thin crust pizza. And they had a buffet of topping choices! There is a menu of various pizza types to choose from, and they are happy to adjust toppings. Or you can pick and choose from the topping line. Perfectly baked in a wood fire oven. This place is not terrible, but not great. Quick custom pizza lacks oven baked benefits. The pizzas aren't cooked long enough to cook (or even warm) the toppings you put on the pizza. So if you don't order pre-cooked toppings, they come out raw (and everything except the cheese is cold) on top of your pizza. The thin crusts are nice and the sauce is ok but kind of sweet. The bonus to all of this, however, is that you get your pizzas super quickly. read more

Wow I was blown away by the attitude of the girl taking our order. First of all I don't know Mods order ing process. We had a large family with varying kids and adults wanting different pizzas, sizes and salad. I was told I needed a number of pizzas ASAP and since I didn't know I was given a complete attitude like I was a difficult customer. She then gave me a head swag and more attitude. I made a large order of serval pizzas, salad, drinks but mostly I WAS SERVED TONS of ATTITUDE with no apology from manager even though he was standing right there.
