    Vegan cheese and pepperoni pizza
    Candace S.

I stopped by the Armory Center to grab some food. I decided to try out MOD Pizza since they had vegan cheese available which is a rarity. I got a personal size pizza with thin crust. It was very good! The service was also pretty quick.

For your motto being "Superfast" I'd expect FAST. I got SuperSlow instead. Having only THREE workers on a Friday night shows a lack of care for your employees. Do better, because this is disgusting. Maybe if you fully staffed your business you could actually live up to your motto. We've been in LINE for 15 minutes and literally haven't moved 4 feet. I'd have already left if it wasn't for my wives wish of the crap pizza line from the south.

I walked right up and ordered with no wait but it took more than 15 mins to get my pizza and when I finally did, one of the slices was missing all the cheese because of the little metal tent they use for the order number. The kid behind the counter didn't offer any help.

Terrible wait time for fast food. Took over an hour :/ so many ppl working but doing stuff like stacking boxes while a line was out into the mall. They don't seem to register ppl are waiting.

We hadn't been to a Mod Pizza before, so we were pretty impressed. Staff was friendly and patient with us, and the pizza as excellent. Ate the whole thing!

I love Mod Pizza. I had this the first time I came to Seattle and really enjoyed it. It is a pizza place where you can customize your order and make your own pizza. Think of it as a Chipotle version of pizza. It is located right in the armory near a couple other restaurants. You can easily get here by the monorail. It is located right next to other Seattle locations such as the Space Needle and Climate Change Arena. I decided to go with one of the Tristan. It was a veggie pizza with mushrooms, asiago, peppers, and pesto sauce. It took a while for everything to cook and be served to you so don't expect to get out quickly. The pizza was very good and filling. We were heading to a Kraken game at the arena so we wanted a more affordable meal than eating over there. If you are in the area craving some good pizza I would suggest you go here.

These guys won my vote. A1 for service. Everyone in here was so kind and unusually friendly. I love seeing this because it's a sign of good management. I could tell the employees were happy and it made the experience a joy. No complaints on the food either. While it's hard to mess up, I've had it happen before (not here), but this wasn't the case. If you go, try the mega dough. A lot of people don't know about mega dough. I think this is actually poor marketing because it makes you sound like a fatty fat fatty for ordering it. Really, there's thin crust (regular) and hand toss (mega dough) like what you'd find at a papa john's or domino's. Mod is so simple, yet satisfying.

I got a DIY type salad which was quite good and rather large for the price. However, the service was incredibly slow. I went around 5PM on wednesday, there was 3 people working, and maybe 10 people in line in front of me. I waited in line for about 15 minutes for the salad and then an additional few minutes at the register since no one came up to ring up my order. I do think 3 people is not many for the orders they had but I also think I waited a little too long.

The pizza was the perfect size for two people and generously loaded with toppings--every bite had a great balance of flavors and ingredients. The crust was just right as well: not too thick, not too thin, and baked to perfection. We also ordered a few drinks. This was an interesting combination of stuff. The focaccia bread was solid. It wasn't really crispy at all, but it did have solid air to it. The brie was good, but the apple slices were a little confusing. Dipping each of the elements in honey resulted in something solid overall though. Next came the main pizza - a chicken and bacon version. I did not like this that much. The chicken and bacon on top were fine, but what tasted odd was the sauce and the crust. The ricotta garlic sauce just didn't quite taste right. The cornicone was also super chewy and hard to eat. I would call this pizza consumable, but not enjoyable. The good thing is I would say the pizza is enough for two people. The total ended up at roughly 28 per person at the end, which with the appetizer isn't terrible. Overall, I would rather go to a lot of other places for pizza. 6/10

The pizza itself is actually pretty good, which is why I kept coming back and really wanted to support this small business. Unfortunately, the customer service and wait times have consistently been disappointing. Tonight, I stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged or greeted me. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. At the very least, customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they walk in. I genuinely hope they improve the service side of things because the food has potential, the bar vibes they've created are pretty cool as well and I'd love to be able to give this place a better review in the future.

If that line is intimidating or wet (think rain!) then duck inside to Pizza and Pasta Bar for a delicious meal. While there we met the owners Bruno and Goli who were helping out behind the counter. They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. Now looking back though I wish I had gotten one of their Turkish dishes as I would have liked to try their lahmacun and read another Yelpers review and this place is supposed to have the best Turkish lahmacun in the US. Oh well, I guess I will be back! The woman heated up my slice and after a few minutes, it was ready. I took my slice and went to sit outside near Pioneer Square so I could be outside and people watch. Pizza was tasty and solid, but the crust was too dry. I have a feeling the slice wasnt the most fresh, so thats why the crust was a bit dry. But, if you know me, I do jot like soggy pizza (I mean - who does??), so a bit drier isn't too big an issue. The rest of the slice was good. Slice of pizza and a diet coke came to close to $9. Gosh things are so expensive now. They do have a special of 2 slices for $8.99 but I couldnt eat two slices. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
