If I could choose 0 stars for my experience with Oral Surgery Partners, I absolutely would. Unfortunately, this visit was prompted by a referral from my Dentist (whom I love), but the overall experience has been that unprofessional that I feel compelled to share my experience. I set an appointment with the MB office and completed the new patient forms upon arrival - fairly normal thus far. I was called back into their front "consultation" room and upon sitting down, I was told by the intaking staff that they needed new imaging of my teeth for the evaluation, which I promptly denied because they already had it - remember, I'm a referral from the dentist (next door to their Redondo Beach office) and my understanding is my dentist refers a lot of clients to them, including sharing client information (i.e., charts, images, etc.), which I had to sign off on. I'm glad I denied it, because I'm sure they would've tried to bill me for that unnecessary service as well. The intaking staff again tried to tell me they needed imaging, which I again denied. She left the room annoyed and I could hear her complaining to other staff that I had denied the request, which is when I heard the Doctor (Dr. Mardirosian I believe) walk up and inquire. After a brief interaction, the Doctor walked into the room, pulled up my information and images (so they do have them) and asked why I was in. I briefly explained who referred me and why - he quickly looked at my images, asked another question or two, and proceeded to tell me why I wasn't a candidate for their services. Great, no problem - the entire interaction lasted at most 2-3 minutes. I grabbed my stuff, asked the front desk about any outstanding payment (which they said they would follow up on), and I was on my way. Now the fun begins. I received a bill a couple weeks later and to no surprise, my insurance was not covering the "specialty" visit - however, the surprise is what I'm being billed $200+ for...COMP ORAL EVAL, NEW/ESTABLISHED PT. - $200+ and Consult Other - $0. Weird, that didn't make sense because 1). I was not given a COMP (comprehensive) ORAL EVAL - no one even looked in my mouth - and 2). I was told I would not be ESTALISHED as a NEW PT. I did understand Consult Other, as I did spend time with the Doctor, but rightfully so it was listed at $0. I called in, pressed the button for billing, left a VM asking for someone to call me back. This happened 2 more times. I finally received a call back after the 3rd VM on 9/8 from billing. The woman seemed pleasant enough, "I got your VM and wanted to return your call", at which I commented I had left multiple (but why cry over spilled milk) and jumped into my confusion as to why I was being billed. This is where her tone shifted, "You need to pay for the doctor's time", which I understand, but I continued to remind her of points ^ 1 & 2, confirming those items did not happen. We went back and forth for a minute, making zero progress, when I asked to her most recent point she was trying to make, "So given your Doctor spent 2 minutes with me, his time is worth about $100+ per minute?", to which she responded, "Absolutely, you need to pay for the services provided". It was at this point that I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere with whom I was speaking with and asked for a supervisor. She continued to try and make her point, and I again stated I no longer wanted to speak with her and was asking for a supervisor to contact me. That was almost 3 weeks ago (today is 9/26) and I still have not received a call. Let me be clear, I have no problem paying the $200+ fee - I could pay it today with no issue and move on with my life. However, what bothers me is being made to feel like a walking-billable-opportunity for this practice to turn a quick profit with little to no work being done. Let me remind you, I was a referral, and in my business, referrals are treated with a little extra attention because it's a reflection of the referring business/expertise as well - they didn't care, which stinks because it makes you wonder if they care at all. read more

What an amazing experience! No one really wants to get their wisdom teeth removed, but if it has to be done, I highly recommend Dr. Joshua Wohlgemuth. We initially went to get my college aged daughter checked out and found that one of her wisdom teeth roots was growing very close to a nerve. So, she ended up choosing a procedure that removes the crown without risking damage to the nerves. In spite of this extra complication, the surgery was successful and Dr. Wohlgemuth was there all along patiently explaining things to us and giving us confidence in the procedure. Everything went so well that I ended up bringing my younger daughter to the office to get her wisdom teeth checked out soon afterwards. Fortunately, her roots had not yet grown close enough to the nerve yet, so she could go forward with a standard removal procedure. Again, everything went smoothly, and the staff were great! What an amazing experience here. My elementary school aged son had to have 2 teeth extracted. This can be quite a nerve racking experience for both parent and child. But the staff was phenomenal which helped put us both at ease. The Manhattan Beach office is really nice (& plays great music haha) and they are doing well with COVID-19 protocols. They run on schedule and we did not have to spend a long time waiting at any point in the experience. I felt fully informed during the process including what to do once we returned home and the procedure was over. This review is for their newest and second location in Manhattan Beach. I recently had all four wisdoms teeth pulled by Dr. Mardirosian and the entire process was painless. From the moment arriving to the newly remodeled office, the staff took every precaution to make sure i felt safe and comfortable. They will do temperature checks at the door, all staff wears masks, they have hand sanitizer everywhere and even small bottles for you to take with you. Susanna was able to answer all the questions i had pre surgery and put me at ease to my nervousness. Dr M did an excellent job explaining the process before i was put to sleep and gave me absolute confidence in him that i would be taken care of. I had been dreading getting my wisdom teeth out for quite a while (all4). I have intense anxiety when it comes to any type of medical procedure, and I had never been put under, so I was TERRFIED. The kind of terrified where you're crying and hyperventilating the night before. The staff was so understanding of my anxiety and helped me breathe through the tears in the office. Dr. Mardirosian explained everything to me as if it was his 10,000th time explaining it, and I instantly knew I was in safe hands. Very very competent. I had a really bad tooth infection due to an impacted wisdom tooth and had been waiting for far too long, ensuring the pain and was desperate to have it removed. Otherwise, I would not have chosen this place over any others. Trent Westernoff was probably the most condescending and humiliating doctor I have had the displeasure of meeting. He made multiple, repeated comments about my mouth and the size of my mouth even though I expressed discomfort at his comments. He was also not very informative and dismissive about my concerns, even though I had told him that this was my first oral surgical experience. Even though this was almost 2 years ago now that I was in his office, the incident I experienced still impact my willingness to go see other dentists and oral surgeons. I had a great experience at Oral Surgery Partners with Dr Josh. I had an infection in a root canal molar #30 (it's a big molar). It had to be extracted and 3 months later an implant had to be put in. I was expecting a lot of pain when that tooth was extracted because it was a big one and it wasn't loose. Dr Josh extracted it without issue. I came back 3 months later and Dr Josh put in the implant without issue. I was so relieved. I also want to mention that Jared was in the room with me and assisted Dr Josh when my implant was put in and he was so so nice. There were some great people who assisted when my tooth was extracted at the Redondo Beach office. I wish I had written down their names. Great experience. The front desk assistants as well as Courtney made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I am very grateful for my experience there. Terrible. I went in to get my wisdom teeth out and a few weeks later I feel a hard ball on the side of my jaw. I went in and they told me it might be cancer and my mom and I started freaking out. Well I had to go into surgery again with them and we found out that there was puss and my wisdom tooth removal was infected and they said it was their fault. How difficult would it be to treat people as patients who needs treatment instead of transactions $? My tooth and gums have been aching for weeks now and recently became too painful that I was referred to Oral Surgery Partners in Manhattan Beach. As soon as I came to the front desk they told me that I did not fill out the form that they sent over, which is not true. Fortunately I took a picture of the signature page and the page that indicated that it was completed. After that they looked again and found it. Second they have lost the referral from my doctor. Due to this they asked me to pay several hundreds for x ray which is not necessary because my doctor had sent it to them. It's not my fault nor my doctor, they are unorganized and couldn't find it. Nobody asked me how I am feeling, or even a simple how are you? My schedule was 7 AM but it was 9 AM and they haven't performed any treatment on me. I didn't take medication that morning because I was scheduled to see them. I was stuck in a negotiation room for about 2 hours in pain and again nobody asked me how I was. The video for the treatment wouldn't start and the pricing was all mixed up and I was told that it wasn't right. It was very confusing. They were recommending a procedure that has a significant cost, and wouldn't treat me until they take my payment. I saw another surgeon previously and their rates were lower. I knew they were over priced but I still decided to go with their recommendation. I gave them my card, all their machines to take my payment wasn't working. Now they blamed my card. The card that I use all the time, always work and have plenty to pay. It is worse than any time share meeting that I have ever attended because I felt trapped, scolded and in so much pain. I have a good PPO insurance so this procedure should have been covered. So I went out and told them to just please proceed with the original plan. They finally found a working machine and took my payment. After that they completed the procedure. Hope that I recover and experience no complications. I understand that you are in an affluent area and may have gotten away with these unnecessary fees to many. This is not right. My experience there is so great! Dr. Martin Mardirosian was the best, he gave me the risk about pulling my wisdom tooth. No dentist would want to take this risk, but I wasn't gonna live with that tooth for another day! I wanted to wait a week after my procedure to give them a review , I went into this office for wisdom teeth removal and hearing the stories from friends and family members on recovery had me feeling super anxious, but I am happy to say my recovery has been a breeze. This was the best experience I've ever had with a dentist or with an oral surgeon I've had two other teeth extracted and this procedure was smooth, and painless. I am now 24 hours post and I haven't had any pain with the help of a single Tylenol. I slept fine with little to no swelling which I'm going to attribute to Dr Mardirosian's skills, state of the art technology, equipment, and, a unique blood clot procedure - a painless blood draw and then they create a blood clot in a test tube and place it on the extraction hole which would normally take a week for my body to create. I was told it aids healing!) And WOW!!, this morning I can't believe I had my tooth extracted yesterday! I do days of research when it comes to choosing medical care, and I wasn't mistaken with choosing Dr. Mardirosian. He is kind, gentle, patient.
