She does all the tests herself. She is an A+ listener, responsive, sincere, positive, sweet, and really helpful. No wonder her staff is great. It starts with her. I have referred my husband to this practice and I am confident in referring more patients to her. -- Very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable staff! Alyssa was thorough in handling my prescription glass requirement, right to the time that they handed the pair off to me. It's the little things like the sticker to check pupillary distance. She had me try the pair on with those still on and then tired again without. Alyssa, the receptionist, also was helpful in checking out my prescription records from a previous optical clinic. I did not rate 5/5 because I believe there is always room for improvement but this palce comes pretty close to the ideal.

I was very happy to find a new optometrist and didn't anticipate returning for a second visit so quickly. Within a few days of my appointment I got something in my eye when walking outside in the wind. I finally called several days later when it became even more irritated and they worked me in the same day. Dr. McMahon found a grain of sand had stuck itself to my eye and said next time to not hesitate calling to come in for a check. It was such a relief to get it out and they were so awesome to get me scheduled same day to come in when I called. My daughter needs a new optometrist and I know who I'll be sending her to! I highly recommend Dr. McMahon and appreciate how considerate and professional both she and her practice is.

Very poor customer service. I went in to get my yearly exam and got glasses. The prescription…read moreended up being off so I needed to get the lenses replaced. But I had broken the frames so I was willing to pay for the frames I just needed the lenses replaced. What happens and I wasn't able to get back there and I actually completely forgot about them. So when I called to ask about where we were in the process they told me I needed to bring in my broken frames in order for the lab to make a new glasses. What? I obviously don't have the broken frames. No one told me this information the first time I went. And the girl on the phone kept saying well since it's been so long (about six months) what does that matter? My prescription is good for a year and the prescription was incorrect so either way I still needed a replacement but they told me I would have to pay full price for the frames and the lenses. The girl on the phone was not helpful. Just very disappointed. I will not be returning there. On the other hand the doctor was very nice and helpful. Was able to see me in short notice.

Self-care is important though and my yearly eye appointment was past due... my supply of contact lenses running low. I made my appointment, donned my mask, and drove to the serene and very green town of Rehoboth. Unsure what to expect, I felt very comfortable with the precautions in place to keep both patients and providers safe. For a service where you essentially have to touch your eyes (for you contact wearers), feeling comfortable with the lowered risk in this sort of environment was huge. Cristina is a provider I feel that I can whole-heartedly trust with my eye care, hence why I switched to this location. She listens to your concerns, is very personable, and I leave my appointments knowing I have received individualized top-notch care. Customer service was fabulous. They gave me prescriptions for an eye condition that seriously needs to be treated or I would lose eye sight and yet they never bother to work with the insurance to obtain approval for that drug forcing me to see another doctor so I can get treated. Last time they gave me a new prescription (I have stigmatism) that I could not wear. When I look at a square object it becomes so distorted that it is almost a diamond. I called in the morning and asked for an appointment, because I was seeing a really big floater in…read moremy right eye and since I am very nearsighted, I wanted to make sure that it was just a floater and nothing serious. I was told that they don't have any availability and the next appointment would be in 4 months. All they could do was write down my number and call me in case of a cancellation (they never called). Luckily, I called another ophthalmologist practice and the receptionist there knew that a big floater combined with heavy nearsightedness could be something serious, so she gave me an appointment within an hour. It turned out it wasn't a floater, but a tear in my retina and I needed emergency laser surgery that same afternoon. I was told it that it was a good thing that I came in that same day, because had I waited any longer it could have turned into a detached retina. I cannot fathom how an ophthalmologist practice does not know that a big floater in very nearsighted people can mean a retinal tear or detachment and therefore is considered an emergency. I have never encountered a medical practice that did not make availability for emergencies or at least told the patient calling with such urgent symptoms to seek medical help elsewhere that same day. Maybe it was for the best that this office didn't have any availability for me, I have serious doubts now about their competency.
