But, when I got home with my takeout, I opened the salad and there were literally three pieces of razor-thin shaved prosciutto on top of a huge bed of greens. Three pieces of prosciutto for a $12 salad? It seemed extremely skimpy, and while the salad itself was good, I couldn't justify the price for what I got. Aren't standard protein portions at these healthy quick serve restaurants around 4oz? I had less than 1oz if protein. Is it that hard to serve organic natural food that's good for you, clean and nutritious at a reasonable cost for the consumer? The answer is NO, and modern market is an exemplary establishment paving the way other restaurants ought to follow. Just think if more people realized for about $9 you can get a delicious and filling salad versus the combo meal from BK or McDs? We'd have a lot healthier of a population. I had the Modern Mushroom pizza and while it was a bit heavy on the onions, it was fresh and delicious. The entire menu is very healthy while still including some slightly more indulgent offerings. Food is always pretty decent, but god damn it, this place needs to get CLEANED! Being vegan and my boyfriend is not, we like coming here because there's something for both of us. Food is tasty, and not expensive, and when we're in a hurry or want something fast this has become a go-to. Is super close to his house, also a plus. We usually dine in. The tables are ALWAYS FILTHY! They're full of food from the previous douche bags that have eaten there. People should be courteous enough to clean up after themselves, but I'm a fucking realist, so I know that'll never happen. We've been going to modern market since we discovered it in Colorado! I love that its the healthy version of fast food, but still has some staples that you crave. I usually get half orders so I can get two different things; I'll usually pick a half salad (which are still big) and then a half pizza. I love how health conscious this place is, I wish I could come here everyday. Organic stuff, all sorts of healthy foods, and I love the nutrition facts on the receipts. Plenty of seating, really nice staff, overall great experience. I got a sausage pizza, I was feeling hungry. This was very filling and heavy in protein, so good. I also got the organic kumbacha tea, it's very interesting and apparently a probiotic. It tastes very different honestly and isn't for everyone. I come to this Modmarket quite a bit. It is fairly close to my work and I find that as long as I get there by 11:20 AM I can always get a seat. Getting there after 11:30 AM can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to being able to purchase lunch in a timely fashion. Modmarket is popular, and it is easy to see why. Modmarket consistently does excellent salads. Sure, they make nice sandwiches, and decent soup, and the pizzas have their moments. But, for me, the salads are definitely the best thing on the menu here. Of these, I have tried several, but I always come back to the Flat Iron steak salad and the Farmer's salad with chicken. These are both packed with flavor, very fresh, and the full-size is a good amount of food for lunch. I always appreciate the fact that you can get 10% off your order, with Yelp check in. On nice days, I really enjoy sitting in the few seats outside and catching a bit of sun. The service here tends to be good from the standpoint of putting out your food. If there was one area upon which they could improve, it would have to do with busing your own table. I am not opposed to carrying my tray of dishes to the back. However, the process has become overly complicated and annoying. The area to drop things off is a chokepoint in the flow to rear seating opposite the soda machine. And, sorting everything into a separate area (trays here, silverware there, plates and bowls here, glasses here, trash there, recyclables here, etc.) slows the whole process down and is almost impossible to do if there is more than one person trying to do it at the same time and/or people are trying to get by. I think if one dedicated employee had responsibility for busing the tables it would be much faster and efficient for both the customers and the restaurant itself read more

Honestly, every time I passed this place I took it to be some hip take on Pier 1...wrong! I really dig the concept of this place- affordable, fresh high quality foods, great fast service, and the delicious satisfying outcome! The fact that you can get a half size of almost anything on the menu is fantastic and paves the way to try multiple things plated on your tray (and a great option for sharing.) My favorites so far are Steak salad, BBQ Chicken pizza, the steak plate with two sides- a steal at only $12.00, and the soups are always comforting. I'd like to see more of these pop up, and I have no doubt they will. read more

I'd imagine they want to ensure that you eat, sleep, breathe the menu so you not only are completely sure with your order, but to encourage a running list of items you want to try on your next visit. If that's the plan, then they succeeded. I am already thinking about my next salad from there. Speaking of salads, they have solid selection of greens ranging from kale to spinach to mixed winter greens. The ingredients are abundant and fresh, just as they advertise: 'Farm Fresh Food. Served Fast.' After vacillating between them all, which is made even more difficult by the displayed nutritional facts (because you curse yourself for wanting the one with a tad more calories) I settled on the Superfood Salad: Spinach/kale blend, quinoa pilaf, feta, carrot, almonds, red grapes, champagne vinaigrette. All in all, I do appreciate the nutritional facts boldly placed beneath each dish. The salad is assembled quickly and you're on your way! However the dining in option seems breezy and easy, too. You can also add protein (chicken, steak, tofu, etc.) for a little bit extra. Their salads come in two sizes- small and large. The small is the size of a regular salad and plenty of food. The large is huge. Unless you have a major appetite, go for the smaller portion. The employees are super cheerful and prices are reasonable. A salad with protein added will set you back around $7. Your food is usually ready in about 5-10 minutes (although the flatbreads may take a bit longer to bake). Make sure you use the Yelp check-in offer for 10% off your meal! I recently started visiting Modmarket by my work. It is a quick, fresh, healthy lunch. It usually is pretty busy around lunch time, so I typically order ahead of time for take out. It is a painless transaction. The food is always fresh and hopping with flavor. I love their pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. I typically get half a sandwich and a side salad. I enjoy making my own salad with their many choices of fresh, high-quality ingredients and their delightful, homemade salad dressings. The chipotle steak sandwich is awesome and I highly recommend it. A nice bonus is that they display the calories of their food on their menu and your receipt. Decided to try something new on a whim and yelp led me to a great place. This is a neat little place with lots of space/tables to sit and relax. They serve salads, sandwiches, pizzas and cool organic sodas/drinks. The service people are quick, nice and super helpful. So disappointing! I love Modern Market, but this location just can't seem to get their act together. I recently got a Flatiron salad, and the steak was so over cooked it was dry and gross. The potatoes were so undercooked they were crunchy. Even the Rice Krispie treat for dessert was so salty it was inedible. I figured I must've caught them on a bad night so I tried them again. This time the steak was horribly over cooked and the potatoes were left off entirely! Stick to other locations, this one is not worth the money. read more

Out of all the various fast casual restaurants that have been popping up around town lately, Modmarket is consistently my go-to stop for fresh and healthy meal choices. The local chain's transparency in the nutritional content of their menu is what draws me back every single time (the cool coupon you get at the bottom of your receipt for your next visit doesn't hurt either). The food is reasonably priced at around $10 and is made fresh to order. The salads and sandwiches have been exceptional every time I've been in, showing that healthy can also definitely be tasty. The portions are just perfect for a full stomach but not to the point where you are overstuffed and can hardly walk. The modern feel plus the friendly people adds a liveliness to the whole space and has made my experiences here a happy one. read more

So I stand corrected, 'cause it turns out it's a very cool, fast/casual, healthy eating, Boylan's natural soda, delicious salad-sammie-entree plates, beer/wine in a cooler, kinda restaurant, that's got a semi-industrial bright fresh atmosphere and very nice workers. Here's what the Modmarket folks say about themselves (and I think I actually agree:): "Modmarket seeks to change your expectation of what a $10 meal can be. On our second visit my husband and I shared the Arugula pizza (with prosciutto, Gorgonzola and sliced pears. The crust, super-thin and slightly charred (not burnt) on the bottom. Perfect ratio of Gorgonzola, pears and prosciutto, topped with fresh arugula. I could have eaten the whole thing...but alas I had to share. We also had the Roman Salad most of which we ended up taking home. The salads are huge and well worth the price. The chicken in our salad was hot off the grill, chopped into small chunks. Lots of croutons and Parmesan shavings. I wasn't really feeling the love for the sliced cucumbers (strange flavor with the rest of the ingredients) and I thought the Caesar dressing needed a bit more punch (more garlic perhaps) but overall a very good salad, and definitely a meal by itself. I had not eaten at Modern Market for almost 3 months because of COVID. Today I ordered 2 salads for pickup, the Market Cobb and my old standby, the Thai Coconut salad, which I'm saving for dinner. I ordered thru the app, and the process was pretty straight forward. My order was ready at the time promised, and it was sitting on table arranged alphabetically by first name. There was plenty of distancing from the staff and the pickup process was very organized. I've only eaten the Market Cobb so far and it was totally awesome. I loved the asparagus, watermelon radishes, and of course, the scallion ranch dressing . My only suggestion would be to chop up the prosciutto more because I'm lazy. But otherwise the salad was really delicious. I hadn't realized how much I missed the great salads at Modern Market the last few months. I will definitely be back soon. read more

I have ordered from Glendale Mod Market a LOT, I am a Mod Market Gold Member. After two messed up orders from the 16th st and Champa location, I have come to appreciate how great the Glendale location is. I recommend ordering directly from their site vs a 3rd party, you can get loyalty rewards, and there is free delivery over $35, and they sometimes run specials for free delivery for over $15. I would say the Glendale location gets my delivery order correct about 98% percent of the time, the portions are well sized, toppings aren't skimpy, and everything tastes great. Try the Wintergreen salad with additional bacon or chicken. SO good. Something about that goat cheese with walnuts, green apple shavings, tangy dressing, savory potatoes and sweetness of the dates.
