This place is essential! I wanted to try a little bit of everything so a friend & I ordered the Mac & cheese, basil chicken sandwich, margherita pizza, and the green chicken chili. All of it was very tasty. The only one I could've done without was the pizza- nothing special. I was a little bummed though that online advertises all soups, however you can only get the seasonal soups- which are still good but I really wanted to try the tomato basil soup. WOW was I thrilled to find Modern Market for my lunch today. I just landed at DFW from San Diego and was. It sure where I was going to be able to eat as I am gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free and organic. Now in San Diego, that's not a problem..I was too sure about Dallas. I found Modern Market on Yelp. Lynette, the young lady at the front was super helpful and good- natures and helped me find the many options I had with my dietary choices. This place is the worst when it comes to customer service. I've ordered through them 2 times now. The 1st time they didn't give me the sides I had ordered and instead put the wrong ones in. No big deal, if happens. This time I didn't get all of the items I had ordered. I called the store # provided to me in my confirmation email and there were no options to speak with someone besides placing a Togo order. The woman answered the phone asking when I'd like to pick up. I explained I had already ordered but there were no options to speak with an actual person and just wanted a partial refund. She said "Ummm, okay. Let me umm transfer you to my ummm...manager". I proceeded to be on hold for 25 minutes and I finally hung up because I don't have time to sit on the phone all day. Three stars for right now but will update once I try more food because I feel like this place has potential. Tried two pizzas; bacon and corn and hot honey (I think)? Both were a good sized amount. Wish there were more corn and bacon on the bacon and corn and the cheese separated pretty quickly but with fresh ingredients it may be expected. It also needed more sauce. The hot honey was good and the sauce was tomatoey and light. We also got the garlic mash and it was DELICIOUS but I wish I could say the same for the Mac. Oh man was it bland and dry; absolutely horrible. Luckily my husband is a garbage disposable and will eat anything because it was going to be trashed. Tried the prickly pear kombucha and although good, at 4$, just get a 2$ house wine or $5 beer. Seems like a better bang for my buck lol. Oh customer service was fantastic though so props to them. All in all, the food was decent and customer service was great. 3 stars because the food is a tad overpriced in my opinion at just okay. There are many choices, large or small, meat or no meat, etc. all while there is a long line of people in line behind you who know how to order. Full service prices at self serve style. Let's start by saying, the service industry peeps at this location are friendly. Specifically the lady taking orders on 6.9.2017 during lunch time and I apologize for not getting her name but she was a delight. Also, love how the receipt lists your nutrition intake for that meal - great for us myfitnesspal.com weirdo's. I ordered the Chicken Chili soup which was spicy and hot, very tasty. Also, had the half sandwich which was the BLT - the bacon is incredible and they could have put another slice on it as you didn't get much of the bacon from all the avocado. My dislike on this sandwich was the bread, it is way too hard and with this sandwich, it would be better on a different type bread. If there were options on the bread, it is not clear and no one asked me if I had a bread preference. I ended up having avocado with tomato toast while eating the little bit of bacon as a side. My favorite was their diet soda, not sure if it has caffeine in it but the flavor was spectacular. Love it and hope to find this at more places in the future. As for pricing, it seems a little high because you don't get a lot of food but it is comparable and to me better than Zoe's serving sizes vs price comparison. Marissa was very kind and genuine and offered to deliver my meal personally. 15 minutes I had my lunch with a few extra goodies. At the end of the day we only have the last few moments to remember and what happens last is usually what sticks. The level of customer service completely made up for any mistake. I came to the place twice (the receipt is a 10% discount) to get some good healthy meals. My first time was for a to go order for a meal at work. I had ordered the Chicken Breast, Rosemary Sweet Potato Mash, and Ginger Maple Roasted Veggies. Even though I ate it at luke warm temp (it was a long day before I could eat) the food was still good. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the sweet potato mash is awesome! I wasn't too fond of the veggies, but that could be due to it not being hot and only luke warm. The second time I went I ate inside for dinner. Its quiet inside so it was peaceful. This time I ordered the Ranch Steak, Arugula & Blue Cheese Salad, and of course the Rosemary Sweet Potato Mash (couldn't pass on those). The steak is cooked between medium and medium well. Plenty of pink in the middle. It was tender and even though I wish they provided a steak knife, the steak was still able to be cut with a regular knife. The salad doesn't look like the photo from the website, but it was good. And the sweet potatoes were even better than before. The receipt gives you all the nutritional values for each item you order and then for the entire meal. Showing you the calories or what not for your daily amounts in percentages. And remember the receipt does give you a 10% discount on your next visit within the week. The best thing I was impressed with, was while I was sitting in my car after eating, the cashier came outside and opened the door for one of patrons who walking with a walker. Not many restaurants like this would do this, especially if they don't have a host/hostess. Its a great spot for a quick healthy meal. Score! read more

Good healthy food! The breakfast me and my girls got was good, but the potatoes tasted a little old and left an after taste like they were sitting in oil and just reheated. Also the silverware and plates had all these dirty spots on them so we had to ask for plastic. The eggs where perfection and so was the waffle!
