Good Day from Texas, no smile, no welcome to modern market "may I help you" One young lady was bent over as if she was sick and the other just looked at me and asked me "Are you ready to order" When my To-Go order was given to me, I had no dressing as I asked for. I had no fork, I think that comes with a To-Go order. I went to the bathroom and stepped in a huge water puddle the bottom of my pants are now wet. It was slippery. I did not care for my visit here. My husband liked his food, though, so I'm giving it three stars. I want to start off by saying that I'm not docking points because they were busy and it was hard to find a table, or because they were clearly understaffed, all of which is true- this is the P&L so can't expect much. My husband got the Chile Steak Sandwich and enjoyed it. I got a build your own salad, and that's where I first encountered an issue- the only menu that told me what I could put in the salad was behind the register, I had to ask for it and then felt rushed on deciding since there was a line behind me. In addition, not all the options are even on that menu- I said aloud "Oh, steak isn't an option," since it wasn't on the list. The cashier looked at me like I'd grown another head and told me it was. Okay. Moving on. Fast forward to the food arriving. The steak was in large strips, NOT bite sized pieces, which would have been fine if they had left me more than a fork with which to eat it. I could barely see any dressing on the salad. I found someone and asked for more dressing and a knife to use to cut my steak. I specifically said "to cut my steak". I got a plastic knife. The fork itself was metal, but as a steak cutting knife they gave me plastic??? It was not successful. The ranch dressing was.... Not ranch, or at least not in any discernible way. They described it as "scallion ranch", which sounded great, but ended up, in taste and consistency, being more like "dill milk". Not everyone dislikes dill as much as I do, but I couldn't detect any scallion, or any ranch. They didn't ask how I wanted the steak cooked, which is okay I guess, but not everyone would agree. It came out very rare. Now, I'm a medium rare gal and I can deal with rare, but just be aware. In addition, the steak was cold when it arrived, which is odd and means to me not freshly cooked, and there was gristle throughout- even if I had been able to cut it into smaller pieces rather than trying to bite off chunks like a rabid hyena, it would have been difficult to chew. My husband also had that problem with the steak in his sandwich. I did like the croutons, but it wasn't enough to save this experience. I wanted so badly to enjoy this and it had so much potential, but things I'd classify as stupid mistakes just ruined it for me. read more

I was looking for a quick plant-based lunch in the P&L area, in modern eatery was a short walk from my hotel. The restaurant is clean and we lit, which welcomes you into the space. This is the type of place where you order at the register and are giving a number for your food to be delivered to the table if you're dining in. I visited just before 11 AM and ordered lunch just based on the menu options that seemed appetizing. However, it took my pizza a little longer to come out than I anticipated. So, while waiting, I changed my dine in order to a to go order. The worker was apologetic and made sure that my pizza came out box to go. I did not open it until I was back at the hotel, and was surprised to see that the toppings don't didn't go all the way to the edge of the crust. The taste was just okay for me. I actually enjoyed the crust more than the toppings. I'd go here again to try different items on the menu. read more

Extra star for having gluten free bread for the sandwiches with only $1 upcharge. I got the Aleppo Chicken Stack on GF bread. The moz was great and there was lots of chicken. I would have expected the lemon zaatar aoili to add a bit more flavor than it did. The biggest problem is the chicken thigh, which is fat slices and chunks that don't work in a sandwich. The GF bread was soft and tasty, but fell apart immediately (I looked crazy trying to eat this). I would return but would ask for the bread to be toasted to give it more structure to support the ingrediants inside. I had to order online and take my food to go (according to the sign on the door) so I can't comment on the staff or service. It would be helpful to get a notification when the food is ready for pickup - which most ordering apps provide. read more

Fresh eats, fun menu and friendly service. When I found out they opened up in downtown, I was excited to give them a try since I've been looking for a fresh and light fare closer to home. The interior is kept simple and clean, lot of (non-alcoholic) beverage options and a good selection of food ranging from salads, to healthy bowls, diverse sandwiches and pizza. I tried their Lemongrass Tuna Bowl which was an accompanied by a lemongrass aioli and chile vinegar that surprisingly balanced each other out quite well. The interior was a pleasant surprise - light, bright, modern - a space I would genuinely want to sit and enjoy my lunch. I love the drink offerings, especially the iced teas. My friend Grace got the salmon caesar and loved it. I had the buddha bowl and subbed chicken for the tofu. It was really good, fresh and healthy tasting. It did take over 20 minutes for my to-go bowl to come out but I'm going to chock that up to it being a brand new location and hope the wait times improve over time! read more

Food is amazing! I highly recommend the BBQ sandwich. However last time I was there I showed up half an hour before they closed (didn't think that was too late) and was told that all they would only serve us one order of salmon and that's it. They said that they threw all the food out already with it still being half an hour before close. As if they're not getting paid to work that last half hour!
