The atmosphere is so nice! She's very accommodating like always! The nicest part is she has hired her staff to be just as talented as her and Vincent!!! I used to come here to get my nails done but I stopped because they started to act like it's a VIP club, they like to turn down customers even though they're never busy they demand that you make an appointment. The owner and his wife are friendly but the rest of them forget about it, they give you this impression that you're an inconvenience to them. There's only one person in this shop that can actually do a great job on nails without making you bleed. I do like their gel selections they have a ton of them and the shop is clean. I've gotten my nails done by every single one of them here before and if you get the young girl I'm sorry she won't give you a neck and shoulder rub like they normally do when you get a manicure. I adopted a new nailshop called victoria nails. Everyone seems to love them. walk ins are welcome they are so friendly and happy no matter how busy they are. They don't send customers away instead they ask if you don't mind waiting and people don't seem to mind cause they're always packed. My friends and I don't ever plan on coming back here at hawaii nails. They need to realize the number one complaint about them is their poor customer service. I loved coming here! I came in for a Paraffin Manicure and it was awesome! Everything was super clean inside and everyone was very nice. I really enjoyed the hot stone arm massage that was included, i'd never done one before and it was great feeling on a slightly chilly day. ;p Just remember to wear a short sleeve shirt if you go for this service, I didn't. I also had a brow waxing service, and it was pretty great. I super happy with results, nicely shaped brows, and no discomfort to my skin afterward. Nothing like going to get your nails done with your girl and the workers were rude (eyerolls and attitude) throughout but we were enjoying our time together. Then at the end the lady charged me $46 for my daughters gel nails! I said what is that for? She said, "your daughter got the full unicorn effect!" Ummmm what? Did someone tell her that? I came here because my regular person is away on vacay. I found this on yelp of course and thought I'd give it a try. Ann is highly praised on the reviews so I asked for her and she is nice. She is super busy but she gave time for me. I made an appointment for another day but I decided to come today instead and Ann still accommodated me. She's fast and efficient. CASH ONLY!!!! That's right they just changed to accepting cash only. 2 weeks ago my sister in law was in town and I wanted to take her to my local nail haunt. I was hesitant to try this salon out with my mother-in-law, due to the rough reviews here, but we had a pleasant experience! I wish we got the names of our technicians. A young gentleman worked on my full coffin set while my mom-in-law had two ladies working on her mani/pedi. My technician was very fast, although did not seem very interested in conversation with me. I appreciated how fast he was working, however I would have preferred more attention to detail on his part. My mother-in-law loved her services & had no complaints. For my full coffin set with color-changing nail polish ($5 upcharge) & my mother-in-law's pedicure (she did add a callus removal service and hot stone service) & her manicure with plain gel polish, it was $100 total. A bit expensive for me, but I suppose that price value is up for interpretation. Overall, we are satisfied with the finished products! Extra notes: Definitely recommend calling ahead to ensure they have a spot for you upon arrival because we did see a couple customers get turned away due to the wait for walk-ins. Thankfully, we did call ahead for our first experience at the salon and they did see us immediately upon arrival. They also have a loyalty card for $5 off once you get all the stamps. read more

I decided to give this place a try after reading some reviews and let me tell you they are amazing!!! The place is very clean, cute and just like the name MODERN! I needed a fill and asked for Krystal. She is such a perfectionist and took her time. I went in at 6:20 on a Tuesday and the wait time wasn't long. And even though they closed at 7 she was not rushing whatsoever. I was out of there by like 7:30. After she applied gel I accidentally got a little bubble and without me telling her she fixed it. I really liked that she made sure the shape was perfect and the acrylics weren't thick. Also pricing is not bad 29$ for a fill I can do. I can tell their number one priority is good customer service. While having the most awesome pedi, another girl asked about colors for my nails. She noticed I was indecisive, so she painted each nail of a color I chose so I can see what they would look like. Now for my nails. I needed a fill. I was very unhappy with my last tech from another establishment, my nails looked like I had bricks on them. I was prepared to have full removal and start over. The lady who's at the front desk, you ask her a question and she has to ask the guy before giving you an answer. Very weird!!!! Also, there was two older ladies who were complaining how they don't clean the tub areas of where our feet go, they just continue to place bags and not even spray them down & all the dirty water from costumers feet still get into the tub. My pedicures have lasted for 3 weeks - a month looking just as shiny as they did when I left the shop. Even though I live in San Bernardino, when I am able to I make a point to come here for a mani and pedi. Went here about a month ago to check out the new owners. I got a full set of gel acrylics, they came out super nice, and lasted for 3 weeks before I had to go and get them filled. Was super happy with them. However, I went back to get them filled last Friday and the girl doing them hurt my fingers and left me with a few cuts. I wasn't complaining because they came out looking nice, but they were only on for about a week until nails started popping off. My thumb nail came off today and I see that my actual nail is yellow and has a fungus (also quite painful). Liked this place at first but now I don't plan on going back. I have been getting acrylics for years and have never had this happen to me. Super bummed because now I have to find somewhere new to go. read more
