Dr. Bujor is a dream of a doctor!! I have been her patient since 2012 and after years away due to insurance changes I was finally able to return to her care and I am so grateful. As someone who is very shy with a history of trauma & health issues, finding a doctor I feel comfortable with & not like a burden has been tough. Dr. Bujor is kind patient and deeply compassionate. She takes her time listens without ever making you feel rushed or dismissed and makes you feel truly seen and understood. She not only addresses gynecological concerns but cares about your whole health including autoimmune and mental well being! She was eager to help me feel better. Her office is so beautiful and comfy. And her staff are kind and even moments like blood work felt comfortable. The concierge model is absolutely worth it for the level of care she provides. She is a next level doctor and she deserves a next level system that helps both her well being and her patients. She's able to take more time with her patients which is amazing for everyone involved. I was able to pay in installments for the membership which is so great for anyone wondering or on the fence for making the change. I was prepared and happy to book farther advance in the year because she's worth it, but booking was SO easy, smooth and quick, their system couldn't be better. I was able to get in the same month, they did my labs same day and got me in for an ultrasound two days later. I left my visit feeling a huge sense of peace. She gave me a clear care plan, and didn't leave me feeling lost or confused. I sat in my car and teared up after because I just felt SUCH relief to be in her care. Total joke , my OB retires with no notice after 18 years and if I want to stay with practice and a new doctor they are charging a concierge fee to see a doctor on top of all the other fees that they bill our insurance. Work on your professionalism. I contacted this office 3 months ago and provided my insurance information. I was given an afternoon appt 4/24/25. I arrived 20 minutes early only to submit my personal information, sit there for about 15 minutes and was told the doctor office was out of my network. I said I wish you all would have told me that when I called 3 months ago for an appointment. I asked the receptionist to call my insurance to verify that. Mind you I had an appointment, but the receptionist told me she had two calls on hold and I would have to wait. I just took my ID and insurance card and left. I did not appreciate the professionalism and the fact this office took my information and insurance information over the phone 3 months ago! I drove all the way to the appointment arrived early, submitted the forms, sat there and was ultimately turned away. Totally wasted my time and wasn't professional in how they handled the situation. I just love Dr. Bujor. My whole pregnancy, I felt absolutely cared for and safe. She is very knowledgeable and personable. I've also seen a couple of the other doctors and they are all amazing. I had some worrying test results while I was in the care of Dr. Allen. She was so kind, professional and reassuring. I was post menopause and felt concern about where this would lead. Called to make an appointment with one of the OB as a first time patient. The scheduling team/front desk was not friendly and very unprofessional: 1. She sighed in front of phone when I asked her to check if there is alternate dates available for that particular provider. 2. She wanted to check if my insurance would cover, I responded I don't have my insurance card with me but I can go to my online portal and provide member ID so she could look in the system. She refused and asked me to check myself. 3. Since this is for first time patient, she requested that all the medical records to be fax to them only, not to bring the day of or emailing. Really can't find out if this is true or if it is because the front desk was not willing to help. I ended up calling another office and they were willing to help and they are totally ok with me bringing the medical records the day of. They were also happy to check my insurance membership ID and etc. This location might have very good OB, but definitely the worst front desk I've ever experienced. read more

I called in January of this year for an appointment. I had heard great things about the doctors, I was not given a an appointment until 03/25. Because I heard such great reviews on the doctors, I decided I could wait. They asked what insurance I had and we booked the appointment. March comes and I receive a call from the office stating that they needed to reschedule me. I had already requested the day off for my appointment, but did not want to miss my chance so I said yes. The day of my appointment as I am driving TO the appointment I get a text message from the office stating that my appointment has been cancelled. Again, I am actively driving to the office! I immediately call the office and ask what happened. The receptionist stated that the doctor called out sick but would be accommodating the appointments that had been canceled. I was upset but again, wanted to go to this office so I asked when I could be rescheduled. The receptionist stated she would call me back. I never received a call back. I called the next day and they said they didn't have any appointments as of yet, but they would call me back. Again, I did NOT receive a call back. I called back a 3rd time to try and reschedule and once again explain that my appointment was canceled and I was told that I would be accommodated as it was not my fault. This receptionist then said before booking she wanted to take down my insurance information. She looks at my insurance and then proceeds to tell me that their office no longer takes my insurance! That due to me not being in their network they would not be seeing me. When I asked her why they scheduled me and made me lost 2 months of waiting she was quiet and had no response. My co worker who recommended me this place and has the SAME insurance I do, is still a patient though. So I am unsure if I was lied to because they didn't want to reschedule or if they really let me wait 2 months for an appointment that was never going to happen. I will add that each time I called I was kind and polite. I know things can change. But 2 months of back and forth it ridiculous. Unfortunately I cannot say if the doctors are as good as they say because their front staff is so atrocious. Reading these reviews I see I am not alone in having issues with the front staff. I really wanted to like this office; but unfortunately, I am very disappointed in them. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review because I try to be as understanding as possible...but too many things went wrong here. First, I called in June to schedule for a Nexplanon removal towards the end of August. I receive a call about two weeks before my appointment that they scheduled it with the wrong doctor that does not perform Nexplanon removals, so my appointment would be postponed for a week for the next available nurse practitioner. I accepted that, and also informed them that I would like a Nexplanon reinsertion at the same time as the removal. So they sent me the form I had to fill out to get approval from my insurance. I sent that form to them on August 11. They said it could take a couple weeks for them to approve and have the Nexplanon sent to them. That was fine with me. So, I changed my appointment to September 17 instead to make sure there was plenty of time to have the Nexplanon available. I called on September 4th to follow up about the Nexplanon, and they said Joanne who is in charge of the birth control would give me a call about it. No one called me. I call on September 8th to follow up, but Joanne is not there and the lady who I spoke with said she would get back to me that day or the next. I call back the next day because my appointment was only a week away, so of course I am concerned. She sounded upset that I called back again, but I told her my concern. They finally told me on September 9th that the form to request the Nexplanon was never sent, so they just sent it. I was furious because my appointment was scheduled for September 17th, and it takes a couple weeks to get approved. I wanted this done asap because I was starting a new job in October and my current one expired that month of September. Of course, I continued to call every day until there was confirmation that my insurance received it. Now, my new appointment date was October 7th. I went in and saw the NP. Fyi, I have had this Nexplanon placed two times before with no issues. Three years ago, the NP i had removed it and replaced it in less than 5 minutes. This NP was very nice, and I liked her personality. As far as my Nexplanon, it took her a few minutes to remove it because she was having trouble. I don't like to look at what is being done to my arm, so I trusted she would tell me if I had a bigger cut that usual. She placed the new one, and wrapped my arm. She instructed me to remove the pressure dressing in 24 hours, and the steri strips in 2-5 days. So i did just that. My arm was so sore that day, more than it ever has been in the past. When I removed the steri strips on the third day, I was so upset to find a hole in my arm that was bigger than the past two times, and it was still bleeding. I had to buy a special bandage to try to close the cut. 5 days later, the dressing still has some fresh blood after changing it a few hours before. Today, almost a week later, it still hurts. I really wish the NP had told me she made a bigger incision in my arm, so that I could have left the steri strips in longer. The previous two times, my arm was healed within the next 2-3 days. I also never had to redress the wound myself because it was still bleeding. Basically, this experience was terrible. I will never be coming back here. I hope they figure out a better system so that these mistakes are not made again. read more

This office provides the WORST service to its patients. It is impossible to get through when you call. I spent an hour and 45 minutes trying to get through and they closed for lunch. I was trying to get my prescription sent to the pharmacy because the doctor/ staff didn't send it the day I had my appointment. They were also supposed to call me to schedule my next appointment because, at the time, they were unable to tell me what hours the doctor would be available (it was only one month away). They never called me to schedule, I never got my prescription and I immediately switched providers. You can definitely find better service elsewhere. read more

I never leave reviews but I truly wish I could give this office 0 stars. I have been going to modern women's because my mother went and I am beyond fed up with the unprofessionalism of this office!! Every single time you call it will be 15+ minutes EVEN IF YOU ARE FIRST IN LINE! It's as if the front desk workers don't want to work. Dr. Bojur is great but this practice is extremely ridiculous to deal with. They called me twice today, first time no message and i do not have the number saved. Second time was to notify me that I need to reschedule the appointment I made MONTHS AGO and had to take way far in advance because they had no appointments!! Not to mention they once called me numerous times and were very unprofessional and rude saying I had to pay my bill immediately after seeing them, WHICH IS NOT TRUE! This office is horrible and unprofessional. I will be switching after I cancel this appointment. Do not go here they are bullies and extremely disrespectful. Terrible experience overall. FINALLY GOT ON THE PHONE WITH THE FRONT DESK AFTER 25 MINUTES and told them I wanted to cancel my appointment since I needed to reschedule and expressed why I am canceling. The lady on the other end seemed to be annoyed and not care that I am very dissatisfied with my experience AND THEN SHE HUNG UP. To accurately rate Modern Women's Care you really need to give to separate ratings. One for the medical staff and one for the 'office' staff. Dr Allen and Dr Rivas are EXCEPTIONAL! I would give them 5+ stars if I could. The nurses, despite being short staffed are always incredibly helpful and kind and the receptionists when you check-in are pleasant. The schedulers, not sure what their official title is, the people that answer when you call or call you to schedule procedures and align doctor/hospital calendars are AWFUL. The have been rude, short, and insensitive through some of the most emotionally painful experiences of my life. I was in the process of losing my baby and when I asked for an early appt because of nausea and not being able to eat before the appt, the woman on the phone made a huffing noise and let me know how much of an inconvenience it was for her to look for another time (keeping in mind she never asked for my availability in the first place and had scheduled blindly). And when I told her how grateful I would be for her help she responded with "fine, I'll call you back." My mind was blown and I was in tears. She acted like I was scheduling a dental cleaning or something elective. It also happened on another occasion when I called the office to get ahold of my doctor. I had just heard from my perinatal specialist that there were complications and the prognosis was that the baby likely wouldn't make it to term. I was scrambling to figure out next steps and called Modern Women's, told them what was happening, and asked if they could have my doctor call me to align on what I needed to do next. The woman on the phone, in rude inconvenienced tone, said that she cannot leave a message for the doctor and I need to contact her through the online portal and was then dead silent. Again, my mind was blown. Totally fine to tell me the correct "process" but some type of sensitivity training seems to REALLY be needed for these folks. Women coming to this office are frequently going through big life changes and need to be met with kindness, at a minimum, and maybe even a little compassion. Not to mention we're paying A LOT of money for this help and support. Anyways, despite the terrible composure of the schedulers, Dr Allen and Dr Rivas are SO good that I've decided it's worth putting up with. I've just had to prep myself that anytime I need to speak with a scheduler, I need to lower my expectations and thicken my skin. :-/ read more

The staff here and the office is great. Dr. Rivas is an amazing clinician and takes the time no other doctors in my past have ever done. My only complaint is that it takes FOREVER to speak with someone. I spent 30 minutes waiting on the phone in position 1. I left a message several days ago and message was never returned. Maybe they need some help on the phone lines because once I get through the people on the line are SUPER helpful, it just seems like a staffing issue. Help your people! I've been going here for years, literally like 8. Dr. Bujor is an excellent Dr. Very personable and down to earth. She's definitely passionate about women and woman's care, she's relatable, a mom, and a lively active woman. However, about two years (PC) trying to get a call through let alone an appointment in the same quarter is like trying to place a direct call to the White House! My 1st time went to Modern Women's Care was in 2020. Booking appointment was fairly easy & quick, Dr Sharda Bhasin can see me within the week as compare to other places. I told the front desk my copay for OBGYN should be $25 but they insisted it's $30 and hence I was charged $30 to my credit card. 2 weeks later, I received a statement from my insurance company stating that my copay for Modern Women's visit is $25. I then called the office and asked for refund. The front desk said I can use for my next visit but didnt want to issue a refund. In April 2022, I need birth control pills so I went to Modern Women's Care and the $5 finally got applied to my copay. I asked Dr Bhasin for birth control prescription and the doctor said not if I do "an" ultrasound. So I told the front desk that Dr Sharda Bhasin asked me to do "an" ultrasound. Ultrasound was quickly booked and I asked what's the charge for ultrasound. The front desk said $250 and did not check my insurance coverage. I asked "$250 before my insurance coverage? and she said yes that's the rate". Did the ultrasound and went to another appt with Dr Bhasin to reviewed the result. The doctor spent less than 3 min with me and finally gave me birth control prescription. Weeks later, a bill came in and I was charged $480 x 2 (before my insurance coverage) for "2" ultrasounds. I was confused, no one ever said I need "2" ultrasounds and isn't the rate $250? I talked to the manager and she said she will find out and will call me. It's been over 3 months and I still have not received her call. They keep sending me statements and calling me to pay the balance (the portion after my insurance coverage) and I told them I got billed incorrectly it should be $250 x2 not $480. This is so wrong. They can't bill me whatever rate they want. So one day, I called and acted as a new patient looking for a new doctor and ask how much is an ultrasound cost. I have officially found the BEST OBGYN! Dr. Allen is such an amazing and professional doctor! The entire staff at Women's Modern Care made me feel safe and welcomed from the moment I walked in. I arrived at my appointment and was taken into my room within a few minutes. I wish I could remember the nurse who assisted me prior to seeing the doctor, but she was the sweetest. When I first found out I was expecting, I immediately researched a Dr. in the Torrance area and came across Dr. Crystal Lynch. I decided I wanted to try her out and scheduled an appointment. I've had 4 appointments with them so far (1 per month), and they've all been with the nurse practitioner. Granted, Rosemary is wonderful but I have yet to meet the actual doctor and I'm already in my second trimester. When you fill out your new patient paperwork, they make you sign a form stating that you agree to deliver your baby at Torrance Memorial with them or you will have to pay $1,000. This should have been my first red flag. How do you expect people to commit to long term care without even meeting the doctor?? The wait times here are ridiculous. You have to schedule appointments at least 2 months in advance, and even then they aren't with the actual doctor. If you're looking for an office with flexibility I would not recommend them. At some point, they should just stop accepting new patients because they always seem to be extremely overbooked. Getting through to them on the phone is virtually impossible as well. At 5 months pregnant I'm now starting over looking for a new Dr. that I can actually see. read more

Currently going through menopause and inquired about HRT with their office . Was convinced to try the Bioti HRT and upon showing up for the appointment after agreeing is when they mention it wasn't covered by any insurances and charged me $ 400 . That's also when they advised it'll be that price every time . When I was advised of the HRT they were supposed to disclose all info but neglected too . Absolutely not cool . Then made my appointment for 1145 but didn't get to me until an hour later !! Unacceptable. That was an hour of time wasted. read more

First of all, if you are on board with having a scheduled c-section you will receive great care. She is very friendly and upbeat. However, when I originally told Dr. Lynch that I wanted to have natural child birth, she actually laughed at me. I should have seen this for the sign that it was and switched providers at this point. The wait times in the office are RIDICULOUS. Even as the first appointment of the day you have to wait over an hour at times. The Nurse practitioner in the office was wonderful, but the scheduling secretaries and other office staff are outright rude and dismissive. They would make each visit a trial. It is ridiculous trying to get any kind of appointment if you are not pregnant. Don't even try. I had a breast cancer scare and the very rude secretary accused me of faking it to be seen. True story. When I was ready to give birth to my son, Dr. Lynch was unwilling to do anything at all the accomodate my desire to have a natural child birth, and in fact yelled at me when I told her I only wanted to use drugs that were approved by the FDA for certain procedures. Bottom line, if you have fertility issues and don't mind having a scheduled c-section that agrees with Dr. Lynch's busy schedule, she is the doctor for you. However, if you want natural child birth that occurs on your baby's schedule, you need to keep shopping for an OB who will care about what you want, and not how she can force you into a c-section that is convenient for her schedule. read more

I'm a little confused on how many bad reviews this office has but i had a great experience i was having a bad time looking for an office and i finally got a response here they did tell me they couldn't see me until like Nov. i got really bummed out since i needed to see someone ASAP but the receptionist did tell me that they could tried to squeeze me in and she will have to call me back i really didn't get my hopes up thinking they wont called me back which unexpectedly they did i literally got seen right away. when i arrived to my appointment i mean they didn't received me with a smile but they were not rude either they seemed REALLY busy which is understandable i got seen right away and the nurse practitioner Crystal was great and made me feel soooo comfortable. This review does not reflect quality of care. It is a reflection on how the business is managed or not managed at all.They never answer the phone. If you have a billing issue, forget about getting them to return your calls. I literally called every day for two weeks to try to reach the billing department. When I finally reached them, I never heard back about whether they could resubmit the bill to my insurance under the correct code. I received a 1400$ bill from labcorp and it should have been covered under preventive care. I really like the NP's there Crystal and Rosemary, they are amazing. Too bad this office is understaffed and has a horrible billing service.
