They did a great job. Hopefully they will be my new place to go to for the work I need done.

These guys are amazing. Honest, quick, to the point. And not crazy expensive. If your in the area these guys are worth the look.

I live about 280 miles from Dallas, and two of my kids moved to the Dallas/Richardson area to go to…read moreschool and start their careers. They are independent and handle most things on their own, but as a parent, one of the hardest things is being that far away when something goes wrong, especially when it involves their vehicles. Over the past few years, my kids have used Lake Highlands Automotive for everything from oil changes and brake repairs to general mechanical work. Two of my kids have also been involved in wrecks, and that is where this shop really stood out to me. The team at Lake Highlands Automotive went above and beyond to help them through the process and get their vehicles taken care of. Management also took the time to talk with me personally and reassure me that they would look after my kids and help them with whatever they needed. When you're 280 miles away and can't just jump in the truck and be there, that means more than they probably realize. What I appreciate most is how they have treated my kids. They didn't talk down to them, take advantage of them because they are young, or treat them like just another repair ticket. They treated them with respect and, from my experience, the way you would hope someone would treat their own family. I eventually made a trip to Dallas and had the opportunity to meet several members of the Lake Highlands Automotive team in person. They were just as genuine and caring face-to-face as they had been over the phone. I made a point of telling management how much I appreciated them taking care of my family when I was too far away to be there myself. Finding a mechanic you trust is important. Finding one you trust with your kids when you're nearly 300 miles away is something else entirely. I highly recommend Lake Highlands Automotive. They have earned my family's trust, and that isn't something I give lightly.

I keep putting in coolant thinking there is no way there is a leak as I just had it repaired. I go back in after having to put in coolant multiple times. Now it is a hose that is leaking & it will be $350. Extremely ironic that I still have the same issue after this repair. Not very friendly either. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I was told by the technicians that this has happened before at this location, which was concerning to hear. Even more concerning, I was informed that they currently do not have a manager because the previous manager left for another location. When I asked what could be done about the broken dipstick, I was told to "maybe just super glue it back on." A broken dipstick is not a proper repair, and it leaves me unable to easily check my oil level without additional work and expense. While I understand that accidents happen, what matters is how a business handles them. In this case, there was no real solution offered, no accountability taken, and I was still charged full price for the service despite leaving with a damaged vehicle component. Since this happened, my truck is now in the shop and I am currently without a vehicle. I am having to spend upwards of $60 just to get to work, all out of my own pocket, while also trying to pay to fix damage that was caused during their service. The "manager" told me, "I'll put a claim in for you," but I still have not heard from anyone. The entire situation has been unprofessional and clearly careless. What is even more frustrating is that one of the technicians simply moved on to the next vehicle as if nothing had happened. Their slogan is "10-minute oil change," yet I was there for over an hour before they even started working on my truck. The lack of urgency, accountability, and customer service was unbelievable. I hope ownership or upper management addresses these issues, as customers should not have to pay for mistakes made during routine maintenance. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location. I honestly would not trust them with my kids' toy truck if they were the only option left. Pathetic.
