No complaints with the service I received here! My light to change my oil in my truck came on the other day and I don't like to wait too long to change it after the light comes on. I was leaving a nearby ice cream shop and noticed they had no wait, so I pulled in, impressed that I could get an oil change at 7:40 at night. There were a couple hurdles though, so I drove in to see if they could make the hurdles. The biggest hurdle is I have a warranty on my engine that requires me to use Mobil1 Oil, so I had to make sure they had it. Luckily they did! The second hurdle was could/would they take me that close to closing time. The staff here did not even act bothered by that, in fact the genuinely seems grateful I was there! They were so fast, I was blown away when they told me they were done, and had I not been sitting in my car watching them do it, I might have had a hard time believing they could do it that fast! I also learned during this visit they can help you with Windshield Wipers, Air Filters, and Coolant Exchanges, in addition to oil changes. This was my first time visiting a Take 5 Oil Change store, but after this experience I would not hesitate to come here again! read more

recently brought my truck in for an oil change, and during the service the technician broke the handle off my engine oil dipstick. I was told by the technicians that this has happened before at this location, which was concerning to hear. Even more concerning, I was informed that they currently do not have a manager because the previous manager left for another location. When I asked what could be done about the broken dipstick, I was told to "maybe just super glue it back on." A broken dipstick is not a proper repair, and it leaves me unable to easily check my oil level without additional work and expense. While I understand that accidents happen, what matters is how a business handles them. In this case, there was no real solution offered, no accountability taken, and I was still charged full price for the service despite leaving with a damaged vehicle component. Since this happened, my truck is now in the shop and I am currently without a vehicle. I am having to spend upwards of $60 just to get to work, all out of my own pocket, while also trying to pay to fix damage that was caused during their service. The "manager" told me, "I'll put a claim in for you," but I still have not heard from anyone. The entire situation has been unprofessional and clearly careless. What is even more frustrating is that one of the technicians simply moved on to the next vehicle as if nothing had happened. Their slogan is "10-minute oil change," yet I was there for over an hour before they even started working on my truck. The lack of urgency, accountability, and customer service was unbelievable. I hope ownership or upper management addresses these issues, as customers should not have to pay for mistakes made during routine maintenance. I came in for a simple oil change and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, it felt like they were trying to sell me every service possible instead of focusing on what I actually came in for. I brought a coupon, but I was told that customer coupons "don't scan," and they had to use something else. Even after that, the employee continued trying to upsell additional services. After the oil change was completed, they reset my oil life to 100%, but then my car would not start. I kept getting a warning message on my dashboard related to the brakes. The staff seemed confused and unsure about what was going on. Eventually the car did start, but then the oil life suddenly showed 40%, which raised concerns about the quality of the oil used--especially since I paid for the most expensive option. Overall, instead of feeling relieved after maintenance, I left feeling stressed and worried about my car. I will be going back to the dealership for future service. I've seen some other comments on here about it being an expensive oil change. Yes, it is higher than other places but you are paying for the convenience of staying in your car and not having to wait a couple hours like at the dealership. It's well worth the money. I've been to this location twice and this morning, two of my tires were low (I didn't go for an oil change) and they were so nice to get me in and fill up the tires for free. I usually go to the Jiffy Lube for an inspection, but sometimes the line is way too long and can take 2 hours. I decided to go to this one near my work. I went around lunch time at 11:30am. I got in ASAP and was not busy. The inspection takes around 10 minutes. The mechanic drives your car and does a brake test. Then, they take it in the shop and they perform the diagnostics test. They test your brake lights and turn signals. I failed the first time as my one of my headlights went out. I went to Autozone and changed the light bulb and then went back and they gave me my passing papers. Overall, I had a good experience. I prefer to go to this one vs. the one near my house. I am not so sure if I would get an oil change here as people mentioned it is quite a bit of money. Service here was excellent though. read more

Everyone prices went up, but Take 5 price raise was insane.. why would I go from $75 oil change to $140.. The service was THAT great. And it's not the premium oils as they say. I purchase the same oil with others, and is not the same price. $50 dollars cheaper. One take 5 didn't even have my filter and made me go buy it(9707 Plano rd). Just so it can be clarified I didn't get any service done here. I had arrived asking for a state inspection and they told me they couldn't because there machine hasn't been working for over a year. Although online it says they can do state inspections upon arriving they couldn't and said their machine had been out for over a year. Whoever comes here to get a state inspection be aware they won't perform it since they haven't replaced their machine for over a year. Do yourself a favor and go over to the Take 5 location on Forest Ln and Central they were able to do my state inspection fast and good there. FOREST LANE DALLAS TEXAS LOCATION STORE NUMBER 0057 would like to contact regional management regarding a problem regarding my vehicle after service on two different occassions at this location. the first problem occured the last time I had my oil changed at this location. Within ten miles of service my turbo blew up on my car as a result of the oil being overfilled. THAT cost me over 2k in repairs. Figuring, I didnt have legal recourse at that time, I didnt persue legal actions. TODAY I decided to go back and give it another try at this location. This time thirty minutes after leaving my check engine light came on AND ONCE AGAIN, I am having to take it to the mechanic for potential repairs from the most recent service at this location. Further more, your employee (Donald) was very rude and unprofesional on many levels. He complained the entire time I was there about how many customers were there waiting on service. Then when I went to pay for my service. He informed me that I wouldnt recieve my veterans discount DISPITE showing him a state issued ID in which I have used on SEVERAL OCCASIONS at this and other stores. AFter that, he became very rude. He wouldnt show me an accurate level on the dipstick as time my oil level after service. When I tried to explain to him about the issue before, HE RUDLY raised the door and kept yelling me to get out!I attempted to contact a manager (or anyone for that matter) at this location to resolve this, but I was hung up once and the phone was never answered after that. I understand that my loyalty as a customer doesnt mean much, BUT I have a taken both of my vehicles to take 5 for the past ten years. That is only about $1,000 I have spent annually. I can assure you that I WILL NOT BE coming back! AND I will be contacting a lawyer regarding the damages to my vehicle. EXCELLENT!!! I came in with my very first car looking to get it a routinue oil change. I was slightly apprehensive after hearing horror stories about car service shops ripping off customers, especially young women. I pulled in and asked for a basic oil change. They told me to stay in my car and I watched as they replaced my filter and oil. It took no more than 5-10 minutes. The sweet gentlemen who serviced the car asked if I wanted my air filter checked. Nervous, thinking this must be where they rip me off, I didn't know what to say. I think he could sense my apprehension, and he told me that it was free and couldn't hurt. Went in early this morning for a routine oil change. The process was simple enough. The attendant was prompt as soon as I drove up and advised he had another car ahead of me and would get me taken care of soon. No problem for me. Another worker came in and got to my truck ASAP. Fast and friendly and honored the Black Friday 50% off oil change deal without a hassle. Because my truck has high mileage I knew already I would have to go with that option and also knew that other work might be needed. The attendant was helpful in making sure I understood the process and why it was necessary. He suggested new wipers but I had purchased new ones previously so he said he'd put them on. Take 5 prides itself on the 5 minute oil change and thats probably true in most cases, but let's be sensible adults here. Most often you may have to factor in other things as well so learn to be patient and be grateful that you don't have to wait for someone that's working on brakes transmissions and front end alignments before they are available to do your oil change. I'll be def doing business with this place again and the two gentlemen that were on duty this morning (11-23-18) were excellent at customer engagement and promptness. read more

The level of customer service and interaction was phenomenal. I was offered a beverage to sip on and the servicer walked me through several recommendations at discounted rates. When I asked if the rate could be extended so I could think about it, they made a note to extend the discount on my receipt. All that and they got me out in less than thirty minutes!
