I don't normally write reviews, but my experience at Mo's in Brandon was so disappointing I feel obligated to share. The service was shockingly bad -- the employees were rude, inattentive, and clearly had no interest in being there. It felt like no one cared about the food, the cleanliness, or the customers. The food itself? Absolutely disgusting. Sloppy, tasteless, and served with an attitude. I've honestly never had a meal that made me question the health standards of an establishment so quickly. The entire place looked and felt unsanitary, to the point where I'm seriously considering reporting it to the health department. I don't understand how this place is still in business. When neither the staff nor the management seem to care, it shows -- and not in a good way. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. read more

My wife and decided on this Moe's location for lunch due to the convenient location. However, we walked out without ordering. We walked in to an empty restaurant. We were welcomed by a woman who looked to be a manager and a couple other workers. Those other workers quickly disappeared somewhere leaving the manager by herself. The manager continued about her business cooking food but didn't jump in to help start making orders. A line started. The manager finally walked over and started working on a mobile order. She asked what we would like and when we told her we wanted stacks, we were told it would be a few minutes, they were not prepared to make them. At this point we had been standing around for more than 5 minutes waiting to order. Then the manager lady called up the mobile person and told them that she didn't trust pinto beans and that she suggested they choose something else. There seems to be many problems here from staffing to poor management and lack of care for the business in general. I should have checked Yelp before going here because this Moe's location does not have good reviews. We won't be back. read more

I haven't been here in months because of the food quality and service. I decided to give it another go today and found their menu was updated which is a plus. The two employees were helping another lady at the register for about 3-4 minutes before they got to me. They apologized which was fine, I'm never really in a rush. If I was, I'd go to a drive through restaurant. I got the new "Moe Meat Moe Cheese" bowl listed at $13 and change. I took the chance and it came to $16 something after tax, which, in my opinion, is way too much for this style food. The lady serving me was polite and gave me double everything without hesitation. However, my issue is the quality of the food. The steak was extremely chewy and fatty and the rest of it all together just tasted old. I couldn't finish it. Arrived a hour and a half before closing time and was greeted by an announcement from one of the ladies working telling us that we can't eat in the restraunt because she already "cleaned". WOW. What a surprise that the restaurant was filthy. First their denying us a place to eat and SECOND they didn't have any water. An establishment providing food to the customer must have water for free. First time at this location.. I went at about 300 pm. No customers. But that's not unusual for this time of day at most restaurants. There were two employees one appeared to be the manager. The food was good. Some of it didn't have the freshness taste meaning it. It probably been cooked earlier in the morning and left on the bar, but it was still OK and common at most of these style restaurants. There dining area was clean, the restroom, At least the men's restroom was clean. This is pretty much what you wanted to expect at Moe's restaurant. Will I come back here again? Yes when I'm in the mood for this kind of food. The price was a little high. For one person a bowl, with queso for chips and large drink. Decided to get takeout tonight. They no longer do curbside so I went inside to pick up our online order. No 'Welcome to Moes' greeting, no acknowledgement of any kind. The girl walked to the back room, came back out at a slow pace, picked up tongs off the floor, and then finally asked if she could help me. Told her why I was there, she showed me where the food was and that was that. Got home and my husband's tacos had disintegrated. He wasn't even sure he got the 2 he ordered. We also got a family meal. The adobo chicken had good flavor but was over cooked. The beef was on the juicy/greasy side. There was just enough for the 12 tacos, though we did run out of lettuce halfway thru. The restaurant was clean from what I noticed but the chairs around the plexiglass left little room to walk. Anyone on the fluffy side or anyone who needed a walker or wheelchair would not fit thru the limited space. I understand trying to maintain distance but there has to be a better way. Employees have no sense of urgency. Employees have no sense of portioning and overload burritos and bowls. There was no less than 2 cups of cheese in each bowl and burrito. Restaurant often runs out of ingredients, likely because of portioning problems. Trash cans are always full. Tables are not clean. There are never any spoons. Ice runs out. Soda machine shoots out foam. AC didn't work tonight. Their queso is watery and thin now. Management is nowhere to be seen. Ever. I am astounded this location has not gone bankrupt. If management or/or ownership was ever present, maybe they could see their glaring failures somewhere besides the bottom line. Trusting 5 kids to run your franchise is foolish. read more

When you search for this Moe's it says that they are temp closed (they are not)! 8/2 just walked into this inferno, tell me why they are open when it's reading 91degrees but feels like 100+ outside and their a/c is broken. Why would a manger make their people come into a workplace to have them serve and cook food under extreme temperature (in the kitchen/over the grill)? Poor person cooking, sweating tremendously, why would you do this to your employees? When I asked why they are open, what is the mangers name number, what is corporate's number this kid claims he's the manger on duty but doesn't know any names or numbers to anything. Finally gives me an Ian Cochran name but I'm not convinced and if that person is the manger why would you do that to your employees. My son and I had to eat in the car due to his skin condition but sure does enjoy eating Moe's. I just feel bad for the employees even the smarty pant who claimed to know nothing but yet called himself the manger on duty. The store should be closed and not serving customers. I really do enjoy Moe's food, but tonight I have had the worst time with this store. I ordered a burrito on postmates with several ingredients missing (jalapeño, black olives, sour cream, tomatoes, cilantro, mushrooms etc) missing! Just a plain burrito, so I called the store and they said they would remake it for me if I would come pick it up. So they said they were writing down everything that was supposed to be on the burrito, but once again when I picked up my food and went home. It was still missing jalapeños, tomatoes, cilantro and mushrooms! I'm not happy, and their customer service over the phone was not great. Just saying that you should be at the store if you need it made correctly, apparently. read more

I have been going to this Moe's since it opened near my home. It used to be very good, but in the last few months to a year, it has gone downhill. Some of the "kids" working there are POORLY trained in customer service. They are usually busy speaking to each other and not paying attention to the restaurant and the customers. The last few times I have gone there, they gave my order to someone who did takeout. I can't believe it keeps happening! This is when the restaurant isn't even that busy! There is no customer focus at all. They give attitude when asked a question, they're busy chatting with each other, and there are employees who are sitting and eating while no one is at the register. This happened to me a few weeks ago. I had to wait until someone showed up to at the register to ask for something. It took several minutes. Then I found out the Moe's app no longer accepts scanned receipts, and I almost lost my points. When I asked an employee, she told me she couldn't give me the points, and it wasn't their fault the app changed. Seriously?! That's when I got angry. I then demanded to speak with a manager and asked for my points to be added. Just like that, he took care of them. The owner really needs to overhaul this Moe's. It used to be great. I don't want to have to travel extra miles to another, but I just might if this Moe's doesn't shape up. read more

Where do I begin? By all outward appearances, the store was a ghost town. The entire staff were crowded together at a single booth probably discussing how they could better serve the next customers who walked in. Their eyes met ours like a scene from a Wild West saloon without the piano player. I didn't know whether to reach for my holster, or to back slowly out the door. Either choice would've been better than the one I reluctantly made. At the end of our stare down, the crew quickly took their posts, and Billy the Kid and his gang stared again, but this time from behind the counter, while one quiet voice uttered "Welcome to Moe's". Excited to serve us, is not exactly the phrase I would use to describe the hospitality with which we were met. We lurched through the line, and arrived at the counter where we exchanged many dollars for three plates of substandard chow. The floor grease created a film on the soles of our feet that gave us the extra boost of speed that we needed to plow through the Berlin Wall of gnats that stood between us and our table. I swear that one gnat even attempted to swipe a baby wipe from my hand as I made every effort to scrub the funk of 40 other customers off of my table. As a side note, if there were actually 40 other customers that passed through these doors, it probably wasn't in the last 24 hours. If you're still reading this, please be aware that if you're ever in the area and you've got a hankering for some free stale corn chips, don't worry. I left a few of them in my seat and on the table. I had a curbside order earlier today. I really appreciated them bringing out the food to my car, especially in the rain. However, upon leaving, I realized they forgot to put in salsa to go with my chips, a little disappointing but no big deal. Overall, not a bad experience, and the burrito was pretty good. read more

I honestly do not know where to start about this specific Moe's location. I have been going to Moe's religiously for over ten years and never had a issue at another location. And I have never stepped foot in a chipotle because Moe's is by far superior. But I can't count how many times this valrico location has met me down. Countless online orders wrong and or its not ready at all. When me and my family go inside to eat the staff is not worried about getting paying customers through the line over talking about there frustrations over their place of employment. If this location doesn't it change its approach they might as well put a chipotle sign above the door where you can get served garbage with a side of guacamole. read more

Ok, so I hope the manager of this location is watching out for the reviews because the issues have been going on for more than a year and nothing seems to be improving. The only reason that I decided to write my review is because from seeing the other reviews, it looks as if this location is giving the brand a bad name for first time Moe's visitors! Not all Moe's are like this one. I actually LOVE Moe's but HATE this location. And believe me when I tell you, I have given this location more than a good share of fair chances over the past 2 years since I live close by (my last chance being last night). They have CONSISTENTLY disappointed every time. From unfriendly, untrained staff, dried out food, dirty counters, floors, empty salsa stations, no ice, or out of multiple sodas when the store was slow and empty. Yet the staff was standing around chatting or on their phones and when you nicely advise them that they are out of ice, they act as if you are bothering/inconveniencing THEM in some way! They mix up orders when there are only TWO people on a line! The chips are under cooked, oil soaked or stale, and the beans, rice and meats sitting at the steam tables are normally always dried out. There is always SOMETHING wrong. You will NEVER have a good experience here. SOMETHING will go wrong. Either they will get your order wrong, their food will be dried, or they will be out of something, or they will give your order to someone else, guaranteed. Management really needs to get someone to manage/run this store more efficiently like the one at Regency Square! I will not be back to this one again! I'm done! read more

If they let you do minus stars, I'd put this store at -5. I've given this store ample opportunity to see if it's just the people working on a certain day or the leadership and I've determined it's the leadership. There constantly is food not available. Last night they had no onions, green peppers or mushrooms. The queso has an orange tint and when I got home the food was cold. They had one guy mainly working, no one watching the chicken on the grill that looked burnt already on one side, and when I was checking out after a line developed, three girls came out laughing and finally got to work. They were out of salsa, so I asked for more and the girl took every opportunity to do something else. She went and got a receipt and brought it out, then another girl said she could get me my rewards points as the girl before her couldn't figure it out, so that girl came out to see what she was doing. I asked again about the salsa she said yes I'm getting it and loudly huffed and said, "Man, that lady!" I kept standing there waiting for 5 minutes. Decided to buy lunch for the office today as there were only six of us today. Upon arrival we were told we needed to step out of the line and go to the front so they could write our orders down and have one person do them individually in order to "speed up the process and ensure there were no mistakes" 12 people received food while we waited 30 mins later we leave I get to the office. Everything is on wheat tortillas all of the orders are wrong. Glad the 12 you let go ahead of us were taken care of we were not. The message you sent was that the 12 you sent ahead of us were more important than we were hope they come back I won't be. read more

My experience was not bad like the other reviews. Food was fresh, portions were generous, toppings were plentiful, salsa bar was fresh, and everything was clean. They have lots of variety for toppings. It is too noisy from the music and the speakers are right above the line area so it is hard to place your order. There is no reason to avoid the location as far as I've experienced. We've come here about 4-5 times. read more

Every time I come here the place looks like a tornado came through. Food all over the ground, tables slightly sticky, and the benches covered in who knows what. Usually the times I come, it is pretty busy but today I went after the lunch rush (around 4) was over and we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. There was only one person out in front to welcome us and we ordered and multiple other people came out from the back with no urgency. We finished ordering and paying and went to find a clean table. There was chips and random food leftovers all over the floor and know matter where you looked you could find food on the ground. The trash bins were stacked high with empty trays and baskets and the trash can was full with trash, so much so that people had left their trash still in the baskets just resting on the trash can. I am disgusted most of the time I go in and eat and I am embarrassed on the name of Moes. read more

I got the carnitas burrito with guac. Portion size was fine, but the taste was just incredibly underwhelming - totally absent of spice & everything else that makes "southwest" food stand out.
