    Moe Meat, Moe Cheese Bowl
    Kyle G.

I haven't been here in months because of the food quality and service. I decided to give it another go today and found their menu was updated which is a plus. The two employees were helping another lady at the register for about 3-4 minutes before they got to me. They apologized which was fine, I'm never really in a rush. If I was, I'd go to a drive through restaurant. I got the new "Moe Meat Moe Cheese" bowl listed at $13 and change. I took the chance and it came to $16 something after tax, which, in my opinion, is way too much for this style food. The lady serving me was polite and gave me double everything without hesitation. However, my issue is the quality of the food. The steak was extremely chewy and fatty and the rest of it all together just tasted old. I couldn't finish it. I also used the mens bathroom and they were gross, as I remember in the past.

    Bad employee

Waited for 10 min with no one in front of me in line. This lasy took out a quesadilla, dropped in the sides, pulled it out and packaged it up. Completely unprofessional. Then got to the register, the employee had no idea how to work the register

Barely any chips on Moe's monday

Like most of the other reviews on this page you can tell management frankly does not care about the appearance or the way their staff run the restaurant. My experience today was similar to those that have posted before me. Rude employees, low portion size, salty and stale chips and a mini burrito for $9. Moe's Monday is going downhill and so is this location

After seeing how an employee parked her car and told a friend that Moe owned the parking places, she could park wherever and how she wanted taking up two spots in the shade, I have decided that this is not a business that I will frequent. There are better restaurants with caring employees! Mie needs better employees training!

Walked into an inferno today. Had to eat in the car because their a/c is broken.

It's as if no adults work there. I get it, younger people equals more profits but also more dissatisfied customers.

The murals bring me right back to summers spent with my family, full of color, warmth, and tradition. Even though my abuelos are no longer with me, there's something really special about this place that keeps those memories alive. From the music to the food and even the drinks, everything feels comforting and familiar in a way that's hard to put into words. Whenever I'm feeling homesick or just need a moment of connection, this is where I go. It's not just a restaurant it's a space that honors culture, family, and the kind of love that stays with you.

We ordered zucchini tacos wanted to try squash blossom but not in season yet. We also ordered the steak chimichanga. My squash tacos were good but thought price was a bit high. The chimichanga was also good. We asked if they made the carrot cake and the waitress said she couldn't say, we were feeling adventurous and tried it anyway, it was great. They must bring it in from a bakery. Again thought 9$ for a piece of cake was a bit high. Overall food was good but our lunch was over 50$.

I've been here before with friends a few times, years ago but somehow never wrote a review and hadn't been back. It was time to fix both of those problems. . I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and had my pick of spots in the large, festive- rustic dining room. There are tables and booths aplenty-along with tall stools at the large bar. They bring you a generous basket of chips and salsa right away. The first round is free-they charge after that. The chips are usually fresh and crisp. To me, the salsa needs more heat or spices-but don't go by me-I have tomato issues. My server arrived soon and was so sweet when handling my questions. She helped me make good ordering decisions and also checked on me often, but didn't hover. I went with one of the lunch specials, which was a good deal. I had the Speedy Gonzalez: a beef taco, beef enchilada verde and rice (you could have also chosen beans). It's tasty and filling-and goes down great with those aforementioned skinny margs. I ordered the cheese dip and a side of flour tortillas to dip in it. I just can't resist a bowl of cheese. All this merriment on a Monday afternoon? Si!!! The menu is big-and has echos of the Vallarta's restaurants here in the Bay Area. I'm wondering if it's a sister restaurant. It's in a strip mall, with some parking in front and maybe more in back. There's outdoor seating-and I know they used to have mariachis on certain nights-and people would dance. I should find out if that's still the case. I love mariachis even more than a bowl of cheese. Gran Agave has been here a long time. I think it has a strong local following-and I need to become a regular.

We had a group of nine for a family dinner and waited about an hour for a table, which was understandable for a larger party. Once seated, however, the service was unfortunately very slow. It took about 15-20 minutes just to receive our drinks (seven waters and two margaritas), and our food took roughly an hour to arrive at the table. The restaurant didn't appear to be overly busy, so the long wait times were a bit confusing. Because gratuity was automatically included, it felt like our server may not have been as attentive as expected. The prices were also on the higher side, which made the slow service even more disappointing. That said, I do want to mention that the food itself was very good, which was definitely the highlight of the experience. Overall, while we enjoyed the meal, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I'd consider returning in the future, but only if the service improves.
