Extremely disappointed that the DRIVE THRU "CLOSED." That is absolutely insane. Why on earth would you make something inconvenient for your paying "valued" customers? It was late and I just heard they were giving FREE tacos if you were a Moe's Rewards Member. Such a clean restaurant! I took mine to go, but totally would have eaten inside! I can't remember if I was greeted "Welcome to Moe's" but the staff were still working hard behind the counter to ensure every order was right. I called this location prior to going however no one answered. I also was able to use a reward being a first time Moe's rewards member the same day I created my account. Moe's always been good, but lately, there food quality isn't what it use to be. I went on a Monday which has Moe's Monday for $7.99 which is a homewrecker burrito or bowl. They don't offer many toppings to add onto your food as they used to. I ended up getting a steak burrito with a cup of queso dip. Luckily, I have the Moe's app because the only way to get the price for Moe's Monday is through the app. The freestyle Coke machine wasn't working probably which the drinks was coming out flat. Unfortunately , I didn't eat here the day I visited. Walking up to the restaurant to enter was dirty. Once we entered, the inside was kinda dimmed and overall had an unclean feel and look to it. Up until a few months ago, I'd never eaten at Moe's. Then one day I did and now it's among my go-to places for a quick burrito. This one seems to do the job just fine. As another reviewer stated the lines can be long around lunchtime but they do move quickly. The place is clean enough for a fast food spot, and the people seem to be doing just fine as far as taking care of the customers and not failing miserably as we all too often see in fast food. I can also appreciate that while they do say "welcome to Moe's!", when you come in that they don't say it so loud as to startle you. Good job Moe's. Keep up the good work. read more

This is another review that is based on experiences had at other Moe's Southwest locations. This location is very busy at lunch time, but they are good at moving people through the lines quickly. If you aren't familiar with Moe's they are a Mexican food version of Subway. Pick the style of you want (Burrito, Taco, Nacho, Bowl, Etc). They have a good variety of meats to choose between (steak, chicken, pork, etc). Once you pick your meat and if you want beans and/or rice you move on the veggies (lettuce, cheese, onion, olive, fresh or pickled jalapeno, salsa, sour cream, guac...I'm sure I'm missing a few, but you get the idea. Once you pay you can go through the salsa bar to get either mild, medium, hot and breath of fire flavors. One thing to keep in mind is don't get to attached to any of the salsa flavors as they tend to rotate them out and put in new offerings. So I guess the thing I like least about this location is the fact that they aren't the cleanest restaurant (again comparing to other Moe's locations). Price isn't too bad and staff is friendly. They work in a pinch and I wouldn't have an issue returning here. read more

Restaurant is very clean, 6 ft signs were located throughout the line, and all sauces were in containers. Even before the pandemic they prepare the food using plastic re-usable containers. Customer Service is dead at this restaurant. Today I ordered a Close Talker salad online for pickup at the drive thru. Fortunately, I checked my order before driving away; they had left out the napkins, fork, and straw. (I wasn't surprised because this location *regularly* forgets to include these items with the order). But besides that, my "salad" was actually soup---as they only included a light sprinkling of lettuce on it! When I asked the employee to fix it by adding in more lettuce, he got the manager, who argued and said that they made what I ordered. According to him, you have to TELL them to put lettuce on the salad! (HUH?) When I parked, went inside, and told them that I wanted them to make the base close talker and ADD ON the items listed in my online order, the manager said he wouldn't make me anything when I talked to him that way. (DOUBLE HUH?) It's a real shame about this location being so poorly run. I like Moe's menu and love the drive thru convenience at this location, but today's episode was a just a Bridge Too Far. First, I love Moe's. But this location has really gone down hill recently. The serving line, sauce area, drink area were all a mess. The staff is not customer focused and are important with laughing and talking to their coworkers than to the customer. You honestly feel your an inconvenience to their conversation. I like Moe's, if only because it is a decent option to fast food burgers and BBQ, which are common at lunch. The Moe's on Lorna Road is one of the best Moe's locations in Birmingham. Unlike the Lee Branch location, the entire staff doesn't seem bent on offering skimpy portions of meat and beans. Moe's offers pork, chicken, beef, tofu, and steak, but charges extra for steak and pork for some reason. Burritos that include sour cream and guac have their own special names and higher prices as well. This Moe's has a new Coke machine that offers dozens of flavors, some of which are terrible compared to their real-world offerings (try the coke with lime to see what I mean). This machine can cause a line to back up severely at peak lunch times and Sundays when more children are present. Try the tomatillo salsa. Avoid going at night after 8:00. The place advertises a 9 p.m. closing, but will make you feel unwanted after 8:15 once they start stacking chairs on tables, mopping by the drink machine and under your feet, and locking the door at 8:50. read more

My wife can't get enough moes. We live real close so we come all the time. The drive thru takes slightly longer than the average place but I think that's because they make it on the spot. I got to this restaurant 45 minutes before they closed on a Friday night. From the moment I walked in employees started leaving the line. They were all in the process of breaking down the line and changing plans over for the next day. The one employee that did manage to mumble a greeting that I myself use whenever I mention the name of this restaurant followed that up with I'll be with you in one moment. Then continued to change the sour cream container and then go so far as to scrape the container clean and pick up another one all while telling me yet again that she will be with me in one moment. I'm all for wanting to get out of work at a decent time on the weekend but this is some seriously unprofessional behaviour. An entire staff scrambling around like they are being raided and nobody took the time to se what I was ordering. I waited longer for someone to take my order than it would have taken to make it. Have been eating here 2 or 3 times a week for a few months between shifts but the last 2 times I've gone they've had some new manager there doing INSANE portion control. Last time I went he gave me so little meat I said fine I'll just pay for extra meat, my meal ended up being 15 dollars for 3 tacos. I went through the drive-thru which was a first for me at a place like this. I was impressed with the quality of the meat and food especially for a drive thru order. It was also a lot quicker than expected. The guy who took my order was very friendly and prompt. I will definitely go back here when I want fast fresh food. read more
