Mogio's has great pizza and being BYOB makes it wonderful for celebrations. They have a station with wine glasses and an opener set up for cusomters who bring their own wine. The staff has been super friendly each time I have ordered for pickup or eaten in. Everytime I have been in the manager has come around to check on how everything was. The only downside is that the dining area is a bit small and it can be quite a wait for groups that require more than one table. My favorites so far are the Grecian Alfredo and Pizza Margherita on the wheat crust. read more

Great place!! Food came out quickly and everything was delicious!! Portions were grand and we didn't walk away hungry. My daughters had parm chicken and ziti and couldn't stop saying how good it was; red sauce was a little sweet with just the right amount of tomatoes. I had a speciality pizza (can't recall the name) but it was a chicken and spinach Alfredo and it was delightful; there crust was just right (not to thin or thick). My husband had his traditional Stromboli and he thought the crust was perfectly baked (he ordered the small which was enough for 2). Will return!! read more

When my family and I want pizza we go here. Just make sure you don't get it to go. It doesn't travel very well. But straight out of the oven - yummy! Don't expect much in the way of service either. You pay at the counter and they bring you the pizza. You get your own drinks and ask for plates and napkins. But hey, you don't have to pay much, if anything, in the way of a tip then do you. OK i only ordered take out. & tried 2 types of pizzas. The margarita and I believe the Artichoke delight. My take on it was that the ingredients where sound, the bread was good-great, but I have had better. Now I frequent Austin, and some friends took me to backspace ( have since got 2 more times) , http://thebackspace-austin.com/ , fire oven grilled pizza, and just amazing ingredients so I am currently comparing other high quality places to this particular shop. The pizza bread is light but it could be airier, and the sauce I feel maybe was covering up too much of the pizza bread( I.e. removing flavor) perhaps it was too heavy. Cheese was good but again, I have had better product on the pizza before. In my mind what is home made (pizza and sauce) is what you are all about, if you want to go higher end well the rest is about getting high quality product on the pizza. This is a decent spot, but nothing super special in my eyes. The garlic knots are great, but the pizzas tend to lack sauce and end up being on the drier side. I'd give this place a 3 for fair pricing and fast service, but the quality of the food itself is somewhat disappointing. read more

The owner is friendly as is the staff. The place is cozy and has a nice style of decorating. The side salad has more than just iceberg lettuce, it had red leaf and a few others, kalamata olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, croutons... it was good. We had two medium pizzas and one calzone. The pizzas were crisp and the pizza sauce had a lot of flavor. It hink the only similarity to Cici's is the size, the medium is about the size of a regular Cici's pizza. That is about the only similarity I see. The calzone left a little to be desired, the dough was almost like foccacia which was different. Not bad, but different. I like a more pizza dough feel to it, and it could have used a little more mozzarella in it. It had just enough ricotta that you could taste it but it didn't overwhelm. It came with two sides of marinara and two sides of garlic butter. Nice touch. This pizza place maybe be my new favorite Friday Night Pizza night place. They deserve 5 stars for how supportive this restaurant is of the community and local schools. The owner is incredibly generous. My family enjoys eating here, good pizza, a decent side salad, sometimes desert. I've come with friends and it's fun to bring in a bottle of wine. Lots of unique pizza choices. Good lunch specials. There's always a coupon in the magazine you get in the mail. Service is hit or miss because it's usually a bunch of teenagers, but expect good service from them and help them rise to the challenge. read more

My husband and I have been to Mogio's a couple of times and have always enjoyed their food. It is a bit, what some would consider expensive. Tonight I had the Queen Pizza on Whole Wheat Crust . It has Chicken, Spinach, Roma Tomatoes, Oregano, sesame seeds, with virgin olive oil, feta & mozzarella. All I need to say is "Awesome". I would highly recommend not using the online ordering/Menufy service. I've used it twice in the last month thinking it would be really convenient. Both times I show up 20 minutes after ordering and they haven't started my order. Last night I sat there for 35 minutes waiting after they told me to give them 3 more minutes when I got there. The previous time I waited 20-25 minutes. There was another gentlemen pacing around too obviously in the same situation. And then to make things better both times my order was wrong. The food is OK but no longer worth the headache when there are so many other options in the area. read more

Great pizza and great service! Stopped in for lunch a little after the regular lunch crowd and I'm so glad we did. We ordered a salad to start which was large enough for two to share as a starter salad. Then the pizza...which came out piping hot and it was oh so yummy! Been to the restaurant and loved their pizza. Decided to order for delivery tonight. Placed order at 5:45p, website said I'd have my order in 45-55 minutes. After an hour, I called to find out where my order was, they told me it just came out of the oven and was leaving the store, would be to me shortly. Thirty minutes later and I'm starving but still no food, I call again to find out what's going on with my order, they say they'll have to call the driver and find out. Another 30 minutes goes by (I'm fuming by then) and the driver calls to tell me he can't deliver to my house but I'm welcome to drive to the store and pick up my now cold two hour old pizza. No apology, no offer of a refund, just arrogance. Worst service I've ever seen. These people suck. I don't care how good their pizza is, there is no way I'd ever spend one penny of my money in their establishment again. read more

This place is horrible. I went here with a friend and it took them 1 hour and 20 minutes to get us our pizza. The pizza was soggy, and I don't recommend this place. Bad service and bad pizza. We dropped in for lunch for the first time this week. A very nice greeting and welcome from the manager. He told us how the ordering works and we each selected a $6.99 lunch special. My individual pizza and my wife's ham and cheese sandwich were both excellent. The included house salad made for a perfect lunch. We will be back! read more

If you have celiac's disease, avoid this place. They have gluten free crust available, but that's useless if the kitchen doesn't know what they are doing. I ordered a pizza for delivery today. It first time ordering from this place. I called ahead to ask how diligent they were about keeping things gluten free.They talked about separate utensils, separated ingredients, and washing hands and reassured me things would be fine. I told them to try to be extra careful about gluten, and I got several reassurances. I get my pizza and it has breaded ingredients on it. I ordered an artichoke pizza with gluten free crust, and I added eggplant. I did not know the eggplant was breaded. The addon was in their veggie section and called eggplant not eggplant parmesan. For some reason I was thinking eggplant like they do tomatoes or spinach or any other veggie. There should have been someone there to say hey, we are doing this gluten free, maybe putting something with bread crumbs on it is a bad idea. The fact that there wasn't that check means that they are not paying attention at all in the kitchen and barely giving lip service to people with allergies or intolerances. Also, they can't possibly have separated ingredients if breaded items can be there to be put on the pizza. I couldn't trust anything in that kitchen after that. The owner himself told me it was impossible to give me a refund because I had used a credit card. Because refunding a credit card is impossible. He went on to say it wasn't his fault, because I was the one who said eggplant. Repeating how it wasn't his fault, I think he said this about four or five times, he told me that he could get me a new pizza eggplant free. I attempted to communicate that I didn't trust it anymore and I wanted a refund not a new pizza, but he was insistent that that's all he could do. It you want to sell pizza, fine. But don't pretend it's gluten free. If someone calls ahead worried, do not lie to them and say it's safe. Do not lie to me. read more

I've lived in the Wylie/Murphy area for a few years and have recently found Mogio's to be my favorite for delivery. I started to get tired of the same old greasy pizza from big chains, and this was a refreshing change. My order is usually a large queen pizza with a Greek salad, and I love every bit of it. This is the worst customer service i have ever received will never be going here again. The food was gross. the cooks and the girls did not wear gloves like come on people we are going through covid. the manager is never there or never available to speak to a customer like he should be. Also one of the named melissa had hung up on my daughter while she was trying to place a to go order that is not good customer service at all and it's been 2 almost 3 weeks since the manager was suppose to contact us. i will be reaching out to the health department as soon as possible. Friday night, 8 p.m. Ordered small pizza and Greek salad. The Greek salad was just fine, generous portion, good dressing, as has been the norm here, ONCE I GOT IT. I had to go ask one of the NINE apparent employees loitering (not working!) in the food preparation area where my salad was. The pizza was just okay, not up to what used to be their usual faire. This one was heavily loaded with cheese on top of the toppings I had ordered. I've been through these phases with this Mogio's before. When they opened several years ago, the pizza was a light crust, sauce, little bit of cheese and then the toppings. A few years later, the recipe changed to a thicker crust and heavy cheese on top of the toppings, which is when we stopped going. After a lengthy absence and in search of some new dining, we tried this Mogio's again and the pizza had returned to the original recipe and that was great. Now, it appears they've changed back to heavy cheese and I guess we're done with them. This Friday evening, we were the only sit down customers over about a 45 min period. Only two carry-out customers came in and I saw no deliveries leave. Unless, this location turns into a post-football game place to be later Friday nights, I don't understand why he had NINE employees hanging around the food prep area then sitting around occupying two of the tables in the restaurant (not like he needed the tables). I assume the loiterers were all employees and not friends of the "children" running the store hanging out in and around the service area, with their unwashed hands, etc. I will say the two gentlemen making the pies and the "mop-haired" young man, whom I think was the dishwasher, were probably the hardest working folks amongst the SIX other folks standing around or sitting and bs'ing. Also, as we finishing, I saw a lady holding a baby working one of the registers. This wouldn't normally bother me, except the register area here is very close to the cold food prep area (salads) and where the pizzas come out of the oven; one sneeze from the little one and the entire area becomes a HOT ZONE of flying particulates of bacteria and germs, right where your food is being prepared... ugh. I don't know why his Sachse and Wylie locations closed, but this one is not looking good if he's staffing twice as many employees as he needs and using more dough and cheese than he used to. Also, the "5% discount for cash" sign makes me wonder if expenses are getting too high here. read more
