After months of searching and days of negotiating with local Mazda dealer, I found a 2024 Mazda CX90 PHEV / 10k miles / within my price rage via AutoTrader & located at Mohawk Honda. Stopped in the following day w/o appt. Met John C. assigned to us as Sales Assoc. John was super helpful is facilitating the process, with the intent to purchase/pick up car by EOBD. John introduced us to Justin, who was also helpful in explaining the terms and further explaining how the process will come to fruition throughout the day. There was open communication throughout the day via email/phone - nothing was stressful and no pressure at any time; anything I asked to be in writing was granted. My experience was one of the best car shopping ever! The salesman who assisted was Jayden Vyent - I have bought cars since1970 and he is t-h-e best. He was very patient, outgoing and answered all my questions. Effective as a salesman but never rushed me, and very clearly trying to make sure I would end up with the right vehicle for my needs. I wanted to be loyal to Honda - my '03 CR-V ran 224K miles and NOTHING broke - we replaced parts that wore out, yes, but never did anything "break." I have bought 7 cars from Mohawk Honda and have always enjoyed going there. I maintain my vehicles as recommended by the vehicle warnings. Recently however the service associates behave like timeshare salesmen trying to upsell me by making repairs seem needed when they are not. I came in for a 21$ inspection and they claimed that I needed 3 windshield wipers when in fact I only needed the rear wiper. They wanted to charge me $36.00 each. I bought the wipers on Amazon while waiting at the service desk .for 11 for the rear and 22 for two front. I snapped them on in seconds. I also had a bad tire that I bought from my local tire dealer so I called them and set up a replacement. They scraped off my sticker and said they will charge me 10$ to drive 80 miles to get a sticker put on...... Sadly this among other displeasing experiences with the new Mohawk Honda will lead me to take my business elsewhere in spite of the fact that I am very happy with my salesman. I used to get treated like family....Now I feel like I'm being tricked making me feel foolish for trusting their advice. I don't go to the car shop to be made to feel like a sucker! I understand that vehicles need inspection but my car is in mint condition, purchased from the dealer and is properly maintained as the records at Mohawk Honda will show. Just purchased a used Nissan Pathfinder from Mohawk Honda yesterday. I inquired on the website about the vehicle, and a huge shout out goes to Prince, who literally called me back within 2 minutes. He set me up with a nice woman in internet sales, who also called me back right away. She then connected me with Sam, my salesman. He was kind enough to text me a few videos and other service history details. I set up an appointment to see the car, and it was clean and ready for me to test drive when I arrived. They offered me a fair trade value and gave me a great price on the Nissan. Sondra, in Finance, beat my bank finance rate by almost one percentage point, and was super helpful & friendly with all the paperwork. The car was spotless clean at delivery and they even drove out of state to register it for me! I couldn't be happier with the deal I got, and the car. brought my son's car in for a recall on the airbag they did the airbag they then went through the so many point inspection they did tell me there was a lug nut missing if I wanted to pay the it would cost 25 bucks otherwise just go get a lug nut. Yes we did that but everything they said everything is tight. Everything's good. We're gonna keep your son safe. He's good to go well two months later three lug nuts flew off the freaking tire and could've gotten it in an accident and they said oh I'm sorry we're not responsible. I said well you guys were the last people to tighten these lug nuts supposedly but that's what they say. We're not responsible. read more

My experience at Mohawk Honda in Schenectady was by far the worst dealership interaction I have ever had in my life. I visited in July, and the treatment I received from one of the managers was absolutely unacceptable. I felt disrespected, singled out, and spoken to in a way no customer should ever be addressed. She accused me of causing damage to the rental car with no proof whatsoever. When the car was inspected, no actual damage was found--just a tiny mark on the rim that could've easily been caused by a pebble on the road, not negligence. Even after the inspection showed nothing major, she refused to apologize, refused to correct herself, and still charged me for "damages" she knew were not there. I filed a complaint and was assured I would receive my money back. It is now months later, and I have received no refund, no apology, and no follow-up--even after calling multiple times and being told "someone will get back to you." To make matters even worse, when I went to pick up the vehicle, there were dead mice around my car. That alone speaks volumes about their lack of cleanliness and basic professionalism. At this point, I would rather let my own car break down on the side of the road than ever step foot in this dealership again. The lack of accountability, the disrespect, and the complete disregard for customers is outrageous. Save yourself the stress--go anywhere else. read more

Every person I had contact with was clearly trying to help me except , the high pressure extra coverage hawker. He is the last and the worst person there. I said no several times. but he continued to push my acceptance.. Also this sales man mentioned that at the end of your lease the car must be free from any cosmetic blemish, and in orig working condition. I was just a little 75 yr old that felt enormous pressure to buy something I didn't need after my 5 hr visit. I've never been forced to obligate my end of lease business to orig dealer. I will preface this by saying that I have owned 4 Hondas, and all have been serviced regularly by Mohawk Honda. As part of the service, they do a complimentary checkover. My last vehicle was a 2006 CRV and had approximately 205,000 miles on it. In August, 2025, the engine light went on. I brought in the vehicle to Mohawk Honda. They replaced a valve. Cost was approximately $1,000. It was good for about a month. Then there was a noise anytime the vehicle was moving. I returned the vehicle to Mohawk Honda. They told me that the rear calipers had seized up, and that I would need new rear calipers and new rear brakes. Cost was approximately $1,200. I had the work done. They charged me an additional $127 to lubricate the front calipers. Three days later, my vehicle started making noises in the front anytime the vehicle was moving, and there was another noise on the driver's side wheel when I was making a turn. I brought the vehicle into a local mechanic. He told me that the front calipers had seized up. I would need new calipers and brakes in the front. That is not all they found. The vehicle had a lot of rust underneath and most likely would not pass inspection next time. The stabilizer bar was in danger of breaking. They also found that a rear spring was broken. The coup de grace was that the lug nuts on the front driver's side wheel were loose, and the wheel was in danger of falling off while I was driving. I called Mohawk Honda the same day, letting them know of the findings. When I first got through to service, I reached AI. I requested to speak to a manager. They put me through to Mike Malone, the assistant service manager. All he did was yell at me, saying that Mohawk Honda did what they were supposed to do. I am unhappy that I paid Mohawk Honda $179 per hour to service my vehicle and received poor service. At the very least, I should have been refunded the cost of lubricating the front calipers. They should have told me about the severe rust, the stabilizer bar, and the broken spring. And the wheel should have been properly secured to the vehicle.To date, I have received no resolution from Mohawk Honda. I purchased another Honda from a different dealer and will not be returning to Mohawk Honda for service. read more

Phenomenal service from start to finish with a special shout-out to Karen and Ashley! My kids and I were in town from Maine visiting my parents and our beloved '13 Odyssey decided to break down in the middle of a 3 lane road in Amsterdam. After a mild freak out, I called Mohawk Honda and was instantly comforted by Karen who told me to "bring the van on over, don't worry! We will take care of you and get you back on the road as soon as we can!" She then proceeded to stay in touch with me and give me updates (like when the tow truck got the van to the shop!), place the service order and send out emails to her team. The next day, Ashley handled all the communication and I felt like I'd met a friend. She was kind and listened so well, she cared about our situation, gave me up to date reports and explained all the things so a commoner like myself could understand what had happened and what they were going to do to fix it. We got the van back today and I couldn't be happier! Both ladies were attentive, compassionate, thorough and kind! I realize that Mohawk Honda and other dealerships have a huge overhead. But you can go to the Doctor cheaper,let's be real. A thousand dollars to replace four sway bar links is out of the ball park.With labor at over 180/hr how do these dealers think the average person can afford it is beyond me. And the car did not need front brake pads and or calipers and rotors. I've been doing my own brakes for decades. Its possible the pad they looked at was a little more worn than the one i looked at . That pad had a huge amount of wear left. Especially since this vehicle has only been driven less than 30k since 2009. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here. At least a year and a half though more for brake job needed. we had the rest of the fluids changed for 346.00 more. MH would have been another thousand. If I could give them a -5 I would. I bought my car there love it when I go to get another car. It will not be with Mohawk Honda. their service department will rip you off and price gouge you to no end. My AC is on the outs. I confirmed it with another that it was the air compressor for the AC. We researched it. The part was around 300 to 350 and then somebody would install it for 200. Maybe $300. Well I called Mohawk Honda. They wanted 900 for the part and 700 for the labor. The guy that I talked to his name was Victor. I can't even tell you to begin how floored I was, and I even said to him about the part price and he came up with some stupid statement about it. This is not the first time that they gave me estimates and things that they thought I needed for my car. I took it to somebody else. Their price was about 80% over what other people gave me. It was so disheartening. I'm so disgusted with them I will go on every site and give them a negative review. And trust and believe if you are a woman or the elderly going there, you can bet that you will be taking advantage of. I am going to do everything in my power and resources to have them investigated for their price gouging, including the attorney general and Better Business Bureau. read more

I take very good care of my car, so of course I notice after my oil change, they called me said I needed new filters i declined. So after I pick up car I changed my bulbs and instantly notice they broke 2 screws on my engine filter cover!!! I know for a fact it was them because I changed the filter my self a few months ago and they were NOT broken. Very dishonest- this is for my 2019 CR-V. If they broke and replaced them that would be fine but they just left them broke thinking I would not notice..... I will update this review if they do the right thing and fix this issue. read more

Amazing customer service: Great customer satisfaction shouldn't stop with a good sales process. In fact, I think it should be even more important after the sale closes. That's the case with Mohawk Honda. I bought a car 3 years ago and recently while buying a Florida vehicle to replace the one I purchased at Mohawk we had titling issues with the old Honda. Mohawk's leadership went over the top, in particular, Liz Deltry and her manager couldn't do enough to help me out, including making sure I received the correct paoerwork on the old vehicle. Liz should get a huge thank you from her leadership team because it's employees like her that make you want to maintain dealer loyalty, as she went way over the top to help me. I went to multiple car dealerships and each time I spoke with a sales person and set the parameters of what I was looking for and my budget, everything I said was disregarded and at one location they quoted a lease payment of $219.00 per month and when I went in to see the vehicle, the price changed to $419.00 per month!! On the verge of giving up and just keeping what I had, I looked one more time on line and saw a vehicle I was interested in. I sent an inquiry in to Mohawk Honda and that's where everything changed!! A saleswoman named Amanda text me and asked a convenient time to call (which I appreciated because I work during the day). We ended up texting and I advised her of my price range and what type of car I was looking for and within an hour she sent me two leads on vehicles and included the warrantee information, the car fax, the service records and photographs! She answered every question honestly and always with my best interest in mind. When I said I was interested in one of the vehicles, she asked me to send photographs of my trade in, along with the registration information. Within one hour, I had a reasonable offer for my trade in and we made an appointment to look at the car the following day. I arrived early and she was ready!! She sat and went over all the information and got the car for me to test drive. I asked about one concern about the vehicle and she immediately said she would have the mechanics look over my concern. The car is beautiful and was everything Amanda described and promised. We went in to do the paperwork and there was no wasting of my time, she helped me transfer insurance, get the pay off on the trade in, went over the new vehicles information and I spent less than two hours to seal the deal. Every other dealership had me there for almost four hours and to be honest, with lots of empty promises. I have NEVER had this great an experience at a car dealership, where it felt like they had MY best interest in mind foremost. I liked that my interaction commenced with Amanda and then I was able to continue to work with her through the closing. She is absolutely down to earth, considerate and quite amazing. I watched the entire team of salespeople interact and they were all so helpful to each other, and genuinely friendly and happy. I never said "I have a Car Dealership" before, but I do consider them my Car Dealership and would start and end every vehicle search with them. How refreshing to have an experience like I had with Mohawk Honda. And for the other Dealerships that were a dissappointment...you could learn alot about how to conduct business by watching them! I have never bought a car from a car dealership. My first car I bought from my mother when I graduated college. My second was from a friend who bought auction cars...in 2000. We went to a few dealerships and had mixed experiences. Some gave off the "ick" used car vibe. Others just didn't have what we were looking for. Mohawk had what we were looking for and a great staff. The entire process was easy, no pressure, and very customer friendly. They even had someone on their staff drive the car nearly an hour to our mechanic so he could look it over before we committed. We are very happy with the car and the experience. We will go there first the next time we are shopping (hopefully another 20 years!). read more

The car was shipped from factory to dealership with 10" line down windshield. Dealership didn't notice it when they unloaded the car, when they detailed the car, when they did the pre delivery inspection. I noticed it when they delivered the car to me (6/19/23). Car also was missing paint inside the driver's side door. Car also had the rear trim piece above the back right tire with a gap. I was told well Honda decided to use the trim pieces for the 2022 on the 2023 so if we take it off and put it back on it will be even more of a gap. Honda Factory gets 1/5 stars for ever letting the car leave the factory. The dealership gets 0 stars because they gave me attitude when I pointed out the windshield. They had me come back a month and a half later to have the windshield replaced. I live 2.5 hours away so I drove all the way there, waited an hour and a half only to me told..."Oh sorry we can't replace your windshield today we have the wrong molding piece." So I had to drive all the way back home. That was 310 miles I put on my leased car because of YOUR factory defects. They called me a few weeks ago and said the molding piece was in. I again begged them to just pay the Honda dealership in my town to do the repair but they said no we want to make it right and we don't have an agreement with them. So I said ok you can come here and trailer the car all the way to the dealership because why should I have to put more miles on my leased car because of your messup......I was told "We are not going to do trailer it." They asked if I could come there on a Saturday and drop my car off and pick up a rental and come back Monday night so they would have time with the car and not be rushed and could make sure the car was all detailed and ready when I picked it up. Monday 10/16/23 came around and I waited all day with 0 update on the car. I called twice and eventually at 4:49Pm was told by Mike Malone, "They are finishing the calibration now and then they have to clean it up so it should be ready when you get here." What???? What happened to having ample time and not being rushed......that was another Mohawk Honda lie......I got there to pick up my car and it wasn't ready......then I was told oh no they didn't detail the car.....WTF....When I got into my car there was gunk smeared all over the windshield.... the windshield they just replaced.......then I found little rubber bits on the seat and center console........I brought those to the service desk...I was told by max..."Those don't look important." He apologized profusely and said, "Oh i can schedule you for a free detail if you want." My response, "You seriously want me to put another 310 miles on my car to fix another one of your messups???? Absolutely not....". Prints all over the mirror smudges and crap all over the dash. I picked it up at night. If the stuff on the dash and GPS are scratches we have an even bigger problem. They will be paying for the dealership here to replace all that. It is sad when my car comes back to me in worse condition than I dropped it off. I am beyond upset with my buying experience from the factory, to sales, to service, to now collision. This was the first new car I had bought since I was 18. I just turned 45. I had that dream of getting a new car and driving off into the sunset. That experience has been totally ruined and I will never get that back. I'm sure some people probably have had an excellent experience with this dealership but mine has been a documented nightmare. read more

We had to get a service check on our 7 year old civic. We needed tires and went to Mavis Tire to get them and they told us it needed struts and tie rod. When we brought it to Mohawk they told us it didn't need any of those things. Very honest and saved us a lot of money. read more

So the plus side is all about the eye candy and the amenities. Large, airy showroom. IPad consoles everywhere, a plug-in power bar for your USB devices, some tables, and a pretty darn nice waiting area for service, real coffee and danishes. I haven't had the beast in for service here but I talked with the service manager for a while and had a pretty reasonable discussion about the pros and cons of various maintenance approaches, although I was getting the sell for dealer service the whole time. On the down side, despite multiple attempts I was unable to get the attention of a sales person, despite having an appointment with one on one of the two visits I made, and I did not get good competitive bids in a timely manner when I asked for them by email (although they were by no means alone among the five area Honda dealers in this regard). And when I ask someone on staff a basic question about a car, I mean basic, I expect they should know the answer, whether or not they're a sales person. This bespeaks a traditional car dealership at the heart of it. I'll update this if I try the service department in earnest but for now it gets four stars for the showroom and convenience, three stars for the quality of answers I got from the service department, and two stars for inattention from the sales staff. read more

VEHICLE SALE FRAUD, SALE TAX FRAUD, EXTENDED WARRANTY FRAUD. They charged me 10.65% sale tax, add extended warranty and told me it's required 3040, and they profit from sale tax 326.6545 which is sale fraud because my county sale tax is 8.75%. So, they top of that added another 699.4955 for no reason. That was called manipulation of numbers. Sale tax, fraud, vehicle sale fraud, lied to me about switching warranty papers and it's required up to 100k miles. They made from vehicle total sale fraud, sale tax fraud 1026.15. Now let's add extended warranty which they told me because it's certified preowned. I can make any car certified preowned. 1026.15 fraud + 3040 dollars = 4066.15 Do not forget 75 dollars for their Mohawk fee 4141.15 They gave me old tires, old winter season, old carpets. Never asked them for those things. It's not included in my contract. read more

I entered mohawk Honda with in issue that I thought that they could address when trying to buy a car at all that I wish would be functional versus mine that I dumped almost $1000 in 2 weeks just to find out a had a more severe problem. I bought a used car from Mohawk Honda and the whole experience was horrendous. Brian from finance badgered me to buy the extended warranty after I firmly repeated I did not want it. He was visibly disgusted and irritated with me when he finally took NO for an answer. So unprofessional and nerve wracking for me. There were other issues that also created a very stressful experience. Too much to write and detail on this review. He said he was doing me a favor by getting me a good interest rate and getting best loan for me (my credit is less than perfect). Isn't getting me a good rate and loan his job? How did he do me a favor? I bought a car from them where he made a lot of money. I almost cancelled the whole deal - about to walk out -which at this time he changed his tune and attitude. They told us we had a lil wear in the tires and they would Be fine till winter coming. Ha....! Big lie. Two weeks later we have a blow out and to find that all the tires we done .... really?! But y'all just told us it was fine. Told them it was still make a squeal noise in the breaks. They claim the are fine. I won't be back to this place as this has been a very bad last experience. And I'm afraid to send my family on the road after they do a none point device Inspection. When I bought my car I bought their detail package. I make an appointment to take it in and now they will not honor it. This is the worst service department I have ever seen. I take me car to Keeler now. I tiered to bring it back to Mowhak but there service her is terrible. If you value your hard earned money STAY AWAY!!! read more

Don't trust these snakes! I would give this place 0 stars if I could! When you first walk in they seem friendly and nice, but they are even sleazier than any other car dealership. I went in to test drive a car I saw on a brand new posting on carfax- it didn't even have pictures up yet! The test drive with sales person Thomas was pleasant enough, but that was the end of all amiable interactions. The car I drove was listed nearly $1,500 above the highest fair price value according to Kelley Blue Book. When I negotiated the price down to be in the fair range, I asked to put a deposit down on the vehicle and was told that they do not accept deposits - I would have to accept the deal at that moment. The sales person told me that the car hadn't even been through their inspection or detailed and I should wait to agree to the sale until that happened. He also informed me it would happen the very next day and I would be provided the results. I followed up with this dealership the next day and the day after being told each time the inspection wasn't done yet but they would let me know soon. On the third day I got a call from sales person Thomas, you can imagine my surprise when instead of hearing the results of the inspection, Thomas stated the car was sold to someone else and that sale happened that very morning! Thomas tried to swindle me into another car- one that was priced much higher and offered no recompense. The manager called after and stated I could have agreed to buy the car back on the test drive day and if something was wrong with it during the inspection, I would have been let out of the agreement. The sales person and the sales manager said NOTHING about that caveat at all on the day I test drive and offered to make a downpayment. I continued my car search elsewhere noting that even a week after the Mohawk Honda car was supposedly "sold" Mohawk Honda was updating the carfax post for that vehicle I looked at- adding pictures and a new description. Clearly the car was not already "sold" or else they won't be advertising it! When I confronted the dealership on this matter, they ignored my messages. Then a week after that, I was contacted by Thomas again who said the deal with the other buyer "just fell through" that morning and they were willing to sell me the car again. You better believe I didn't take them up on their offer. They clearly didn't want my business and they won't be getting a cent of my money! Save your time and go to any of the Carbone dealerships instead. They have fair pricing and honest sales people who don't discriminate against women. I got the same make, model, and milage car I was looking at for more than $2,000 cheaper from Carbone without the hassle and lies! read more

The gentleman I had an oil change wth yesterday could have been a bit friendlier. It was also 7:30 am. He was prompt when it came to what I needed done. My appointment was for 7:30 and they were staffed well for that Thursday morning. So glad I came by Mohawk Honda, they notified me that I had a recalled airbag and it would take another hour so I let them have at it. The waiting area was clean, lots of magazines and property brothers was on (Score) and cookies and drinks are all there free to help yourself. Service was excellent minus the grumpy man that I was working with, and I'll be coming back to service my car. read more
