Don't trust these snakes! I would give this place 0 stars if I could! When you first walk in they seem friendly and nice, but they are even sleazier than any other car dealership. I went in to test drive a car I saw on a brand new posting on carfax- it didn't even have pictures up yet! The test drive with sales person Thomas was pleasant enough, but that was the end of all amiable interactions. The car I drove was listed nearly $1,500 above the highest fair price value according to Kelley Blue Book. When I negotiated the price down to be in the fair range, I asked to put a deposit down on the vehicle and was told that they do not accept deposits - I would have to accept the deal at that moment. The sales person told me that the car hadn't even been through their inspection or detailed and I should wait to agree to the sale until that happened. He also informed me it would happen the very next day and I would be provided the results. I followed up with this dealership the next day and the day after being told each time the inspection wasn't done yet but they would let me know soon. On the third day I got a call from sales person Thomas, you can imagine my surprise when instead of hearing the results of the inspection, Thomas stated the car was sold to someone else and that sale happened that very morning! Thomas tried to swindle me into another car- one that was priced much higher and offered no recompense. The manager called after and stated I could have agreed to buy the car back on the test drive day and if something was wrong with it during the inspection, I would have been let out of the agreement. The sales person and the sales manager said NOTHING about that caveat at all on the day I test drive and offered to make a downpayment. I continued my car search elsewhere noting that even a week after the Mohawk Honda car was supposedly "sold" Mohawk Honda was updating the carfax post for that vehicle I looked at- adding pictures and a new description. Clearly the car was not already "sold" or else they won't be advertising it! When I confronted the dealership on this matter, they ignored my messages. Then a week after that, I was contacted by Thomas again who said the deal with the other buyer "just fell through" that morning and they were willing to sell me the car again. You better believe I didn't take them up on their offer. They clearly didn't want my business and they won't be getting a cent of my money! Save your time and go to any of the Carbone dealerships instead. They have fair pricing and honest sales people who don't discriminate against women. I got the same make, model, and milage car I was looking at for more than $2,000 cheaper from Carbone without the hassle and lies! read more

The gentleman I had an oil change wth yesterday could have been a bit friendlier. It was also 7:30 am. He was prompt when it came to what I needed done. My appointment was for 7:30 and they were staffed well for that Thursday morning. So glad I came by Mohawk Honda, they notified me that I had a recalled airbag and it would take another hour so I let them have at it. The waiting area was clean, lots of magazines and property brothers was on (Score) and cookies and drinks are all there free to help yourself. I purchased a used vehicle back in February. Overall, the sales experience wasn't terrible but they also refused to budge on the purchase price of the car. Even $100 to give peace of mind would have gone a long way. My biggest problem came two weeks after purchase when my service engine light came on. They told me it was due to a loose gas cap, cleared the light, told me to fill up, and come back if there was an issue. When I brought the vehicle back (45 minute ride) I was told there were no loaners available and they could not look at it that night despite me making an appointment. Once I filled up again the light would go away and come back at 1/3 of a tank. By this point the lemon-law had passed and they had the nerve to run the repair through my extended warranty company and as a courtesy 'waived' my $100 deductible, even though it was the same problem experienced 2 weeks after purchase. They also never turned off the light before giving me the car back so I had to turn around and wait again for a mechanic to become available. In my opinion the worst part is the fact I needed an oil change, new front brake pads, and rotors less than 2k miles after purchasing the car. I attempted calling their service department twice but was put on hold forever both times and decided I was better off buying the parts myself and bringing it elsewhere. So here is my dealer experience Sales- great staff and they try hard to get you into an car Service- worst experience So my sister in law purchase an use jeep for this dealer and ever thing was good when one and a half to two weeks later at her job the jeep wouldn't start so she had it tow to mohawlk Honda for repair where she revive a courtesy car until the repair was done. It end up being a bad starter they say. 8-9 months later same same thing happen again so she had it tow there again and they told here the starter is bad but she has warranty and she would have to pay $100 deductible so she did. 9-10 months later same issue and she might have to pay another deductible because they said it might not be the starter now it probably the ignition switch so she is angry because why pay $100 if they still haven't fix the issue the first time and who to say couple months down the line she not gonna have the same issue again. So my parents bought their Pilot at Mohawk and have gone back there for service over the years. I've also occasionally brought at least one of the two Civics I've owned there while visiting, as well as ogling one of the CR-Zs when they came out. That my family lives much closer to a couple other Honda dealerships in the area and continues to go to Mohawk by itself says something; at this point, they're both retired (as they say, on a "broken income"), have major medical issues to contend with, and really only drive that one car, the Pilot -- so they both have minimal time and money to deal with hassle and greatly rely upon the car they got and keep in shape at Mohawk Honda. We have some mind-boggling horror stories about Keeler in particular from learning along the way that Mohawk is the place to go in the area. At any rate, the double-edged situation of woohoo-no-more-payments/oh-crap-no-more-warranty has only recently arisen for the family's intrepid Pilot, and of course, when it came time to renew its inspection, there were leaks here there and everywhere, damage to one wheel, and a need for new tires and realignment. My folks are expecting their first grandchild soon, and were planning to drive down to Baltimore for the baby shower next month with a glider in the back for us - how the heck were they going to afford all of this and get here? How were they going to PAY for all this stuff? It caused a great deal of stress to hear all about this, for all of us. The Pilot is also a big part of how they enjoy their retirement, with the occasional day trip to Bolton Landing or Thatcher Park, or even to go and look at Christmas decorations around Old Niskayuna at that time of the year. It's their independence. It's *important.* Fortunately, especially one service department employee, Lisa, really went above and beyond the call of duty in making this as painless for my folks as possible. She helped them figure out discounts they were eligible for, hunted for good prices on necessary parts, and managed ultimately to help them get everything they needed to get done, done, for a price they could deal with. The car's in great shape now, and any fears about a long trip have been dispelled. My parents have been talking to Lisa and going into that service department for years; they've always had a friendly relationship, and were treated like people and respected good customers rather than anonymous consumers when this all happened. They've met her two year old daughter and talked to her about their incoming grandchild. They relate to each other as people, and that's a good and a rare thing. I've lived in several states around several different dealerships and service departments, some good and some really dreadful, without ever having that. You don't often get personal care from car dealerships, or even mom & pop garages, in this day and age. It says something about the character of the people who work at Mohawk Honda. My folks will keep going back, and our family will go on singing Mohawk Honda's praises to whoever needs a Honda or Honda service in the Capital District area. I've had a few bad experiences here, and a few good ones. I feel confident that I won't get ripped off when I go here with a problem I don't know the solution too. The service adviser I dealt with was great, and provided a detailed answer as to exactly what was going on, and I felt like I learned something. I love that you can drive in and get a quick oil change, and a tire rotation, and grab a coffee and relax in their great lounge area. That is the good. I've had bad. I bought my current Honda CR-V at Mohawk Honda a couple of years ago and my purchase was worked very efficiently by their sales and finance staff. While I would buy another Honda from Mohawk Honda, my review is more about their equally efficient parts and service staff and system. I can set up my service appointments online, get a shuttle ride to where I want to go while my car is being worked on or wait in their waiting area, which is very comfortable, offers snacks, a newspaper to read or a TV to watch. The service staff is quick to point out what is right or what is wrong with the car, there is a card program where a percentage of the dollar amount of your service calls can be used to provide a discount towards a future service (so maybe that brake job may not cost quite as much). The parts staff is also nice to work with, and has pointed out things that they've noticed can go wrong with a Honda based on what parts customers have ordered. I'm definitely a repeat customer here. read more

This review pertains only to the collision center. In early December, I had a minor accident resulting in a dent in the front bumper. The next day I called Allstate and they gave the option of using their app to take photos of the car to get a quick estimate or to wait 48 hours for an adjuster to come. So I used the app, got the estimate that day, and was advised to take the car to a shop of my choice, but to be prepared that there may be a supplemental if the shop finds more damage. Allstate's quote was based on knocking out the dent and repainting. Mohawk said they would need 3 days so we agreed to take the car in on December 26, Wednesday. At the end of the day, we called Mohawk (they weren't good at calling us) and they said that they need to replace the bumper and Allstate has 48 hours to approve the supplemental damage report. Friday at noon I called (they never called us) to ask about progress and was told that Allstate hadn't responded but they had 48 hours, which wasn't up yet, and that they would have the car for the weekend. At the end of the day I called again (they never called us) and asked about the progress. Well Allstate missed the 48 hour deadline but they went ahead and ordered the part. Monday, December 31, I called at about noon (they never called us) and was told that Allstate did approve the supplemental quote but they now have to order the part and Tuesday was a holiday. But I thought they already ordered the part. Really? They'll check. Anyway, the part wouldn't be in before Wednesday due to the holiday. Wednesday about mid day I called (they never called us) and, well, the part wasn't in yet. But I thought they ordered it on Friday. Well, yes, but it was after 2:00 which makes it the next day, and with Tuesday being a holiday, they couldn't get the part before Wednesday. But it wasn't in yet. End of day Wednesday I called (they never called us) and by then the office person sent the call right away to the guy working on the car. No part yet. Thursday, we called about mid-day. (they never called us). The part was in ! They hope to get to it that day but it needs time for the paint to dry so hopefully Friday. Friday the called us (Yay!). They'd pick us up about 5:00 to pick up the car. 5:30 they called back. The bumper had failed quality inspection BUT they'd bring a loaner around that we could keep for as long as it takes. It seemed the color wasn't quite right. (Doesn't a Honda part use Honda paint that matches the color?) Sigh! Finally, mid morning Saturday, they said the car was ready. My experience was fine, but the rating has to do with my interaction with Sales Manager Mark Ellis. He said it was my fault that the car I was interested in looking at was sold because I did not know their company policy about putting a deposit down to hold a car that one is interested in; even though that option was never presented to me by the associate I had been interacting with during the week. Then he said that my wife and I must not have been serious about buying a car if we didn't know their policy and put the vehicle on hold. Even though we made an appointment to go in to look at and ultimately purchase a vehicle. I have spent years working in customer service and could not imagine blaming the customer for not knowing company policy. We've had two memorable experiences with Mohawk Honda; the first was during the purchase of a new 2012 Pilot and the second was during a recent service visit. The purchase process was "meh" overall. The salesperson, Lindsay, was all smiles until we got to the price negotiations. We were left with the impression she expected us to accept their initial offer, and she then changed her tone with us when we pressed for a better deal. After agreeing, she indicated that the sales manager would come to us to discuss the purchase, etc. She then left us unattended at her sales cubical to go back on the main sales floor. We could see that she got herself a cup of coffee and possibly waiting for another customer. She looked in our direction a few times, but didn't return for a full 30 minutes, and the sales manager never did come over to us. This left us with the impression we weren't important customers and decided that after this purchase, we probably wouldn't come back to buy another car. The second experience with service happened recently. We had taken the Pilot back to Mohawk Honda for annual NY State inspections and also a couple of service recalls that were issued. Overall, these were fine except for the most recent. With a relatively "young" 44,000 miles on the vehicle, we took it in for an inspection. The car's 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty expired for us in October 2014, so we were just a couple months out of warranty. The mechanic indicated that the tie-rod end failed inspection and would require a $321 repair. When asked to demonstrate the problem, he said there was a little movement but could not definitively demonstrate an issue, which he then said was "just starting". He then said he traced it back to the rubber boot covering the tie rod end. My wife was there, and I was skeptical that a car that showed no signs of front end vibration, no uneven tire wear and no "play" in the steering. As this was a claimed safety issue, we had little recourse than to proceed with the repair or the Pilot would not have been inspected, which we felt was "convenient". I asked my wife to request that the part be retained, which we kept. There was no apparently damage to the part, no "play", no galling of the ball-and-socket, and the grease around the joint was clean (no grit) suggesting that there had been no appreciable wear. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eksr3ZsJzK8 We were disappointed for three reasons: 1) If a tie-rod end is failing at 44,000 miles, something is wrong with the design, which Honda should have considered. 2) We felt that the mechanic and service manager may have been misleading in their assessment of the need for a repair, possibly trying to "pad" their service work. 3) If the part was legitimately bad, there was no consideration to make the repair on "good will" for a vehicle that had just gone out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty (turns out the tie-rod end is not part of the drive train, so not part of the 5 year warranty that was still in effect). A continuous horrific experience with the service department. What's been going on here has been going on for almost three months. I purchased a used van that has been nothing but problems from day two. I have stated over three times that there were issues and three times, they never truly fixed it all, even after my mechanic confirmed my fears. They have sent it to a different dealership two times now, but dealing directly with this service department has been a nightmare. They have essentially called me a liar; more than one service rep has talked about me poorly while I was waiting with my kids for the problem to be fixed. And they simply don't care once you have purchased a vehicle from them. I got a flat tire on the courtesy vehicle, almost immediately after the second time of telling them something was still wrong. When I returned the courtesy vehicle, they wouldn't fix the flat for at least 90 minutes though there was no one there waiting. I was treated like dirt, and embarrassed. After returning the courtesy car a week later, with a donut on it still, they decide over two weeks later to charge me for the flat tire, for almost 200.00. Oh and btw, my van is still not fixed. The sales people are amazing; the service dept., not so much. Be aware. read more

I contacted this dealership 3 days prior to my visit, as my local Honda dealership didn't have the vehicle I wanted to see, and this one listed two. Scott, the internet manager made me an appointment, which I hoped meant they were serious about showing me the car. I arrived on a weekday, early afternoon, and asked for Scott. Every person I met was polite, but everybody who happened by while I was waiting for Scott had to introduce themselves. Scott appeared about ten minutes after our arrival, introduced himself, then immediately handed me off to Travis. Travis introduced me to 3 more sales people before mentioning that the car I requested wasn't actually on their lot, but in their storage facility (the airport across the street). Did I want cookies or coffee? I could look at a similar vehicle in the showroom while I waited. And waited. And waited. About 35 minutes after arriving, the car finally showed up, and it was nice enough. Ready to leave for a test drive? Nope, because Travis wants to ride along too. I politely declined, which seemed to bother him, and as I started to walk off the lot, he scrambled to explain that their dealership has a policy that a salesperson must be in the car for all test drives. I thanked him, and shared my suspicion that another of the 5 Honda dealerships in the area might have a different policy. Mind you, he already had my contact information, my car sat in front of the showroom, and he had a photocopy of my valid drivers license on his desk. I thanked him again, started walking, and he hurried to ask his manager to make an exception. At the 45 minute mark, they decided that if I gave them a copy of my insurance card, I could test drive without a salesman in the car. As I wanted to drive that car, I relented. Almost 50 minutes after our arrival, we're headed for our first test drive. I pull to the road, prepare to turn right, and realize that the drivers window is so filthy I can't see to drive. A quick stop at a gas station down the road, I've washed their window and completed the test drive. The car was okay, not like others we drove, I'm sure some of the magic was lost for us after the very long wait. On our return, the second car we'd requested wasn't ready, so we waited a few more minutes, then drove it briefly. On our return, Travis wanted us to meet the guy that estimates trade ins. They gave our car a two minute, exterior inspection and said they'd be in touch. The dealership website said the car was msrp about $25k, but that was crossed off with a "ask us about our sale price", which I did. I asked before and after the test drive, as well as by email the following week. I continually was asked to make an offer - which is different than the asking price. After four emails, I finally got an asking price (just a bit under sticker) and a dismal offer on our trade. When I questioned the trade and lack reduction on the sticker price, I was told that Travis would help me to get a refund on my remaining registration with the state to help save some money. I'm sorry, I mistook this for a place that likes to sell cars. TL/DR - - asks for an appointment for test drive, car not on-site or ready to be test driven (dirty) at appointment time. - nearly one hour delay in getting started with a scheduled test drive. - antiquated test drive policy requiring salesman in the car. - much more concerned about staff introductions, cookies/coffee than looking at or test driving cars. - unwilling to negotiate a purchase price. - very low offer on a good condition trade (that I traded a week later across town for twice what this dealer offered). read more

Purchased a certified pre-owned car less than one month ago. Came out today and it won't start. The lights were not left on. When I phoned the dealer, I was given the number for roadside assistance. I called roadside assistance and was advised they have no record of my car. Called Mohawk back and they don't know why roadside assistance has no record of my car. But suggested I call AAA or a towing company to have the car brought to them. I don't have AAA because my car came with Roadside assistance. I am sitting approximately 2 miles from the dealership waiting for my husband to drive an hour to come get me. I recently purchased a certified pre owned 2012 Honda accord with low mileage. I am happy with the car itself but very disappointed in Mohawk Hondas detailing system. Also, they did not have the car ready when i went to pick it up. I made an appointment to pick up my car at 3 and it was not ready until 430. When I finally got the car the inside smelled horrible. There was dog fur all over the seat and it was apparent that the dog had urinated on the back seat. For a car that I was already paying more for because it was certified I would have expected the inside to have been cleaned and detailed. Aside from that, when I picked up the car there was a dent above the wheel that I did not notice the day before because the cars were parked so close together. The dent was also not brought to my attention by the sales person. I am taking the car back on Tuesday and my sales person explained that they would fix the dent free of charge. I feel that if you are paying more for a certified car, pre owned or not, you should get the car in the best condition possible. Hopefully they are able to do right by me. Perhaps Mohawk Honda should spend less on cookies, refreshments, and entertainment and more on making sure that their certified cars have a "like new" appearance. read more

Let me start with a quote from the sales manager this afternoon: "if your mechanic has a problem with it, then he can call me, since we send them business from time to time and we didn't do anything illegal" If you want legal, nothing to complain here. And overall, Honda is a good car. BUT, I just finished a visit with my mechanic because the air pressure tire light was on. It turns out, I was sold a car where one side of the car (two tires) had an air pressure of 40 and the other side 25 (two tires). Also, my mechanic let me know that I would need new tires in the Fall. So, for a certified 2012 Honda Civic, Mohawk Honda was within their requirements by law. And yet, I feel very unsettled about a less-than-perfect experience. Did I mention that I was told when buying the car that it had "brand new tires"? Well, the car is certified, purchased with bumper-to-bumper insurance, and I'll be paying out of pocket to go to my own mechanic as much as I can. I hope that tells you how much trust I now put into Mohawk Honda. Chances I would recommend to friends and family = 0%. read more

Their customer service and professionalism is horrible to experience. If you're expecting communication and timely expectations -- might as well disregard getting that from them. I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks out for I work in the insurance industry myself and travel for work. I was told that an appraiser only works certain weekends and was ensured that their would be one on staff for my appointment. This is when it started to twist into a mess and I should have just walked out. The date of my appointment came -- I arrived 15 mins early. I walked into the shop to acknowledge that I have arrived. A lady advised me that they don't have an appointment for me and there is no appraiser on staff. Even though I sat with the young lady 3 weeks prior and watched her enter all my inforjmation into the computer. (First computer on the right as you walk through the door). I advised that I was scheduled for an appointment with an appraiser and not a soul called me to inform me or even just simply offer a reschedule. The lady became very embracive but said she would take my pictures and have them email the appraisal to me. 2 weeks have gone by and I have not yet to receive my said appraisal. I decided to call to find out where things were. A young lady answerEd the phone and was quite rude from the get go. They said that my email had kick backs even though I verified it twice and receive Emails from work to it. I asked why no one called me? After she kept calling me by the wrong name continuously -- I explained that I have no missed calls or voicemails. The lady snapped attitude and asked for an alternative email. This time a provided my work email and confirmed that she had it correct. She quickly responded they would send that out and then hung up the phone without being able to get clarification on my additional questions or want to schedule a drop off date. I have yet to still receive that said appraisal. After long thought I will not be using this shop for multiple reasons. I work for a Fortune 500 global insurance company and out of my experience have never received thus far horrible of an experience. I wouldn't recommend any clients to them either. There seems to be a lot of unfair and bad faith coordination with this auto body. I had very high expectations for them specially with their name and advertisements -- not to mention family that works for Mohawk Honda -- but was quick to learn it will be a let down. I'm very disappointed for I really wanted there to be a great outcome. Maybe I was pushed aside because I am paying out of pocket for minor damages? Maybe it's because I'm a middle aged adult? Not sure, but now I am concerned to even have this shop work on my vehicle because if their is an issue and based on experience thus far -- it wouldn't be a great out come. Issues: Poor management/ organization, poor communication/customer experience, poor resolutions to simple handling, lack of compassion/empathy, lack of pride in the work they complete. To the shop: if you read this -- this isn't anything personal. However, you should really focus on your customer service and outreach -- focusing on the experience. To make a customer feel unimportant and careless with their experience and input is just unacceptable. I truly don't think the Harden Family has this expectation set for their based on what I received. You must do better. I want you to better. Not for me, but your brand and the future customer that expect the strength and leadership you should be withholding. read more

I bought my car from Mohawk Honda, and the process with quick and painless. I would even say it was enjoyable. However, when I bring my car in for repairs I am often unimpressed. I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation awhile back and when I was driving to work the next morning my front tire started moving around; It could have been awful. Turns out they didn't tighten the lug nuts back on and I could have lost my entire front tire, and done a great deal of damage to my car, and myself. Called them and they didn't seem too concerned and offered no reciprocation. If you are buying a car in upstate NY, this is the place, but seek out another garage for repairs. read more

Paid top dollar for a used honda accord. Over blue book like a moron because I was so sick of haggling and just wanted a car. The car itself was great and I had it for a little over a year with no major issues. So I got a quality car at a non quality price which was my own fault. My sister then went there and purchased an Acura and told them I referred her yet I never received my 100 dollars as they promised. They also tried talking me into a costly warranty. Which for the amount I spent they should have gave me. Once again that's also my fault. The worst part is. I was told my information would never be sold to any third party. Well that was a huge lie. I am constantly getting phone calls and mail for warranty programs regarding my car. No matter how many times I tell them to stop another company will just call. This is a very dirty move on their part. If you want to negotiate a price for weeks you might make out but I will not be returning to them. They get two stars because the vehicle itself was to satisfaction. But it's a honda accord so typically they are very good cars. read more

We leased our third car from this dealership today and we were satisfied with how we were treated every time. We will go back again when this lease is up. I also like that they have hot beverages available and a room for kids to play. Salespeople are helpful and not overly pushy. Overall, a great experience. read more

We bought a 2013 Honda Accord new from Mohawk Honda in Scotia. At the 50K mark, it began to consume two quarts of oil between oil changes. We were told this was 'normal' [Now realize my 200K Subaru never burned a drip between changes and my 196K Ford Focus doesn't either]. Mohawk said "Unless it burns more than one quart every 1000 miles, it is normal!" Well, we are now adding a quart a week (or every 200 miles or so) and Mohawk Honda's service manager won't return our calls. Car is at 85K now. I think they are procrastinating until they will no longer be responsible to fix this lemon. It is reported that 2013 Accords have an oil consumption issue that Honda is aware of. We'll never buy another Honda! read more

I stupidly popped my tire at the car wash down the street on my Acura. I went right there and they had my tire in stock and were able to put it on!! I was there for about an hour and a half but beggars can't be choosers! I was pleased with my service! I have gotten service there before on my old Honda as well and have always been happy with them overall! read more

I just had a fantastic experience at Mohawk for our first time buying from a dealer. I was a little skeptical coming in but from start to finish they made it clear and easy for us and I actually left excited. We got a 2012 certified car at a good interest rate and with bumper to bumper warranty. Our sales consultant Kurt was very experienced (10 years or so at the same place) and personable and went over every detail of the car and pricing with professionalism. I felt like I mattered and was a priority even though I am sure I am not the biggest spending customer. Financing was also clear and answered all my questions without hesitation. When all was agreed, Kurt went way out of his way to even pick us up from our house to give us a ride when we picked up the car! He also made sure the additional features we added to the car were installed quickly and gave us accurate estimates on when to pick up. All in all I stopped in on a Weds night and by Saturday morning drove away in a car we look forward to enjoying for a long time to come. In reading all the paperwork later I did notice a small discount I had was not applied and contacted him, and he immediately apologized and rectified it and is sending a check. I am pretty thorough and scrutinize situations- but I can say in all honesty his whole experience was one I am at peace with and feel like it was actually an example of a fair sale and great customer service. I have not tried the service department yet but I sure hope it will be as pleasant as the sales. read more

My review specifically relates to the Service Dept which was exceptional. I had a major power train issue, fortunately still under warranty. They handled with the mfgtr (Honda) and gave me a loaner (Honda does not cover loaners) And I didn't even biy the car there! Every time I walk in the door 3 people try to help me-it's refreshing & awesome to see some real customer service. Will definitely give them a chance when I'm in the market for a new car. read more

WORST PLACE TO BUY A CAR!! DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! I searched all over the capital region to find a car dealership with decent customer service and MOHAWK HONDA is absolutely NOT THE PLACE!! The cars are great but no thanks to the service department. I have been lied to on numerous occasions by both management and the sales team. For instance, before purchasing my car the salesman promised me he would deliver it to my home - he did not and I had to go pick it up and wait for it to be ready (this is only one example of his numerous lies). The service department attempted to over charge me without checking first that the service was included in my already purchased package. Mohawk honda only adjusted the bill after I explained the mistake. 2 times I have been to the service department and each time I leave there is a new problem with my car that requires me to return. If wasting time is of interest to you, then Mohawk Honda is your flagship. Clearly, customer service and satisfaction is not a priority at this place. Get your Honda anywhere else. Way too many headaches and disorganization here. Mohawk Honda in Scotia is terrible!!! read more

I am very disappointed with Mohawk Honda. I have had the pleasure of dealing with them 4 years ago and was so impressed by their salesmanship and honesty that I was eager to return to them for a new car purchase. I am leaving 2 stars because even with the pandemic, I was able to connect with sales to try to make this purchase happen. Unfortunately the original salesperson I had the pleasure of meeting prior to the pandemic was not available and I had to work with Heather. With everything being done via internet and texting and phone calls, it became a difficult process. What I did not appreciate were the "sales tactics" (or manipulations) that were attempted. My initial offer was rejected as it was an internet purchase and they are non-negotiable (although EVERYTHING is an internet purchase with the pandemic). I asked if the internet offer could include a roof rack. This was rejected. I said thank you anyways and moved on. I then received offers for another vehicle that was similar in price, 2 years old, next level trim, but 25,000 more miles. "BUT it had roof rails!" The cost of the rails was not worth the 2 more years of the age of the car nor the extra mileage. I said no thank and offered again on the original vehicle I looked at. I then got a text saying that I could purchase the vehicle now and have the rails and crossbars installed later. When I asked if the rack would be included at no extra cost or if I would need to pay later, I received the same response. "You can purchase the car now and get rails and crossbar installed at a later time." As clear as mud. It was not until we spoke on the phone that I was told it would be an additional cost. At this point, Heather failed to mention to me that the price of the car had dropped $300 online (I found that out myself). The vague response and lack of informing me of the price drop was enough for me to say no thank you to any vehicle from Mohawk Honda. I was fine with hearing no the first and second time I made an offer. It was the manipulative tactics that were so unnecessary. Was she hoping I would just mistakenly click "make the deal"? It sure felt that way. read more
